I am 65 years old and am recently dealing with thinning hair do to Sjogren's Syndrome, Covid, and underactive Thyroid. I have only purchased one wig so far. Your videos are so very helpful to me! I appreciate all of the great advice and content that you share on your channel. Thanks so much!!
I also have autoimmune disease. Those two, plus 3 others. I just bought my first wig after 6 months of research here and anywhere else I could get good, solid information to help make my beginning wig journey more successful. Amanda's videos are the best! Still waiting for my first wig to arrive. Nervous, but happy to have taken that first step. Good luck on your journey!
You have such a charming way of presenting information that makes it so accessible and non-intimidating!! The image of your son kicking your wig around the floor was too funny!!
Aw that’s such a sweet comment! Thank you so much! I’m glad you think so! lol! Poor thing didn’t realize he was traumatizing me while he was kicking it around 😂
Thank you for this list! Admittedly, I do lay around some evenings while watching tv or reading with my wig on! Indeed, it DOES tangle more due to this. I have learned my own techniques for dealing with the tangles and it has been a revelation that my heat-friendly wigs need HEAT to stay nice!
Ok. I fried my first wig at Thanksgiving by opening the oven door. Fortunately, I saw a video on how to restore a burned wig and after trimming, steaming and some creative styling, I can still wear it. Which leads to … I wear that wig to the barn (I have a horse and I ride every day). I have “barn wigs” and good wigs, kind of like workout wigs for some people. My husband lets me know when the barn wigs need a wash😅
My biggest fear with swimming is ... my wig comes off and without knowing it, i leave the pool while a crowd races to the wig to find my body and resuscitate me. How embarrassing that would be !!! 🤣
Hey Amanda, As you can tell I barely miss you. I’m an old lady 70 yrs old, and I live alone. As I’m not very healthy. But I don’t have a funny story but I did open the oven when my sisters were visiting and it definitely got burnt. I had to trim it and restyle. But I was wondering if we keep our wigs in there box can we but something like a dryer sheet to keep it smelling good?😊
You look beautiful in any wig you wear. Can you share with me what I am doing wrong when my wig does not fit to the crown of my head. Feel like a cone head. Just starting to wear. Thanks for any tips you might suggest.❤
My hair has been thinning for months and especially my temple and side areas. Its to the point i am considering shaving my head and wearing wigs daily. But where i work is really hot in the summer and i wear a hairnet at work so i usually tie my hair back in a loose pony. How miserable will that be to wear a wig in high humidity working daily? And will the wig be noticeable tied back? How often would that leave me having to wash the wig? Also i have a larger sized head lol. So what if i shave my head and the wigs do not fit well? How do you know what size to buy? If anyone can help?

You can! Hugs for you Sharon! ❤️
Thank you for all your great advice. You mentioned storing wigs. What is the best & most proper way to store a synthetic wig?
You can store it in the box it came in or on a stand. 😊
This is a video Amanda made discussing several ways to store wigs. ruclips.net/video/LrCAW4LByOU/видео.htmlsi=tvuyFp_TgK3Ov_Jz
Thank you❤

Amanda, great video. I have several “blend” wigs human hair and hf synthetic. I used hh products. Can they become damaged from that? Thanks 😊
Great info. Thanks! The shampoo and other special stuff can be found at Amazon. Am I right?
Hi - will this wig work if you have an 22.75 circumference?

How long is a synthetic wig supposed to last
3 to 6 months depending on how you wear it
I’ve had some synthetics for years and still wear them. I don’t wear them daily and I take good care of them. So…they can last a good long time!
❤ looking nice ❤
How to get this wing
