I have a Classic III and my setup is totally different. I wish I could find a video on how to set everything up. But great video! Love BW Parts!

great video...any chance you can do a video setting/ adjusting a Marvel Schebler carb?

Thanks! Great idea. We will definitely do one with a Marvel Schebler. Unfortunately we won’t be able to get to it for a couple weeks.

Will this “mixture screw setting” still work with the R57 style? And maybe a little info on how that R57 works.? Mine 71” runs high idle all the time. Only goes down with I’m welding.

Why the teflon tap on the treads? Dose the brass not seal it off? I dont get any leaks on connections. And the gasoline eats that right up any how?
Keep making videos of you working on these. Enjoy them alot!

The Teflon tape definitely helps to seal the threads. Pipe thread is tapered so it is made to seal but the tape helps. The gasoline unfortunately doesn’t eat the Teflon so if your not careful, like we are in the video, the tape can cause issues. We have customers call us all the time complaining of flooding. More often than not it’s Teflon tape stuck in between needle and seat.

@BW Parts - Were you just adjusting the Idle Screw from the Stop Pin to adjust the 30 - 35 OCV's at the end of the video? I was unable to tell since the video did not really show that part.

Randy what screws were you adjusting when you were doing the lean drop on the carb?
I’m wondering what the RPMs are for the mid and high idle for the sa200.
    Please and thanks

It's a zenith carb.not the original so it's the larger screw on the right side of the carb.

Can test leads be connected to the auxiliary outlet for checking ocv's?

We check the OCV’s at the positive and negative lugs, usually located on the front of the machine, occasionally on the side. You’d just be checking the output voltage at the auxiliary outlet. Hopes this helps!
