Unpopular opinion here. I prefer the stock exhaust. The Akra is more of a hum while the stock exhaust has more rasp or character IMO. The Akra definitely looks better. But the stock exhaust is not ugly. It definitely looks better than the stock exhaust on my RT lol

@@FLYANDRIDE15 I love my RT. It is the only bike I’ve had so far that I would regret unloading. It does everything extremely well. It is also very well equipped for 2-up riding. I don’t have to fiddle with suspension like my RG and I have no problems passing people uphill in elevation.
I am currently in the process of working a trade going from my 2022 RG ST to a used 2022 GS Triple Black with 571 miles. I see you have a SG as well. My lady is upset with me because she will miss the sound and cool factor of the RG, although she is more comfortable on the RT.
My intent is to use the GS during the warmer months but I have a feeling that I will really get a lot of use out of it.
@@keithchelini5776 awesome. Thx for the details. Here’s what I will say. The minute your lady rides pillion on the GS she will be forever thankful and never want to go back. My wife loves the GS and prefers it over my CVO, even with my upgraded Wilbur suspension. Just no comparison!

Thank you for the review. I can’t justify the $2k + exspense for the Akrapovic system. And I like the stock exhaust sound much better ! I’d rather a bypass pipe down below and keep the rest stock .

I have the same 2023 gs but coming form a Ducati this thing still sound like a lawnmower
After my bt moto tune, sounds pretty great. But anything coming from a Ducati will sound suboptimal 😂

I get a pretty bad drone from mine, but it's not at any of my crusing speeds it's at kinda an odd ball heavy traffic mph
Maybe I’m just deaf or something but they both sound very similar.

I think it alters the tone at idle and low rpm some but at 4K+ they sound pretty close to stock. There's no denying the better looks, lower weight and slight performance bump but sadly the sound isn't much of a change.
I think the difference is very noticeable but maybe I just forgot what stock sounds like.
I bought that Akrapovic for my R1250gs 2023 but the exhaust sounds louder than the Akrapovic that sells Bmw. Does the same thing happen to you? Thanks
Mine has a different tone and growl. Not sure if it’s louder but I love the sound way more of Akra vs stock, especially after BT-Moto tune. Congrats on the new bike!

Hey, Im doing some re-search on this Exhaust to swap it for my GS and I really don't know if i should or not buy it. Clearly there is a difference between stock and akra. Should i BUY IT!? :D
I love it. Different sound and tone and a bit more HP especially when combined with tune

I did the same on my BMW RS. Sound change was minimal. However it looks a lot better. I ordered titanium headers to get rid of the CAT and also a tune for the bike from BT-Moto. Just checked it out. Great vid. For some reason on mine the sound is noticeably better, especially after bt moto tune
@@FLYANDRIDE15 I'm hoping after changing out the headers and flashing the ECU, I'll have a deeper rich sound. I don't want it too loud though. Also probably get more pops on down shifting. Safe journeys!
