I’m frequently praying when I’m out backpacking…especially when I’m solo! People ask me if I get lonely or afraid. Like you said, I’ll have challenging and sometimes scary moments, but I know I’m not really alone…and that gives me strength. You’re a wise lady!
This section of the CDT is tough but scenic. From Pinedale, you will most likely head up into the Wind River Range. That will be some of the most scenic yet difficult trail before you drop out of the High Country. After below the Wind River you will come to the South Pass where the CDT splits. The western route is shorter but extremely dry. You will be dreaming of mountains again before you see the Medicine Bow or Colorado peaks. Keep your amazing attitude/spirit and the Good Lord will get you through it. Just remember that the Colorado 14's are awaiting.
19:35 That's a fox. You can see it's tail when it turns (especially the white tip) and the way its ears sit on top of its head. I love seeing them, they're really smart but also curious.
Kelly, this is the best journey you've ever been on. You'll cherish this forever, and it will strengthen, even more, your relationship with The Almighty for all the days of your life. Thanks for sharing.
Kelly, Thank you for sharing your journeys with us. There’s a lot of RUclipsrs I’m subscribed to, but just know your attitude on life and your content keep you in the top 5! I hope you continue to be safe throughout your hike the CDT along with your friends that if not already will definitely all be family by the time y’all are done! Keep it up and Good luck!
What I like the most from your videos is showing us the highs and the lows of thru hiking. In the morning you're relaxin in a hot spring with Pepsi under blue bird sky's and in the evening you're in a thunderstorm, no fluff here.
We can all learn from your attitude about embracing the suck. Very impressive ! I think you inspire people for sure just in their daily lives. You got back out and hiked after a major surgery on the AT. You are a bad ass tough as nails woman!
Listening to you narrate at the end of the video is inspiring. You’ve grown so much on this trip ❤ and sharing about your talks with God while on your journey is beautiful.
The Wind river mountains are amazing. There are alot of good side trips in the wind river mountains. Last summer I took a side trip to Island Lake/Indian pass and standing on a 12,000 ft ridge with small glaciers on one side, a high lush green valley dotted with little lakes and then dropping down to Island lake with a bunch of wildflowers and stunted subalpine trees was amazing.
Beautiful country. I used to live in CO and NM but never been to WY. You sold me! If I ever move back to the mainland from Hawaii, it will be CO, NM, or now WY. Thank you. Happy Trails!
I wish you the best Syrup. 🙏 Pepsi in the hot spring to dodging hail and lightning. 9L running the gamut. High elevation and lower O2 levels, and you guys are still sending it. 💪👏 Rest well everyone 🌲🏕🌲
Kelly you have my vote for Queen of the CDT 2024 !! I'm really curious to see what your going to encounter in the Basin, Co Rockies and the NM Landscape and desert in the fall and early winter SoBo rocks so far !
Your comments at the end of video are so inspiring and impactful. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences …such a beautiful place. By the way, Granite Falls is where they filmed the waterfall you see in the movie A River Runs Through It with Brad Pitt.
Some cool hiking, Kelly!❤. Beautiful campsites! Recently tore my Achilles tendon…on my road to recovery now. Hope to be out hiking and mushroom hunting again soon!😊. Stay wildernessy!!❤
Thanks for sharing...! That country is so rich with history..! Lewis and Clark, Ashleys 100 with Jim Bridger and Hugh glass and many other famous mountain men.... Cool to see it threw your eyes..!
I'm so happy you got AG1 for your health ❤. You'll definitely notice a difference in a week or so. I take similar. NAC is another one that is great for overall health and detox. This video was awesome ❤. Love the hot springs 😍. Enjoy Kell😊
We camped in one of the dispersed sites along that road on a road trip from Atlanta to Anchorage at the end of June. Absolutely magnificent area. That small falls was a nice surprise and the views were great but we weren’t enamored with a concrete spring so we skipped the soak. Good luck on the rest of your journey.
Kelly!!! You AMAZE ME!! You are so strong 💪💗 This is a day that you will never forget!! God bless you and your friends through this INCREDIBLE JOURNEY 🙏🙏💕💕
❤ you are truly a warrior on your own. God is always on your side. My prayers for your wonderful journey. God Bless you!! Thank you for sharing all those beautiful views. ❤
I believe your faith in The Lord, your experiences, all your training and preparation before the hike have paid off. You know your limitations and you know you can push on in such situations. Is there a risk of a situation getting out of hand? What are the situations that you will never put yourself in? What is your thought process when you plan your hike through a difficult section? Thank you so much for sharing your journey.
Howdy Kelly ! Well now we know that Arkansas girls say “Coke” for all soft drinks as well! You corrected it but we caught ya! 😅Love the hike…so,glad you went SOBO..have watched some horror stories in Montana On-The NB in the fall with huge snow storms! Looking forward to CO and NM where I have spent a lot of time! Saddle up!🤠🇺🇸🇨🇱🏔️
What a beautiful but tough hike. Thanks for sharing this even through the thick and thin mud. Co*19 messes with a lot of womens time of the month. Hope you get back to 100% soon.
Don’t push too hard. There’s a reason why your body isn’t performing at the top of the hiking part: it’s preoccupied on working on your health at a deeper level. Don’t go against that, it needs what it needs, try and listen to it. It tells you everything that’s going on. Take care!! 👋
As Marina McBride sang, "Everybody knows that the sweetest thing that you'll ever see in the whole wide world is a happy girl. " That's what came to mind when you hit that hot springs!
I’m going to say it again you are absolutely amazing. This trail I believe was made for you. I love when you speak about God for we can’t do the hard things in life without walking with him. Happy Hiking ⛺️🏔️🥾
LOL! "We are headed back up to where the Hot Springs pool is hopefully the lady doesn't recognize us from last night when we were trying to get in there past uh operating hours. hehehe"
Hey Kelly you might want to go to a OBGYN when you get off trail about your periods if they continue. I had a similar issue when I was late 30’s. Anyway, praying 🙏 for ya ‘all and your hiker friend with the leg issue. Great video
I think it’s just because I’m pushing my body so hard. Never had a problem before hand. If it continues I’ll get it checked out but I think it’s an acute thing
Im 28, had a tubaligation at 25, and randomly started suffering from 2 Week cycles about 2 years ago amd went back on depo just to stop it/hopefully reset it. 😔

Kelly when you get back home I would like to give you about 8 ball caps unused. I live in C.A. too not to far from you. I enjoy the heck out of your videos. Hope you don't mind me asking you. Stay safe
Some light weight rain pants would help retain body heat and protect your legs, hiking at night is risky could walk off a cliff,be careful who are you racing.
You are right about keeping God in your Heart that is the way I do it. May God Bless all of you. Yes I am Night Fishing fixing to go back in. BTW I have been using AG1 for a while and it works. Be safe!!!!!!
