Not sure if you will see that message, but I want to get a ups for a power failure to keep my internet, my tv, my modem and router. I was thinking using an extension with that kuman above displayed, so that I can find out what wattage I need for the ups.. Would this be good to test and get the reading I need in order to match the ups power requirement... Regards. Alain

Correct you can figure out what size ups you would need for the duration you would want it for. Making it easy to not buy one too low power and one that is way too big. This being said batteries deplete over time so go a bit bigger then what you would need and in the long run will save you. And see if you can find the battery size in the unit and find out what it would cost for a replacement battery down the road.

Gonna put that on your miners to check your operating expenses?

Ya I have some 1200+ watt miners for bitcoin mining and other alt coins could pair a big and small miner up to see if I can get it to beep.

Can you verify the clock only runs with light on? I was under the understanding that the clock ran anytime you had the Kuman plugged into an outlet.

I sadly smashed mine but when there is a current draw on the unit that is the only time I see the time go up. having it plugged in with nothing on it then there was nothing being "metered".

    Great video
    Landlord charges $50.00 a month x 3 months = $150.00 for a air conditioner that uses $23.00 a month x 3 months = $69.00
    $150.00 - $69.00 = $ 81.00 to much
Landlord borrowed it to have it check and is going to lower my bill to $25.00 a month = $75.00 flat rate for the season
As long as I don't tell the other tenants
    What should I do
Do the right thing and tell the tenants, and end up still paying the Landlord $150.00
Also making him mad a me for the rest of my tenancy and a target for eviction
Or keep my mouth shut and enjoy the savings, and have leverage against the Landlord and he will be my new best friend fixing everything I ask for in future?

Honestly if you signed an agreement stating you will pay the $150 and he dropped you down to $75 then that is a bonus for you. Telling the other that have also signed said document would yes cause some concerns. But in the end the Landlord would still be able to collect the $150 as agreed upon. It happens all too often and something that people tend to not be aware of. So with that being said if you have signed a lease agreement or anything regarding the cost than consider yourself lucky and maybe just let them know when you leave unless you need the landlord as a reference. But yes morally I would want to tell the tenants as well but he put the stop to that with the offer of a decreased amount as long as you don't tell. Worst he can do is readjust and I would also get it in writing that your are only to pay that and he wont come after you at any point for back pay. (even a simple email document stating it) But at the end of the day it's your call. Personally I would watch the Meter of the place and find the total consumption as a whole and then divide it by tenants and then see with current cost of electricity in your area and see if it adds up or if he is way out too lunch. Which sound like it. Once again your call what you do with it but for me depending on how long I would be there. I would just enjoy the savings for now. start dropping that extra money into a savings account. P.s. don't take my advice lol

Been trying to find something like / equivalent to this, for larger appliances (i.e., 240 Volt, 4 prong clothes drier). No luck. Any suggestions?

Get one of the European ones or, I’m willing to bet it’s the same model. why not made a (totally legal) adapter and try it out?

    • @stevenkmckendallsr1169
      @stevenkmckendallsr1169 3 года назад

@@XanCatify Have considered and looked into that, but the clothes dryer that I'd want to use it for is 240 volts at 30 amps, and while I found a couple European models at the 240 volt level, none of them operate up to 30 amps. Bummer. That, and even if they do make one that could safely handle the 30 amp limit, which I don't seem don't seem able to find - I also can't seem to find any videos demoing that approach, with any compatible / Convertable socket accessories, that'd be needed, to convert their (European) socket / plug portions of the device, to American. So now, our of sheer frustration, I'm looking into having a sizably lager, custom unit built, via the folks over at BSA Electronics ( www.bsaelectronics.com ) - which, of course, is far more expensive :(

I mean can always have it connected in the panel. haven't seen the euro ones but the frequency is 50hz not 60hz so might not be 100% but ya I would stick with proper rated panel mount ones.
