I have read some of the Gaslands book this morning and I thought I should watch a few videos before I get completely confused.I'm a visualizer. never been good at reading stuff and understanding. show me once maybe twice and we're good. so I may watch this again later as well as some other videos out there. Subbed.
I’m the same, when I start a new game. I read some of the rules, and get lost, watch a video of it, then read the rules, and I’m pretty good to go. I hope you enjoy the game! I love it. Thanks for watching and the encouraging comment!!
It does sound confusing, even while reading it, I get turned around, but when you actually play through it it gets pretty easy. As far as the flip check, Done never got to 6 hazard tokens, so he never had a wipeout or test for a flip.
I hit a wall in second gear on phase 2 turn. I had to wait for gear phase 1 to come back around to put my car in reverse (5 turns). I had to wait for gear phase 1 again to go forward from 1st gear (another 6 turns). Thats 11 turns and basically automatic loss of game. A buddy was teaching me the game this way. Seems like a lot of turns lost and the other person playing by themself.
That’s a terrible situation!! The opponent being able to activate in every gear phase is unusual, many cars don’t go up to gear 6, and the maneuvers available in higher gears are not great. Another change as you get into the game, your team will usually have more than one car, and that helps. But yes, in some races and track set ups you can get a super raw deal like that!
Ah, yeah that would be a rough one. I know a friend had a similar frustration his first game because he had trucks and another friend had performance cars, and after the first round the cars were too far ahead for him to do anything about.
You have missed a very important rule ! If you start your activation touching an obstacle, you ignore it for your movement. So you should not lose 2 complete turn to go back on track.
Thanks for watching!! The number of weapons a vehicle can have depends on the number of build slots it has, and the number of build slots the weapon takes. Also you can mount a weapon on a turret for 3 times the weapon cost, and then it can be fired in any direction. Also remember some weapons are "crew fired" and they can be fired in any direction as well. I hope that helps answer your question!

Wow. This is confusing. 🤣
Connor wants to know:
Why didn't Done go through his flip check at the end?

Eh?...sorry your background music has taken over and become your foreground
Yeah, I have been struggling with getting it balanced.

@@rollinbones9201 There were some long straights and we were playing single high performance cars.
