    I am one of the few people who traveled to the edge of the freeform canvas and back, and lived to tell the tale. What I saw there, I can not repeat, but it has haunted me all my days.

    Thank you. I had never found a reason to use Freeform until now.

    I always watch your videos even if I don’t need to use that app because one day something will come up where I need to - well explained too

    Very informative. I remember creating collages back when it was VERY difficult to find the right software tools, unless you had a million bucks to drop on Photoshop or the like (which I of course did not!).
    I think Apple has created such a great piece of software with the unsung Freeform app. It can do so many things, from outlining a novel to creating business flow charts, to photo collages.

    Wow! I’ve not used Freeform but can see several things I’ve struggled to do in Pages would be easy using this. Thanks!

    Another great video! One reason to own a Mac is that it comes with many free programs, like Freeform, that you can use in many unique and different ways. Thank you for showing us yet another way to create collages for free on a Mac.

    Great! I've played around with freeform a bit, but didn't find it useful until this video: I write poetry that often accompanies images ..... which I could, when finished, now save as a jpg! Thanks!

    If ever the Guiness book of world records happens to hold a contest labelled 'Mac genius', I am sure Gary that you will be the one and only candidate worthy to receive that record😀. BTW, Freeform is available on my iPhone [SE, 2nd generation on iOS 17.0.3, but my iMac is still chugging along with Mojave and doesn't have Freeform.

    Hey Gary, great video. If I wanted to use this to create a collage for a calendar, is there a ruler tool in Freeform that would allow me to size up an 8.5 by 11 page? Thanks!

    • @macmost
      @macmost  5 месяцев назад +2

      No. It doesn't deal with print sizes at all. So your options are to either use Pages where it very much does deal with print sizes, or do a quick sample test (throw a few images on a board) and export and see if it is around the right resolution (or higher) when you bring it into whatever you are using to make the calendar.

    Would it be safe to say that Freeform is Keynote Light?

    • @macmost
      @macmost  4 месяца назад +1

      There is some cross-over, but with Pages too. But I wouldn't say that.

    Awesome Gary! 2 questions, one: I find both Mac and IPad are different features and a few missing one, is there difference between iPad and Mac? 2: How do I save it to iPad library? Thank you!

    • @macmost
      @macmost  5 месяцев назад

      Not sure what you are asking. There are differences in the Freeform app, yes, like with the iPad you can draw. Not sure what you mean about saving to the iPad library. Saving where, exactly?

      @@macmost What I asking saving photo to photo file in iPad.

    • @macmost
      @macmost  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@10OF9OFBORG If you mean save it as a file, then use the three-dots button and export it. You'll get a PDF and can choose where to save it. But if you mean save it to your Photos Library, then I don't see an easy way as you'd need another app to convert the PDF to an image format.

    I really wish Keynote had image rounded corners capability without having to do it using rounded corner rectangle as a mask.

    Any application for Windows like freeform? @garry

    • @macmost
      @macmost  5 месяцев назад

      I'm sure there are many third-party apps, including just regular vector graphics apps and also PowerPoint. It depends on what aspect of Freeform you are trying to recreate. I'd ask a Windows expert this though, as I wouldn't know.
