Ha ha,, that Egoiste ad takes me back! I've worn Egoiste Platinum since 1994 when I met my wife - love it. On your recommendation, I've added Terre D'Hermes and I'm getting addicted - over time I'm noticing the nuances and changing vibes. For me it's great whether in town or country as it doesn't clash with nature, but still smells chic on the street! Tres cool vid BTW - real personality and wit!

Hi Clémence. This video is really funny. Great work. I have recently been very impressed with some Estée Lauder fragrances. Azurée in particular is an intoxicating spicy leather perfume for women. I first read Tania Sanchez's review of it in Perfumes: The A-Z Guide (2008). It's sort of like if Knize Ten were toned way, way down. I'm wearing it today, and it smells cozy and stimulating at the same time. Great! Bye bye now!

Surprised Guerlain and Dior were so low in your list. Thanks for highlighting Tom Ford Beau de Jour once again. My favorite barbershop Fougere fragrance ever. And Chanel Egoiste smells like an ashtray to me. Don't like it. I haven't explored Chanel's top tier Exclusif line or whatever it's called yet. But otherwise the only masculine Chanel's I like are Pour Monsieur and Bleu de Chanel.

Terre d’Hermes and Narciso Rodriguez bleu noir are similar and I love them both. bleu noir is stronger and sharper. I just love Vervier. Valentino uomo has been a favorite since the first release.

Oh it's definitely Chanel and Guerlain for me, I can't choose between them. My favourite Chanel is No 5 Eau de Toilette and Les Exclusifs 1957 tied. Guerlain, also a tie 🤭 Shalimar Souffle Intense and L'Heure Bleue edt 💞💞💞

Mes meilleurs "designers brand" selon moi🤔... Mugler (avec l'indetronable Alien bien sûr et le Alien essence absolue qui malheureusement est discontinué), Chanel également (pour moi c'est juste La meilleure maison de parfum). J'aime tous les chanels, mais mes préférés sont Allure edp (c'est à mes yeux le parfum le plus féminin, classe, sophistiqué pour une femme), et pour homme Egoiste Platinium. Egoiste platinium c'est The parfum masculin, charismatique, de caractère par excellence.. le best à mes yeux.. Narcisso Rodriguez aussi avec le For Her qui est une merveille de classe et d'elegance... et Elie Saab avec le girl of now, qui je trouve est une gourmandise orientale ultra sexy, ce parfum est une bombe atomique selon moi ❤

My favourite YSL by far is 37 rue de bellechasse. It might just be my favourite fragrance in general! Do you know it?

I really used to like the brand Tom Ford back in the day but with the releases from the past 2 to 3 years, they are really lacking in what made the Private Blend famous. They really should have sticked to creating bold and controversial fragrances instead of producing mediocre frangrances with controversial names (F Fabulous and Lost cherry were the only good ones).
However, within the past year, the fragrances from Louis Vuitton have really caught my attention. Especially the oriental ones and the Mens line. Yes, at first they might seem a little expensive, but I'm rushing through my bottles because they are so easy to wear and have great longevity. Overall (and focussing more on the Exclusives) this would be my top 5:
1. Dior (2020 wasn't their best year but Tobacolor and Vanilla Diorama from 2021 are great)
2. Louis Vuitton (might go to the top in the future)
3. Chanel (because most of them are on the feminine side, but I'm really growing to like 1957, Sycomore and Le Lion)
4. Armani Prive (have some hidden gems noone really speaks about e.g. Oud Royal)
5. Tom Ford (it has gone downhill after the release of Lost Cherry)

I agree about many of these brands. Have you had much experience with Costume National? I guess it’s technically designer, but not really in the same category as these other really big names. I’ve been obsessed with their fragrances for a while, such as Scent Intense, 21, Homme. Thoughts?

@@clemenceccfragrance don’t be afraid!! I consider them to be niche designer because it’s technically designer but it’s from a small Italian designer company and their fragrances are more niche style than you’d normally see from designer houses. Highly recommend!

Égoïste pour homme, une merveille que je reporte les jours de grand froids et en soirée, Drakkar noir à l'époque c'était considéré un peu plouc, je l'ai redécouvert et acheté en générique, c'était pas si mal que ça, il a survécu et se vend toujours et mnt , en prenant de la bouteille, je l'apprécie. 😀😅

Mmm...We are the same in a few, I love Dior L'Homme Intense and YSL La unit de L'homme, I also reach for "Libre" YSL and Caleche for everyday wear and I like Number 5...but I don't get "Coco Noir" (I 'd love to love it, but I just don't), I'm also not a fan of most YSL fragrances, and I really really don't like Valentino at all... My Chanel to go to is also always and forever more Cristalle, it's green, non chalante, doesn't care, androgynous, daring, supremely elegant...and the other designer fragrances that I love are the polarising Paco Rabanne, not the classiest, but they are all really good, well balanced and they stay on forever more, when Olympea came about nobody had put vanilla and salt together, it was ground breaking, and the old fashioned one, Eau de Metal, it's glorious.
I sampled Narciso Rodriguez For Him because you recommended it. Not impressed. I BOUGHT Matiere Premiere Neroli Oranger because you recommended it and it is now my favorite of my 200 bottles. As well as the only thing I have ever paid retail for and the most expensive thing I have ever bought.

Er ... Tom Ford above Guerlain and Hermes? This is sacrilege! You will never be allowed back into France after saying that in public! Guerlain, Chanel and Hermes are the holy trinity of perfume. Give me Habit Rouge, Eau de Fleurs de Cedrat, Herba Fresca, Homme L'Eau from Guerlain; Rocabar, Terre d'hermes and Jardin Sur Le Nil from Hermes; Allure Homme and the Edition Blanche from Chanel any day. And Beige from Chanel - that's superb and it never gets the love it deserves. As for Burberry, you might like London because you live in it but I prefer Touch and I can't justify it in the same way or I'll get arrested! I'll have to take the Floris time machine and go back to 1962 to hide!

Clémence Clémence… mais comment peux tu parler de Chanel sans parler du numéro 19 hein? Non mais… spécialement vu ce qu’ils ont fait au numéro 5 à force de reformulations, c’était mon parfum et je ne le reconnais plus du tout… pffff poubelle… le 19 l’a remplacé…
Ah je sais pas moi j’aime toujours autant le numéro 5, le parfum n’as jamais changé !
