    Lots of support for Cecotto from other BMWs. Not quite the same for Peugeot and Aiello, he was the quicker driver. Amazing champiosnhip regardless!

    Awesome stuff. How can the Vectra and 406 be so good in Germany but so bad in UK in 98?

      Especially the Peugeot was a monster of a car in 97 and 98. I also miss those small airfield tracks like Lahr, Zweibrücken and Wunstdorf. Much more interesting driving there instead of Russia...

      The German Peugeot had proper double wishbone front suspension that the British ones didn't - because it shouldn't have been allowed. Peugeot Sport didn't want to give too much away with the engine either to MSD who were running the BTCC team, as they were competitors in WRC, so not much collaboration that really hamstrung the MSD effort, a shame really.

    No they weren't, the deciding factor was Aiello's engines blowing...
