Thanks for trying. Gopro shut them down intentionally to comply with the FAA new rules. All drones now require remote ID and Gopros hardware was not capable and no longer supported
this is a common speculation and could definitely be the case. but, wouldnt this be illegal? company cant just destroy all its products without notice. if this is true then GoPro would at the very least have to provide a public statement that they are doing this. Also, it seems its not every drone that this happened to, so how come some of them are still flying?
They should just release the firmware as open source to the customer base and see if a fix can be made. They would no longer be responsible for following the guidelines, and a solution could possibly be found. Win/Win

After hunting around for solutions in vain, and getting frustrated, of course, and upset that I'm going to have to bin something solid that really should work, I'm going to take your advice and simply let it go : drone and stress all in one go. And I'm ordering a Mini Pro 3 from DJI and will never buy anything from GoPro again.

Now, I have a GO pro replacement I received about 8 months ago, I am literally scared to open it and try it out because I don't want to be disappointed. Since seeing your video I will try it. You are right about your philosophy; however you leading the way, helped 2400 people to sign the petition. Take those 2400 names and go get a free lawyer consultation to see if we have a case to file class action suit. Me personally receive 2 new replacement drones and this 1 have now is my third. I had me controller replace and stabilizer gimbal replace with Go pro subscription. Yes it is frustration when dealing with Go Pro. So I definitely feel you when you say, you want to move on. I believe we are right at the break through point. So please keep the petition alive. I will do all three request.
I appreciate all the effort you gave to us misfit karma drone owners. I'd like to opt in to take over your old drone, throw my hat in the ring. I picked mine up to make content for car shows and track days, I only got to fly mine twice to practice with it, and on the big day of the first event, it wouldn't fly 😭, and that led me to you and your videos. "Energy goes where attention flows", a nice quote but I find its interpretation variable. That is to say, this injustice is giving me rageful energy to switch my effort to retribution on this matter. I am brainstorming ways to bring this to the attention of the masses. From field trips to GoPro's headquarters armed with their competitor's products, in an attempt to produce compelling content that shows their corporate greed in action. To visits of Nick Woodman's (CEO and founder) multi-million dollar properties, protesting and investigating their criminal actions. A simple wiki search shows immoral tax evasion through the creation of "Foundations" hailed as philanthropy. It's sickening! and in this post-pandemic, pre-recession time, we need people to stand up and declare "this is not right". I would appreciate your currently working drone as it could prove to be a great test unit for ensuring the only current valid solution to this mess, the fix offered by French company Valor Conseil Calvados, is not another scam to steal more money from Karma owners. Thank You Gavin for who you are. I have been trying to pair my Karma since about a week after I bought it about 4 -5 years ago. Regardless, if your Karma is still up for grabs, I sure could use it. I have had every type of drone. I have a DJI Mavic that was attacked by a falcon. I’d be happy to let you take it , just needs the harness connected to the camera. Gavin I applaud you commitment to giving some much needed leadership to this issue. You certainly helped me (I was one of the lucky ones who spent EUR45 and got a new core and got my Drone back in the air). Without your guidance, I would have been one of those angry ones. Thanks for keeping up with this for so long!!!! Mine quit working last year and took it out last week and tried it again and all of a sudden it worked not a single problem they it around the lake and no issues!!! Then yesterday on the 4th my daughter wanted to learn to fly it so i got it set up and bam will not pair any longer!!!! If you happen to still have your would love to get my hand on it to teach my daughter how to fly it, befor going out and buying her one!
Crazy how I remembered joining this discussion 2 years ago, and it still hasn't been addressed. Since then I ended up selling all my GoPro gear (Karma, Hero 7's, Hero 10, accessories) for a few hundred bucks and moved in the Dji ecosystem.
I have just faced this same kind of problem a week back. Talked to their customer service and they made a file against my complain and they supposed to come back with some solutions as they promised. But I would love to have a functioning drone if you still have it. Thanks for the fight from your side. It’s appreciating.
They’ve been supposed to get back to me for about 2 years now…I keep calling in and they keep giving me the same response.. I keep trying because I got to use it twice since I bought it for Christmas 2018…each time for about 15 minutes or so since we were still newbies and afraid of crashing it

Great video Gavin and hope you are well. I own 2, yes 2 of the Karmas with about 1/2-hour flight time each. Both grounded. Philosophically I am not ANGRY I have 2 paperweights; I am HAPPY to have 2 bookends!

Thanks for all the videos and trying help. My drones been grounded for years. I'm about to give up on gopro completely (already been looking at some dji's but I need to save some money for one). I hate to let them go without "justice" but there's no point to fighting if they never listen.

Getting ready to take my karma to the lake tomorrow and realized that it was bricked…I’m extremely frustrated and find it unbelievable a company like GoPro would do this and respond this way in essence completely destroying their reputation. I loved my Karma but you’re right about moving on I’m now done with GoPro.
Would love to fly a Karma again. Mine was bricked a couple months after purchase and then spent several more months jumping through GOPRO hoops with now resolution.
Maybe not the outcome you wanted but you made a difference. I’ve since moved on from all GoPro products, happy with my DJI drone. If anyone else is interested, I can donate 3 karma batteries to a lucky soul with a functioning karma.
Pulled my Karma out from about 6 months of storage & I’m fully aware of what is going on & I have the same problem Karma will not Pair 😔 I took care of my drone and never had issues before ! My mistake was doing the update right before storing it 🤦🏻♂️ My biggest mistake
came across a karma drone in an old storage bin…complete in the case and everything. i charged up the remote and the batteries and dug up my hero 5 camera from my closet to try it out…anyways it worked perfectly these last few days…but last night before i went to bed i updated the software on my gopro hero 5 thru the quik app on my iphone. today when i got home from work and got everything ready for another flight, i ran into this problem, i went at it for hours and finally gave up….i wonder if that camera update had anything to do with it
to all those having this issue , do you know what versions of Firmware your Karma , Gimbal and remote are at ? I did take mine out of storage after a lay up of about 2 years , firmware checks said they were all up to date , took it out for a couple of flights without issue , question is should I now turn off all Wifi internet access to Karma , would that mean Gopro could not brick my Karma by the back door ?
How did you go turning off wifi? I have 4 I use for work. The oldest hadn’t been updated and are still flying. I’ve had the wifi turned off for year. I brought two used drones that were newer and had been updated and they both bricked.
Gavin, thanks for your efforts! I’ve got a bunch of cameras that still work but won’t be buying anymore. I would love to have a functioning drone. If you choose me it will go to good use here on my homestead. Looking out for my chickens, goats and pigs and keeping the fox and coyotes away!
This situation still sucks I bought my Karma in 2017 when they just launched and paid over $1200 for it, mine had less than 10 flights on it when I was deployed for work and once I returned home a few years later it did the software update and after that like everyone else my controller would not connect. I was already a gopro pro subscriber and I registered my Karma to try and resolve the issue. After about 7 months of dragging on they emailed me and told me that they discontinued the Karma and they will not offer any further support. This really sucked for me as I was a loyal customer of gopro since 2012 and own multiple gopro kameras 3,4 ,6,7 and 8. I will never buy another gopro product and left them a Google review as well. I will definitely leave the BBB review to get word out about this company.
I would love to have a functioning drone. I bought the Karma for my husband for Christmas 2018… we got to fly it two times before it was grounded. I have called and spoken with reps several times, each time they look up the problem, see the previous conversations and tell me they will escalate it and get back to me with a resolution…several months down the line I do it again… nobody has ever gotten back to me.. now I’m getting ready to take a trip with my parents to Alaska and it would be nice to have a drone I could get some killer footage with while we’re out there
Thanks, Gavin. I have found a way to get them flying again using your old video combined with Donovan Lawson and bozmanx videos. I will be posting a video shortly showing how I got my drone flying again. Ive also been able to get many others flying as well. I will post it within a week. Good luck!
This is quite a saga. My controller just died so I'm trying to figure out if it's the board electronics or the battery. It does not power on and charging it just makes the lights flash for a moment constantly. I was thinking of getting a new remote off of E-Bay but now idk if I would even be able to use any of those :/ Hopefully I can just get mine working!
I'm holder of Karma Drone and i have problem with pairing too. I paid a lot, like everyone else for this drone and now nothing...... does not working i dont know why. Any idea how can i fix it ? I ask someone and he told there is a problem with the GPS that why cant fly again my drone, i dont know if its right. Thank you.

G'Day Gavin. In Australia we have a Consumer Protection Law. Its says Products must be of good quality and must be durable. My Two Karma Drones wont connect. I am going to pursue the Australian seller. Through the A.C.C.C. I have flown less than 1 hour. As someone one said.."Er Houston we have a problem". If your in Australia and you have the same issue its worth following this up. No More GoPro products for me EVER!
Hi Peter how did you go with the ACCC? It sucks because the FAA regulations don’t apply here. I have 4 I use for work. The two oldest I bought new and never updated them, both are still flying. Then I bought two secondhand that had hard,y been used. They had been updated and both bricked. I have no recall but hopefully you got some scarification from ACCC.
@@liamgross7217 G'Day Liam, I made a complaint to the BBB in the U.S. the ACCC wont look at them because they are an overseas company. I did notice a repairer advertising on EBay but when I followed through it did not seem legit. they wanted me to send the drone to a private address in France. with some sort of story about not sending it directly to the factory. I smelled a Rat and decided not to go ahead with it. The only thing that might work is a class action with owners against GoPro making a claim for damages and loss. I have three drones. One for parts. and two that will never work again. with over two years of Covid lockdowns here I had no opportunity to use them, or even think about using them and updating software and the like. @@Pappazeko thanks for getting back to me Peter, I actually had a long back and forward on FB with the French connection yesterday, but I agree something seems amiss with them. that or their customer service is about the same as go pro. It was a long discussion and a few things didn’t add up to me considering my early karmas are still working. They supposedly have an Australian agent but when I asked for his details they stopped communicating and a few hours later their posts were deleted….. Now I’ll just use the two bricks for parts if I need any. If and when the early two fail I’ll probably go DJI. I don’t think I’ll be spending with Gopro in the future. Cheers.

The video is better that the Karma ever was. But it still rankles me that GoPro stuffed up my device without even telling me about it. I am Guesing I might sell the Karmas for parts. @@Pappazeko I’ve been thinking about going to Mini Pro 3 as well. I’m glad the images are good, that was the area that concerned me. There are posts from people who say they have used the French company and are happy because they offer a cost effective quick fix by replacing a chip but there are also some posts saying it ended up costing $300 US because of some hardware issues on top of the software. I think mine seems like hardware issues, I can’t even get to the pairing stage with them. But after yesterday I’m not sending mine off. There may be a flood of parts on marketplace soon 🙂. While I’ve got two working I’ll keep carting both around on jobs and hope the dont decide to crash on the same day. Be well 👍
Hi. The pairing problem in GoPro Karma is solved. The problem is a faulty chip. Flash memory. It needs to be re-soldered. And the drone will fly again. That's how I got my GoPro Karma fixed. Now it can pair and fly again. A good electronics technician can fix this problem.

My Karma no longer works. You said your Karma no longer worked but now it does. Just how did you get yours working again because you didn't mention that??
Hi, the problem is a corrupt boot-loader in the NAND flash chip. There is a good instruction video how to fix the pairing issue. by letting the Karma drone startup - via special procedure - from a microSD card (which contains original flash content with version 2.50.1 firmware). When the drone boots fully, there is an instruction how to repair the NAND flash boot-loader. Be careful to just -gently- scrape off the very tiny SMD resistor connection, so the lacquer is removed so you will see shiny silver/metal. It is soo small. Use a good light above the drone mainboard you are working on, with magnify 3x. Use a very fine solder tip, and a clean solder sponge. Don't keep the solder tip too long on the board where you need to solder. A recplacement of the NAND memory chip is not necesarry. The boot-loader is corrupt, that is just a software issue, which you can repair. I have soldered a microSD memory slot on the 8 solder pins on the right arm-board (locates just on the right side, under the mainboard, if gimbal is facing forward. Wriite original boot image for the Karma drone (firmware v 2.50.1) to a microSD card. Insert this into the SD slot and boot from this SD card. Procedure for all this you can find on RUclips. Look for video from "bozmanx". I did not use 1K resistor to my MicroSD card slot Vdd voltage pin. It needs 3.3V to work. Watch the Ground and Vdd connections so they are correct soldered ! Sometimes you need to use other microSD card, or from other brand. You can experience SD-card initialization problem once a while. So do not giveup! I have repaired/fixed 4 Karma drones in one week this way. All can fly now. 🙂 Many thanks to "bozmanx" and "serega" and maybe some others to find this solution to get the drone alive again !! But first you need to get the controller flashed to version 2.50.1 firmware, you really need this latest version if you want to fly. Then fix the drone per video instruction (or let someone with good fine solder skills do it for you). After boot-loader is repaired in the NAND flash chip, you will see the gimbal initialize on startup of the drone, Then you can pair again and enjoy flying !
Bought karma drone in 2017. Never used it. Trier two weeks ago for thé first time. As read... Could not login with the controller, saw thé version, wifi was ok, impossible to mâke the update. I wrote to go pro, they answered me back some days ago, can.t do anything... Except a 20% discount code for one of their products... LoL. Cannot login, cannot updade, and cannot update cause cannot login. Is there a way to manually install thé updates on thé controller ? Connected to pc ? 800€ trash 😘 thx go pro
It seems to me the only potential resolution (for me at least) is obtaining a Karma Controller with firmware/software Version 2.50.01 (NOT 2.50). If anyone has a Controller at 2.50.01, and has lost, crashed beyond repair or just wants to move on - PLEASE comment so we can get in contact. I WANT/NEED TO BUY A GOPRO KARMA CONTROLLER WITH SOFTWARE VERSION 2.50.01
Purchase go pro plus , tell tech support that you have GoPro plus and they will tell you to ship just the drone and they will fix your problem litterally just got mine back with no issues
This solution worked for me, but GoPro has given others a run around and do not consistently offer this to everyone. If you watch my other videos and read the comments you will see how many different stories there are about this and how many people have tried this but it has not worked. You are one of the lucky few - for most people even subscribing does not work and they are told they do not offer service for the Karma anymore. This is a big reason why this is such a problem - GoPro should offer a universal solution for everyone instead of picking and choosing who gets a replacement and who doesnt. I appreciate your comment though and glad to hear it worked for you!
I was able to successfully do this once my drone stopped working after that update..... my new drone flies fine and is working but now I have a new Autel Evo Lite + so I don't really fly my gopro anymore would like to get rid of it but selling is not really easy with all the negativity around it even though my drone works flawlessly. I know gopro screwed up with Karma and they got killed out of the drone game by DJI and I wish GoPro would say something in regards to this matter but it's hard to say that there action cameras are not good...... I havent bought any GoPro products since Karma but I dont know if I get into the market for another Action Cam if I would buy something other than a GoPro I never had any issues with the Action Cam itself only the Karma product itself....
GoPro is falling apart. We own way too many of their cameras and have been a loyal customer for years. Yet, their customer service continues to treat us like garbage. We are writing a video as well and will mention yours. GoPro needs to be held accountable for the way they treat us all.
You would need to join the program before telling them there is a problem, they told me it wasn’t an option because I had already informed them of the issue
I as well have put countless hours into getting this expensive gear working. Nothing. It is my belief that gopro is finished and living on borrowed time these days... The way of blackberry!
My 2 GoPro karma drones are grounded for several years now. What a waste of money 💰! Such a big company but no sense of social responsibility!!! Never will I support and buy products of GoPro!!! Never.....
Lost faith in GoPro. Not sure I will buy any more of their products. DJI has drones and action cameras. They support their products. GoPro got too big for their own good.
hey brother love the video I to have a karma drone with the same issues I got it from some guy on offer up and he said everything was working turns out that was a lie I would really like yours though if you still have it and are willing to give it away I ride dirt bike and been wanting to make some cool videos so its kinda sucks mines doesn't work but id really likes yours if possible

Could be true at fifty fifty, the responsibility alway lies with the pilot, not with the company who produce the drone…for the car it’s the same

I keep trying because I got to use it twice since I bought it for Christmas 2018…each time for about 15 minutes or so since we were still newbies and afraid of crashing it

Great video Gavin and hope you are well. I own 2, yes 2 of the Karmas with about 1/2-hour flight time each. Both grounded. Philosophically I am not ANGRY I have 2 paperweights; I am HAPPY to have 2 bookends!

Thanks for all the videos and trying help. My drones been grounded for years. I'm about to give up on gopro completely (already been looking at some dji's but I need to save some money for one). I hate to let them go without "justice" but there's no point to fighting if they never listen.

Getting ready to take my karma to the lake tomorrow and realized that it was bricked…I’m extremely frustrated and find it unbelievable a company like GoPro would do this and respond this way in essence completely destroying their reputation.

Would love to fly a Karma again. Mine was bricked a couple months after purchase and then spent several more months jumping through GOPRO hoops with now resolution.
Maybe not the outcome you wanted but you made a difference. I’ve since moved on from all GoPro products, happy with my DJI drone. If anyone else is interested, I can donate 3 karma batteries to a lucky soul with a functioning karma.

July 2022. Same Pairing Issue from Argentina, last month was my drone's last flight. No connection with controller
came across a karma drone in an old storage bin…complete in the case and everything. i charged up the remote and the batteries and dug up my hero 5 camera from my closet to try it out…anyways it worked perfectly these last few days…but last night before i went to bed i updated the software on my gopro hero 5 thru the quik app on my iphone. today when i got home from work and got everything ready for another flight, i ran into this problem, i went at it for hours and finally gave up….i wonder if that camera update had anything to do with it
to all those having this issue , do you know what versions of Firmware your Karma , Gimbal and remote are at ? I did take mine out of storage after a lay up of about 2 years , firmware checks said they were all up to date , took it out for a couple of flights without issue , question is should I now turn off all Wifi internet access to Karma , would that mean Gopro could not brick my Karma by the back door ?

How did you go turning off wifi? I have 4 I use for work. The oldest hadn’t been updated and are still flying. I’ve had the wifi turned off for year. I brought two used drones that were newer and had been updated and they both bricked.

This situation still sucks I bought my Karma in 2017 when they just launched and paid over $1200 for it, mine had less than 10 flights on it when I was deployed for work and once I returned home a few years later it did the software update and after that like everyone else my controller would not connect. I was already a gopro pro subscriber and I registered my Karma to try and resolve the issue. After about 7 months of dragging on they emailed me and told me that they discontinued the Karma and they will not offer any further support. This really sucked for me as I was a loyal customer of gopro since 2012 and own multiple gopro kameras 3,4 ,6,7 and 8. I will never buy another gopro product and left them a Google review as well. I will definitely leave the BBB review to get word out about this company.
I would love to have a functioning drone. I bought the Karma for my husband for Christmas 2018… we got to fly it two times before it was grounded. I have called and spoken with reps several times, each time they look up the problem, see the previous conversations and tell me they will escalate it and get back to me with a resolution…several months down the line I do it again… nobody has ever gotten back to me..
now I’m getting ready to take a trip with my parents to Alaska and it would be nice to have a drone I could get some killer footage with while we’re out there

This is quite a saga. My controller just died so I'm trying to figure out if it's the board electronics or the battery. It does not power on and charging it just makes the lights flash for a moment constantly. I was thinking of getting a new remote off of E-Bay but now idk if I would even be able to use any of those :/ Hopefully I can just get mine working!
Did you upgrade to the latest firmware on: 1. the controller, 2. the karma stabilizer, 3. the camera, 4. the drone?
I'm holder of Karma Drone and i have problem with pairing too. I paid a lot, like everyone else for this drone and now nothing...... does not working i dont know why. Any idea how can i fix it ? I ask someone and he told there is a problem with the GPS that why cant fly again my drone, i dont know if its right.

G'Day Gavin. In Australia we have a Consumer Protection Law. Its says Products must be of good quality and must be durable. My Two Karma Drones wont connect. I am going to pursue the Australian seller. Through the A.C.C.C. I have flown less than 1 hour. As someone one said.."Er Houston we have a problem". If your in Australia and you have the same issue its worth following this up. No More GoPro products for me EVER!

I have 4 I use for work. The two oldest I bought new and never updated them, both are still flying. Then I bought two secondhand that had hard,y been used. They had been updated and both bricked. I have no recall but hopefully you got some scarification from ACCC.
@@liamgross7217 G'Day Liam, I made a complaint to the BBB in the U.S. the ACCC wont look at them because they are an overseas company. I did notice a repairer advertising on EBay but when I followed through it did not seem legit. they wanted me to send the drone to a private address in France. with some sort of story about not sending it directly to the factory. I smelled a Rat and decided not to go ahead with it. The only thing that might work is a class action with owners against GoPro making a claim for damages and loss. I have three drones. One for parts. and two that will never work again. with over two years of Covid lockdowns here I had no opportunity to use them, or even think about using them and updating software and the like. @@Pappazeko thanks for getting back to me Peter, I actually had a long back and forward on FB with the French connection yesterday, but I agree something seems amiss with them. that or their customer service is about the same as go pro. It was a long discussion and a few things didn’t add up to me considering my early karmas are still working. They supposedly have an Australian agent but when I asked for his details they stopped communicating and a few hours later their posts were deleted….. Now I’ll just use the two bricks for parts if I need any. If and when the early two fail I’ll probably go DJI. I don’t think I’ll be spending with Gopro in the future. Cheers.
@@liamgross7217 Hi Again, Thats interesting. I bought a DJI Mini 3 Pro. It seems to do a good job. I have only been out a few times and am still a bit timid with it. I cant believe how quiet it is. The video is better that the Karma ever was. But it still rankles me that GoPro stuffed up my device without even telling me about it. I am Guesing I might sell the Karmas for parts. @@Pappazeko I’ve been thinking about going to Mini Pro 3 as well. I’m glad the images are good, that was the area that concerned me.
There are posts from people who say they have used the French company and are happy because they offer a cost effective quick fix by replacing a chip but there are also some posts saying it ended up costing $300 US because of some hardware issues on top of the software. I think mine seems like hardware issues, I can’t even get to the pairing stage with them.
But after yesterday I’m not sending mine off. There may be a flood of parts on marketplace soon 🙂. While I’ve got two working I’ll keep carting both around on jobs and hope the dont decide to crash on the same day. Be well 👍
Hi. The pairing problem in GoPro Karma is solved. The problem is a faulty chip. Flash memory. It needs to be re-soldered. And the drone will fly again. That's how I got my GoPro Karma fixed. Now it can pair and fly again. A good electronics technician can fix this problem.
If your drone is still flying, is there a way to prevent it from updating and being grounded? Mine is still working.
If you are ever asked to update anything, don't. Hopefully you can avoid the firmware update that breaks it. Good luck!!

Hi, the problem is a corrupt boot-loader in the NAND flash chip. There is a good instruction video how to fix the pairing issue. by letting the Karma drone startup - via special procedure - from a microSD card (which contains original flash content with version 2.50.1 firmware). When the drone boots fully, there is an instruction how to repair the NAND flash boot-loader.
Be careful to just -gently- scrape off the very tiny SMD resistor connection, so the lacquer is removed so you will see shiny silver/metal. It is soo small. Use a good light above the drone mainboard you are working on, with magnify 3x. Use a very fine solder tip, and a clean solder sponge. Don't keep the solder tip too long on the board where you need to solder. A recplacement of the NAND memory chip is not necesarry. The boot-loader is corrupt, that is just a software issue, which you can repair. I have soldered a microSD memory slot on the 8 solder pins on the right arm-board (locates just on the right side, under the mainboard, if gimbal is facing forward. Wriite original boot image for the Karma drone (firmware v 2.50.1) to a microSD card. Insert this into the SD slot and boot from this SD card.
Procedure for all this you can find on RUclips. Look for video from "bozmanx". I did not use 1K resistor to my MicroSD card slot Vdd voltage pin. It needs 3.3V to work. Watch the Ground and Vdd connections so they are correct soldered ! Sometimes you need to use other microSD card, or from other brand. You can experience SD-card initialization problem once a while. So do not giveup! I have repaired/fixed 4 Karma drones in one week this way. All can fly now. 🙂 Many thanks to "bozmanx" and "serega" and maybe some others to find this solution to get the drone alive again !!
But first you need to get the controller flashed to version 2.50.1 firmware, you really need this latest version if you want to fly. Then fix the drone per video instruction (or let someone with good fine solder skills do it for you). After boot-loader is repaired in the NAND flash chip, you will see the gimbal initialize on startup of the drone, Then you can pair again and enjoy flying !

Trier two weeks ago for thé first time.
As read... Could not login with the controller, saw thé version, wifi was ok, impossible to mâke the update.
I wrote to go pro, they answered me back some days ago, can.t do anything... Except a 20% discount code for one of their products... LoL.
Cannot login, cannot updade, and cannot update cause cannot login.
Is there a way to manually install thé updates on thé controller ? Connected to pc ?

It seems to me the only potential resolution (for me at least) is obtaining a Karma Controller with firmware/software Version 2.50.01 (NOT 2.50). If anyone has a Controller at 2.50.01, and has lost, crashed beyond repair or just wants to move on - PLEASE comment so we can get in contact.

Purchase go pro plus , tell tech support that you have GoPro plus and they will tell you to ship just the drone and they will fix your problem litterally just got mine back with no issues
This solution worked for me, but GoPro has given others a run around and do not consistently offer this to everyone. If you watch my other videos and read the comments you will see how many different stories there are about this and how many people have tried this but it has not worked. You are one of the lucky few - for most people even subscribing does not work and they are told they do not offer service for the Karma anymore. This is a big reason why this is such a problem - GoPro should offer a universal solution for everyone instead of picking and choosing who gets a replacement and who doesnt. I was able to successfully do this once my drone stopped working after that update..... my new drone flies fine and is working but now I have a new Autel Evo Lite + so I don't really fly my gopro anymore would like to get rid of it but selling is not really easy with all the negativity around it even though my drone works flawlessly. I know gopro screwed up with Karma and they got killed out of the drone game by DJI and I wish GoPro would say something in regards to this matter but it's hard to say that there action cameras are not good...... I havent bought any GoPro products since Karma but I dont know if I get into the market for another Action Cam if I would buy something other than a GoPro I never had any issues with the Action Cam itself only the Karma product itself....
GoPro is falling apart. We own way too many of their cameras and have been a loyal customer for years. Yet, their customer service continues to treat us like garbage. We are writing a video as well and will mention yours. GoPro needs to be held accountable for the way they treat us all.
