  • Some banjo gold here.
Hearing this tune played by Earl Scruggs & Lester Flatt first inspired me to learn banjo. What an incredible sound - clear, crisp, syncopated, driving: "How do you do that ?"
Hope y'all enjoy our rendition, recorded during Covid lockdown.
    Banjo Baz - banjo, production
Mark Wardle - vocals, guitar, bass

I grew up watching The Beverly Hillbillies, one of my favorite shows! Loved the music I grew up on!

I hope someone can help me with the following question: What kind of car are they driving in the opening scenes?

I believe it's a truck. I don't know what kind it is but I believe it's on display at the Stone Mountain Park here in Georgia. That may narrow it down for you.

@@southernguy35 The truck is based on a 1921 Oldsmobile Model 43-A touring car. The Model 43-A was powered by a 43-horsepower 4-cylinder engine and rode on a 115-inch wheelbase. The $1,445 touring car was considered medium priced when it was new. Even though Jethro wasn’t too bright, he must have been a good mechanic to have driven a 40-year-old truck from the Ozark Mountains to California and then keep the Olds running for nine seasons in Beverly Hills. (copied from a Yahoo answer about the truck. There was more about it being customized by car wiz George Barris)
