I wonder how much of the lack of effort in the Bowl game had to do with a full season of their head coach saying he doesn't have the talent played into it. Sounds like Hugh didn't have much involvement with these guys this season and that would explain the locker room situation. If you don't show the player's effort then how can we expect them to show it themselves?
Nailed it...If you sit out then no NIL check. It's as simple as that. As far as PT you have to run him. If you don't then there is no chance in the passing game. It reminded of the Texas A&M game
Me and my Dad only stayed because we payed so much for the tickets the effort from coaches and some players was extremely disappointing bit we met some damn good people hopefully the future is brighter then that mess we watched War Eagle guys and thanks for the good content
I think too, they need to add the bowl games in the beginning of the season instead of the end maybe, I think it will bring excitement to the beginning of the season and also if players are getting NiL like and NFL Contract they shouldn’t be allowed to sit out for bowl games
WDE guys. I feel everything yall said. Life long Auburn fan living in Alaska now. Yesterday i had to turn the game off I was so disgusted with the lack of effort. I believe in HF but Monty has to go and Hugh has to set the standard starting now!
I’m with you on that Dustin! My first EVER game leaving An Auburn game, I always stay til the clock hits 0, but it was too miserable to watch I left right before Hank went in, but they didn’t look hyped at all for the game and it’s embarrassing, and also you’re right we need those southern boys to lead this southern team
Maryland wanted it. We thought we were going to just trapse through this game because their qb1 opted out. New Mexico State 2.0. There were some young guys who played hard out there. Not just Hank. But for the most part, they didn’t give a shit. But they want to go to the NFL. Well, guess what, man? NFL scouts are watching every single game and going to them in person, too. I'm watching this on Jan. 2 with the satisfaction that Bama lost to Michigan. But who cares? Blew a chance to ruin their season. The culture at Auburn needs to be job one. I sure do hope this losing mentality moves it's way through it's current eligibility. Hank Brown represents the future with his attitude. To the guys who don't FEEL like it, I hope every one of them has a guy behind them on the depth chart with his attitude. I hope, I HOPE this staff puts THAT guy on the field in 2024. Spring ball is coming soon. Those guys know it's coming, too.
Dustin, you're right. I don't really pay attention to the NFL because of the passion. But from the emergence of the opt-out, I've become more and more discouraged with college football. Auburn now has ANOTHER bowl loss. ANOTHER losing season. Culture is THE problem. I'm hoping that with 2024 a whole lot of thar loser culture graduates it's eligibility ass on through. 6-4 with 3 games to come out with a winning season. And I CAN NOT believe Hugh Freeze blew off the bowl game like he did! He had a 6-2 bowl record going into the Maryland game! Well, it's 6-3 now Hugh! Isn't it! Blake, excellent talk about Bo man. Good points about FSU and the opt out crap. They got screwed. But what if they all played and beat Georgia? I wish the last Auburn team meeting for the season had nothing on the agenda but this video gentlemen.
The defense gave us a chance to come back and win this game. They only gave up 24 points! If our offense can’t come up with 25 points in a game we’re not gonna win any games 🏈🦅
We need serious help in the secondary, Scott ain’t the answer at corner, he needs to be at safety. He doesn’t have the speed to play corner. Dude got lit up at corner
PT isn't the only problem. This is true. You can see the offense doesn't want to play with or for him. That is a culture problem. However, even if they turn it around, I am worried that the same result will be there in the end next year. PT doesn't see the field well or move through progression fast enough. Then when he does finally decide to throw the ball, it is often late and a difficult catch. I don't know what Hank Brown will prove to be in the future, but he was a litmus test. He threw the ball on time and accurately, and the receivers who had been invisible all game suddenly appeared. Still that performance and lack of desire and effort was pathetic. CHF needs to do a serious evaluation of every player and coach. Harsh world, but those that aren't putting in the work need to hit the bricks. You just can't let whatever rot is still in that locker room destroy these rest including the talented incoming freshmen.
A lot of players lost out this year because someone decided recruiting is more important than trying to put a winning product on the field. I can’t say this was the exact thought process, but if it walks, quacks and looks like a duck….??? Fans buy tickets to see the best possible product on the field every season and only expect one guarantee….maximum effort at all times from players and coaches. This is not what the AU fanbase received for yet another season. Fans are not completely ignorant gents. Yes, you must gear up for the next season and recruit to close the talent gap; however, you still go to battle with the players you have at any given time. Coaching includes recruiting and development. As much as I love CHF, he’ll get no sympathy from me just like I/we don’t get a refund for this poor a$$ season. WDE!! Get this house in order CHF!! We still believe!!
If it was a pink slip game we haven't seen one yet. It's Jan. 2. The game was Dec. 30. Ok, Hugh. You didn’t ruin his New Year. You trusted Phil with your offense while you recruited. It didn’t work. Get a new OC OR you take the offense Hugh, and still get rid of Phil. No, it's not just Payton. We STILL have receivers that don't give a crap. Congratulations guys. See how that film helps you with the NFL. 😂
My whole thing with players not having effort is that did the coaching staff not address it as soon as the portal opened? What happened to those “hard conversations” the staff supposedly had with the players.
I agree with every word, Blake. This was possibly the most disappointing game of the entire season. I was completely convinced that Auburn would be fired up, ready to play, and wanted to win this game. I thought this would be the redeeming game of a disappointing season. Instead, it just made it worse. I'm at a point now where I don't want to talk about football, I don't want to watch football, and I don't want to hear about football. I'm seriously considering checking out until the first game of next season. It's just too damn painful. The perennial disappointment is not worth it. Life is too short to put myself through this. I'll continue to be an Auburn fan. That's who I am, but I'm not investing my time and money into this shit until I start getting some kind of return for my effort. I'm done with this for at least the next 8 months. I hope I'll be surprised when I come back. Good night and good luck. WDE!
War Eagle to you, man. Taking a break from Auburn football is going to be the most mentally healthy thing a lot of Auburn fans can do. See you in August dude.
How are gonna blame these kids for making these business decisions for their future when the people at the top have created this madness. Don't get me wrong in my era this wouldn't have happened and there was more loyalty for your teammates and team. However, the powers that be have turned something that was innocent and pure into a cold business. If one of these kids blows out a knee in the Frankie pack o donuts hop-scotch bowl and never plays again when they were a guaranteed 1st round pick in the NFL, are you or the fans gonna help him support his family...No, so to over simplify a complex situation because your team lost in a bowl game is a little short sighted. The answer is fixing the system by not opening the portal until after the bowls and making it more costly to hop from team to team by having to sit out a year like we used to have to do. We also don't need so many bowls but like with any business its about the money sadly. Its ok for the fat cats to make money hand over fist, who btw show no loyalty to these athletes, but when the kids do it suddenly they're horrible human beings...Its hypocrisy, the whole system should be held accountable not just the kids.
This roster is bad, you have to realize how we have 1 player from the 21 class on this roster, every starter in this game was ranked 3 star or lower, what did we expect? I know we expected more but realistically this team overachieved from a talent standpoint. We’re looking at 2025 to be competitive.
This team was 6-4 with New Mexico st and Maryland in their last 2/3 games and finished 6-7. Shouldn’t happen. We can’t use the “talent gap” with NMSU and Maryland
Doesn’t change the fact. What Auburn means to us, isn’t the same to them. When you’re missing an entire recruiting class, means that 20+ guys that potentially understand this program and big tim rivalry games, you fill that with what’s available in year 1. It didn’t work, this year will be more productive .
I know you said you were tired of the get a portal QB talk, Blake. But it’s louder than ever now. Thorne has shown nothing to say he is the guy or that he can improve. He has steadily declined since his sophomore year.
Love the passion you guys bring to the show!
Brutally honest! Love it! Thanks, guys!
We always will be!!
Yall do a great job love the passion

Kirby says we play to win no matter what game! Freeze says I don’t grind on them for bowl games! Big difference!
There sure is.
To hell with Kirby smart and the bulldogs
@@stephenallen1237 didn’t say I was a fan, I am an AU fan but if you don’t see the difference between the direction of UGA & AU you are blind
@@gwheat63 I see the talent gap swap Kirby and Hugh freeze at the beginning of the season you'll have the same results
I wish i could like this video 100times
ANYONE besides me amazed that CHF didn;t help on gameplanning? We hired him to win games! Gameplanning is part of winning games!!
Freezer is full of excuses. Kinda like losers are. I hope it's just a coincidence.

We need to give Cal that work after that uninspiring performance this year out there

It felt like the New Mexico State game is what it felt like. The Culture has to change man.
Kentucky vs Clemson was the only Bowl game I watched where both teams really wanted to win.
This is a fact
Dustin telling it like it is! Preach brother!
“What’d you do to them noodles bro?” 😂
These receivers have quit on Thorne. Looks like the O-line might have also.
