My dad directed that film, and my dog is in the scene with Alex Karras. My dad also is in the movie as the guy in the bar who tries to start a fight with Alan Alda.
Hey Mr. March. Your Dad was a good actor. I just watched that bar scene in 'Paper Lion'. I'm sure he preferred directing. You know that movie has some great music by Roger Kellaway in it, but no soundtrack was ever released. The only place I've found it is in the movie. I emailed Roger about 3 years ago and he was nice enough to write back. He said he may record it, but I haven't seen anything. He may not be interested now, being that he's 82. Thanks for sharing.
This is my favorite football movie of all time. So rare to get even a glimpse of their locker room back then. Especially like the film session. Even though they're watching the film of the Cardinals from like 1962 in the film was made in 1968
I wonder if Alan's neck hurt after that interview. Why does Rich need to sit so much higher than his guests? I've only seen one or two clips of his show and didn't notice it before. But it's very noticeable here. Reminds me of the movie 'It's a Wonderful Life' - when George meets with Mr. Potter in Potter's office.

I love that movie Paper Lion I've watched so many times and really enjoy it
I saw the movie,he looked like he never threw a football in his life.
Just looking at Alan Alda would make me crack up. He's funny without even speaking.
I remember a small part of his "Today" show interview when the movie came out.
Great film.
Watched Paper Lion for the first time today, good. But man I wanted a better scrip for his pre-season game at St Louis...boy that was uneventful.

“Mongo only pawn in game of life.”

God, he looks so feeble here..
He's 86 years old.
