- Young Thug’s attorney Brian Steel argued with Judge Ural Glanville about addressing him inappropriately on several occasions in front of the jury. The argument comes after Glanville stated that he believes Steel was "unprepared." Atlanta rapper Young Thug, born Jeffery Williams, faces multiple charges under Georgia's RICO Act. Williams, believed to be the leader of the YSL collective, supposedly operated a "criminal street gang" from outside his residence. Williams faces eight charges in a 65-count indictment. These charges include drug possession, possession with intent to distribute, and participating in criminal gang activity as an individual employed by a criminal street gang.

Throws tantrum? Who wrote this caption? As a long time subscriber and viewer this is extremely disingenuous and wrong. Brian Steel had every right to be upset. Every right to address this issue and is absolutely not “throwing a fit.” The judge had no right to prejudice the jury by making comments about a defendant’s attorney. Judge Glanville has done this more than once and it is unacceptable.

This Judge starts court at 1:00pm all the time. Ends the day after 2 hours of court and 2 hours of breaks and he has the audacity to claim Mr. Steele is unprepared? This guy is a joke. What a loser.

When Steel was first questioning Bean about the potential hospital statement Ms Love was basically screaming out “Your Honor” instead of making an objection. The judge didn’t yell at her for it he just simply asked what is the objection.

A tantrum??? This title needs to be corrected. This lawyer was respectful and honest about the treatment of this court.
1) State tries to put in 2 calls
2) Steele objects to calls.
3) Judges says we will take up these calls and objections when the time comes
4) State is ready to play calls and add another call
5) Steele objects again as his first objection was never addressed
6) Judge calls Steele unprepared in front of Jury and accuses him of purposely delaying the trial.
The only person unprepared in this case is the Judge. Pushing back arguments and objections is only affective if you actually prepare a later time to take up the issue. On top of that, not once has he been upset with the prosecution for bringing in evidence late. I'm no lawyer but I am aware that new evidence will come in from the prosecution as the trial continues but man does it seem like they are reaching to paint the picture of Williams being involved in this act. Where is the concrete evidence? This is supposed to be an act that furthers the conspiracy of a gang?
Dont even get me started with the fact that the state tried to hide or was "unaware" that Bean went to the hospital and accused Steele of not being honest.
To sum it up, I have not heard or seen any undeniable evidence yet that shows Williams funneling money to a gang, directing any gang members to commit crimes or personally harming anyone in this RICO.
This looks really bad so far.

How are we defining “frivolous” and “arbitrary items” here? Prosecutor rambles on for an extended period of time, but the defense gets interrupted before finishing one sentence. Mr. Steele was barely able to get his motion on record. The attitudes towards the defense are practically tainting the jury. Like come on dude. It’s all a circus at this point.
This whole thing is frustrated by grandiose attitudes. It’s just a job and entertainment for everyone else, but those men’s lives are on the line. That reality gets lost in the sauce way too often. Not cool.

You said exactly what I’m thinking. It’s beyond frustrating to watch at this point and unreal this is reality. The jury doesn’t see any of this and that’s what scares me if the trial continues on this way. Judge needs recused. It’s a mockery of the so called honorable court and legal system. Even if guilty, this is in no way a fair trial. Defense can’t speak more than a few sentences before being interrupted.
I should add the entire 3 months the defense has not been able to speak more than a few sentences before being interrupted by either the prosecution or judge.

The judge should address any issues of unpreparedness privately with the lawyer. The judge's unprofessional behavior and could undermine the lawyer's credibility and ability to effectively represent their client. It is important for judges to maintain a level of respect and professionalism in the courtroom at all times. Sadly he appears to be failing the system.
Worst judge in America. Goes on a rant screaming at a lawyer in front of the jury (clearly grounds for a mistrial) about being unprofessional and wasting the jury's time - when HE starts court AT LEAST an hour late every day, issues 10 min breaks that wind up being 45 min, takes two hour lunch's, and has countless "administrative" days where there is no court. He clearly has no appreciation for the jury's time by his own conduct. BUT the citizens of Fulton County have no one but themselves to blame, apparently they have been re-electing this guy for 20 years................................

Jurors take their ques from the Judge and Judge Glanville has definitely belittled and insulted Mr. Steele numerous times, in front of the jury. This is called misconduct and this case could be dismissed & thrown out on that alone. He definitely, doesn't reprimand the State, anywhere close to same as Steele. The jurors may have already judged Jeffrey, based on the Judges conduct, towards Mr. Steele.
