BBC Radio2 will premier the song on 4th April at approximately 11:10 am (UK Time)

I can't she wrote this song so long ago. It's one of my favs off The Sensual World but I have only really related to the meaning and feel of this song in the last couple of weeks. If there were ever words to convey how I am feeling in this moment of time it's this. Thank you. x

Kate is back! I haven't been this excited over an album release in such a long time. I'm pretty sure that when the single is released I will be playing it in a loop until the album comes out, or until my head explodes. Whichever comes first...

Can't make a judgement call from a 46 second excerpt, but it sounds good, something to chill out to before retiring for the night. Which is when I listen to most of my music nowadays being middle-aged and all! Still fond of the original though.
I love the live feel it has. Just ordered the cd-pack & vinyl doubler at my KTB dealer. He still knew who i was after six years.

@ravettox The reason for the hype is that absolutely nothing has been heard of her since 2005 and the fact that know she is working on new material.
Fans are excited for anything she does because it happens so rarely.

The new computerized vocals are not included in this sample, but it's very different from the old version - love it already!
I love Kate Bush. I have everything she's ever done. Having said that, I went to katebush.com and tried to hear the whole song. I couldn't make it through the whole thing. It was sad. Why take something beautiful, remake a shitty verison. Just to make money without trying? Must everyone let you down? Heartbreaking. What a world, what a world.

Have you listened to the Lily sample? The original Lily is one of my favorite Kate songs. The 30 second sample sounds pretty good. I just wish the whole thing would leak so I could really make up my mind.
Trio Bulgarka prominent on the Sensual World track...a fine piece of work.
Just listened to it on BBC2. It's quite interesting. Will need a few more listens to make up my mind about it and to figure out which version I prefer best. But I was surprised it was less than 3 and a half minutes. I thought it was going to be 6:32? That's was Amazon stated...

I know it's only a short clip, but she removed the best part!! The Trio Bulgarka!! Luckily the original is still around and still sounds fantastic.
I'll be honest and say it does take some time to adjust away from the original version we've fallen in love with. Regardless, I cannot wait to hear the rest!

@terryperring104 I've studied this too. Not sure about Kate's specific involvement, but many artists are or were mind controlled -- research on MKULTRA and "satanic music industry". I still love KB's original material though. It changed my life.

@brekkiechef Well, maybe it wasn't formulated quite right. It's just, I wont buy the album, if it's basically more or less the same as the original. The song isn't boring, but it would be boring to make a whole new album, if there's not a significant difference.

@proto1type I agree - I can't believe how sloppy and generally crap this is. The original was beautiful but this sounds like it was produced by the work experience kid. Some people will assume it's just more evidence of her bold artistic genius but they'd probably say the same if she released a record of her blowing her nose or burping. She certainly was a genius and still a national treasure, but I think the golden years are long passed.

It's not that different from the original. I hope the other remakes will be more different, otherwise, it could end up a little boring...

I like a lot of Kate's music. Just recently heard about the new album and I saw a news site that had this new version of DU uploaded. I listened to it and must say I was pretty horrified at it. All in all, I think it's a pretty nifty idea to go back and rework some of your older songs. But if they all sound as badly as this one...I think I'll pass.
No offense to Kate or to any Kate fans either.
