The silicone fluke from Aquamermaid she uses has a monofin (finis shooter or trainer in this brand) that extends up to the fork, which allows for the fins to flow so beautifully. How does all this fabric fare in chlorinated water? I noticed the fabric you use isn't swim fabric. It's so pretty! Does it wear down and fade in the pool?

Chelsea Ovino You must be a prodigy swimmer then. Silicone tails are really heavy and difficult to swim with! When the professional mermaids trained, they always had to have a swimming buddy with them because they could not swim in the tails immediately right away, they often almost sank and drowned!

Are sequin tails harder to swim in? Do they create more resistance and slow you down?
Sequin tails are much lighter than silicone tail and for that reason are much easier to swim with. It feels the same as a fabric tail.
