I miss chorin’ with my gramps on the weekends. We’d feed the horses and shovel out the turds. But he always took me to a little diner in my hometown where him and half a dozen old timers would sit and solve the world’s problems. Or he’d harness a couple ponies and take a drive and we’d both be singing “oh my darlin clementine” at the top of our lungs. He had me fooled that the louder I’d sing, the faster the ponies would trot. Of course he was just tapping the reigns below my eyes. That farm and his way of life are all but gone now. My kids are growing up in the suburbs. Kinda pity them in a way.
In 100 years I hope this man is held in the same regard as Bethoven or Bach. What he is able to do with any musical instrument of choice is mind boggling. I've listened to this set dozens of times and every time it moves me. Everyone on stage is beyond talented. NEVER LOOSE THIS PASSION.

@@stevenpetrochko8225 I hear you, I think it's a reference to the Higher self and the promise lands through the Manifestation of our own reality. And the willingness to leave what no longer serves us behind. It's like an ode to "I am, That I am." But Billy's referring to Billy and his path to his higher self. That's atleast how I have internalized it. Great tune, phenomenal actually.
@@stevenpetrochko8225 I'd be lying if I said I wasn't weirded out by all the Masonry and Satanist temple of solomon shit. but hey, who am I to judge how someone sacrifices themselves to make a buck, yee ol monkey paw....
Agreed. Three years clean too, this music helps me everyday.✌️
I'm trying right now August just found Billy last night in the middle of a sleepless night of hell but I'm loving the music
Hear a little Tom Morello right there ❤love that 9:43
first time hearing this artist and instantly taken back to the Grateful Dead
He used to do amazing Dead covers, you can find them on youtube.
Jerry's a big fan of Billy's. He's just waiting patiently for Billy to make his way to heaven so they can jam for eternity.
Love the Turmoil Tease
Yea that got a lot of people😂
I'm not sure he did it on purpose.
The slightest Warf Rat hidin in there too!! Great show!!
Billy... Brother Every Single Time I Hear Your Music It Takes Me Back To The Late 80's Early 90's When I Was A 10 Year Old Boy And My Grandpa Would Come Pick Me Up On Saturday and Sunday Mornings Here In Beautiful South Kentucky and Drive Around Feeding and Doing Other Morning Farm Work Listening to BLUEGRASS MUSIC And After The Farm Work, He Would Take Me to the Little Country Store and Get Me A Little Snack Cake and An Orange Juice, Then We Would Sit Out Front of the Store and Listen to the Other Old Men Talk and Tell Stories. It's Some of My Greatest Memories because My Grandpa Passed Away When I Was 12 and Through Your Music, You Help Take Me Back To Relive Those Times That I Got To Spend With Him! And For You and Your Music, I Thank You Sir!!!
Why do you capitalize each word? I've seen others do this and can't figure out why. Just curious.

Big time ditto!!!
I thank the Lord above for Billy strings. The fiddle player in this band is truly amazing too
Can't wait for you guys to start dropping full live concert albums!!!!
You are aware of the Billy Strings Archive channel on You tube? Lots already for nothing...but I'll buy anything he releases, that's for sure!
Yes, the TouchTunes jukebox needs it especially.
I can’t believe we get to experience this pure magic!!! I him in South Lake Tahoe in October. It’s best concert I’ve been to in my 55 years on this planet. It was like a religious experience... Can’t wait to see him again this August in Berkeley!! Again, pure magic!
The Ryman Shows Were Really Good, my first trip to the Ryman

That's the main thing ! STAY ALIVE ! WE NEED DECADES OF THIS MUSIC YOUR MAKING !
🔥This is about as "Billy Strings" as it gets right here🔥
I’m 55 years old and thought bluegrass had come and gone. I can’t stand to listen to the new pop country, and most of the music nowadays has no 38:04 soul. Billy has revived bluegrass, and his and his bands talent is almost unmatched as I see it. So thankful for him and his band.
The last minute where he thanked the audience was more authentic than I’ve ever seen from a musician. We are so thankful for you and your band Billy. Hopefully I will be able to come see you one day live. Keep on truckin!
im 45 , grew up with Larry Keel , Acoustic Syndicate , David Via .
Thought this was gone but now my grandkids will hear Billy, Molly, Sierra, Wyatt, Mason , these kids are carrying it for us
Grateful AF ! 🐐✨

I heard some guy say Billy was a fast picker but played with no soul. I about lost it.😐
@@spencertherren6806
NO SOUL!!!!
I think the guy that said that was projecting. Billy plays with a lot of soul!
@@crocodilegrundee4514 Best live show's I've ever seen.
I just keep listening to it. Float down stream for like 40 minutes. Feels like Home, The Michigan Backwoods❤
August? Any relation to WAZZY?
If this is what Michigan back woods feels like
SIGN ME UP!!
When I listen & feel Billy play, I always feel he "Channels" from untapped Sources of some Universe, or perhaps even many, those far, far away. Some & only Musicians are able to hear and express a Language that is "other Worldly" if you get my drift.
I can't help listening to this marathon of good music every now and then.... Billy Strings and his band kept us as if hypnotized throughout 38 minutes non stop, which is wonderful... Many thanks to all...!!!
Best live show I've ever been to, never would have thought it would be a bluegrass band.
This is so beautiful. A huge thank you to Billy and the entire crew for this incredibly well-produced video. It will be on repeat for the balance of the year, and into the next! Happy Holidays everyone! And have a happy, healthy and safe New Year!
Give this man a fender telecaster and watch the world burn
Absolutely immense. Major thanks to Billy and the boys and all involved. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Billy (MFing) Failing jam out of Must Be Seven into Creek is the baddest fucking banjo I’ve heard in my entire life. I mean what the FUCK 🔥🤣
Their tour bus must be a Delorean that makes regular stops in San Francisco, 1967.
I am having a trippy realization that all I'm staring at is 25-30 or so strings being plucked and vibrated. One of those realizations that some kind of a God is out there, if those strings can create this.
They definitely are God's gift to us peasants and I, for one, cannot be more grateful! I also can't wait to see what's to come. BMFS!
Once in a lifetime musician, writer, with amazing musicians
This is a pretty good performance, the aliens watching us would like it .
Seeing Billy Strings live just became my #1 on my bucket goal list, god damn! Much love from Sweden!

Real...live...music. Thank you Billy and your all star bandmates for the music, the energy, and the humility. See you in NOLA for NYE!
Got back from Greensboro yesterday and was absolutely floored as usual. Always bringing the heat and really brought it coming back to the US the other night!
Seriously?!? That couldn't have been more KILLER!
@renmakesmusic this is Americas rep if you hold a world music event. America may not agree, but they should.
The only band that can be mentioned along with the Grateful Dead
RIP! Jerry Garcia but in general, better musicians than the Grateful Dead!

This is INCREDIBLE! From a parking lot in McKees Rocks, to the Roxian Theater, all the way to Red Rocks.. and beyond!! What a journey. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. 🤘
I've been right there with starting at the rocks, lol. See ya Wednesday
Somehow I missed McKees Rocks, but I was there when he opened for Greensky at Stage AE and stole the show
I was lucky enough to see this in person. It was mind blowing!!
Holy cow that just blew my mind! Billy!
Creek is my favorite live song. That was un-f'ng-believable. When they went back into Creek's final verse I had tears of joy streaming down my face while singing at the top of my lungs. Thank you guys!
Loving your new show Billy, bill and rest of band
You're the baddest best newer band ever
Ive been a bluegrasser for over 40 years. THIS is it! Reminds me of the best of Bill Monroe and Yes.
The New Jerry ❤

I woulda left with a soaked pants. That’s was beautiful
I am continually impressed by Billy and his crew. What an amazing collection of humans.
Hats off to you Billy Strings. What an amazing talent and what a feat it is to find talent like Royal Masat (bass), Alex Hargreaves (fiddle) and the picking of Billy Failing (banjo), Jarrod Walker (mandolin) together this team is without a doubt incomparable. Could listen and watch the skills of these guys endlessly.
On my list of favorite musicians billy is in the top 5 with Hendrix
This is just delightful. I can't even describe how much I love this band's music. Jamz be jamming!!!

Hey Billy! I have seen you many times and each and every time it's been amazing! You have gotten better and better over the years, although that seems impossible after each show because it seems as if you have brought us all to levels that seem unsurpassable. Boston last summer were two shows I thought could not be any better. Please come back to Boston! I am an old Jerry Garcia fanatic (I saw him over 100 times) and you have made music amazing, and sacred again.
Fookin' Eh !
Toward the end of that Creek, I was reminded of the Music City Roots video. My, how far they've come.
actually got chills and tears in my eyes watching this.
Sitting backstage working costumes for a show rn, I clicked on the vid thinking I'd check out a few minutes of this and next thing I know I get sucked in, sat through the whole thing...
I love bluegrass because each member is as talented as the next, could take center stage anytime. Awesome.
I don’t care what all the rappers say Billy is the OG Goat 🐐
Holly shit.. that was the most rock n roll fkn thing I've ever seen.. 38 minutes of amazing music
Another spectacle of talent from this guys!! I'm so lucky to have seen them in their prime!! I wish you all the best and i will see you soon!!
Complete 🔥 and quintessential BMFS!⚡️🐐
Here's how I found you... Heard a beautiful ballad that pulled at my heart, playing from a neighbor's house. Love the instrumentation of bluegrass, being a dulcimer player.... so... I walked over and said WHO is this amazing musician!?!? Does anyone know what the ballad might be?. I want to listen to it again over and over.
