Somebody posted images of this deck at a forum I frequent and they're quite disappointed in it, since a lot of the text on the cards is word salad like "Stay in thy power dear child, for thy lonely is never alone. When the world is dreadful upon thy, turn to the spirits within thy." A lot of them read like badly translated dollar store packaging.
What is instresting is, instead of Imbolc deck being next, they are skipping ahead to Beltane instead. I kinda wished they stayed in order but I'm so glad to have an idea of which deck is next.
Fantastic walkthrough as usual thank you Kelly. I wasn't sure whether to get the samhain one and tbh it was the lack of diversity that really stopped me before but I've ordered it after watching both your walk-through of both decks and will definitely be getting the yule one closer to yule and the others. So happy that creators are updating decks to be more inclusive. I wish Deborah Blake would update the Everyday witch tarot

The deck is beautiful but I am disappointed that the poetry often gives no clue as to the meaning of the card. Key words on the cards would be useful. And the use of thy instead of thee or thou when appropriate is disconcerting. But the guidebook is wonderful.
🤣 the thy, thou, thee is really messing with my head, too. I like the idea of adding poetry, but I think I would rather have keywords on the cards and a poem in the book.

Loved to see you go through these decks Kelly :) I recently got the Samhain one and I was positively surprised by the backing & guilding which I thought was maybe going to look a little cheesy. But it looked so good, and makes me want to get the Yule one too. Christmas is so flamboyant and high energy and whilst I love that seasons with all the decorations and lights and all that jazz, I love the energy of this deck. It's a different way to celebrate and look at the holiday by slowing down, get more in tune with nature and nature changes and looking inward. Which the whole world should really do to be honest, we get Christmas stuff in the stores before Halloween here, so I'm walking around looking at Santa Clause and tombstones and killer clown masks next to each other, and I honestly find it very draining. It's not right, we're just condtitioned to think it just has to be this way. Sorry for this looong ramble, that turned into something else, but I guess there is no end to what a few cards can make us feel 😊 Thank you for your amazing walkthroughs and many autumn blessing to you 🍂
I bought this deck and I can't believe how ridiculously bad the text on the cards is. Nearly all the thy's are used incorrectly and the grammar is poor. I really like the art though. I find it unusable.

The "thys" definitely are very strange at time :/

I just ignore the poem. Maybe I'll appreciate in a later time but right now I'm not a fan. Love the decks though.

Maybe a trim off the bottom text? I have done that with oracle decks before!
