Especially the Peugeot was a monster of a car in 97 and 98. I also miss those small airfield tracks like Lahr, Zweibrücken and Wunstdorf. Much more interesting driving there instead of Russia...
The German Peugeot had proper double wishbone front suspension that the British ones didn't - because it shouldn't have been allowed. Peugeot Sport didn't want to give too much away with the engine either to MSD who were running the BTCC team, as they were competitors in WRC, so not much collaboration that really hamstrung the MSD effort, a shame really.
What great action. Thanks for uploading all this.
9:41 to any Opel fans, this was a touching scene...
Awesome championship, awesome racing!!
I want to play TOCA 2 Touring Cars again😍😍
Lots of support for Cecotto from other BMWs. Not quite the same for Peugeot and Aiello, he was the quicker driver. Amazing champiosnhip regardless!
Thanks for share!
Awesome stuff. How can the Vectra and 406 be so good in Germany but so bad in UK in 98?

Cecotto Grande Campione
クルムさんは本国ドイツでも日産だったんですね(^^)
si did opel win the manufacturer's championship?
Yes ;)
No they weren't, the deciding factor was Aiello's engines blowing...
