It's an unnoticeable difference in his intended arena, but now it begs the question if that X meters is a sphere or cylinder
Interestingly this is how the Hoarah Loux's Earthshaker ash of war works. The initial roar is a sphere around you, but the actual damaging hits can be jumped up close, yet still hit people on a higher elevation, so I wouldn't be surprised if this worked the same way. I think there are a few other ashes of war that work this way aswell.

Yo Radagon’s raid was fire, the way he dodged, parried, and sniped at the rangers way onto of the cliff looks almost “professional” unlike the rest… except maybe Godfrey who stomped all the way to the top XD
Malenia played like a true Souls player. Started off trying to kill everyone, hp got low so decided to book it for the boss, one hit away from death during boss fight, heals and is victorious. She’s a true veteran.

I think Malenia mostly lived because the ballistas can't seem to deal with crouching so during her Scarlet Aeonia they shot the ground instead of her. (you can also see it during the Morgott fight when they stance break him and start hitting his feet instead of center chest.)
Literally anyone could've taken godricks rune. Especially Malenia considering she defeated him and spared his life. The battle for runes feels like it wasn't about the runes at all, but defeating the rune bearers or something else entirely rather than just collecting them.

Rykard more so wanted to destroy the Erdtree while Morgott just wanted to access it, but he couldn't. Mogh's plan is unclear, but I assume he seeks to conquer the Erdtree for the Formless Mother. Ranni didn't care for the great runes or Erdtree at first, she discarded her own great rune, but later on she decides to replace Marika in the name of the Moon along with the player. Malenia and Miquella just wanted their own Haligtree to flourish, Radahn dedicated himself to Sellia and keeping Caelid and the Carian Royal Family safe, he doesn't have Elden Ring ambitions.

And anyone who wants access to the erdtree needed 2 runes to enter lyendel. We know radahn tried to enter lyendel but was held off by morgott, and having godricks rune would've made a bid difference. Malenia having another great rune would've made it a lot easier to deal with radahn and she literally spared godrick on her way to caelid. We don't know if any of them can actually wield 2 runes to start off with ofcourse. However, we are tasked with gathering 2 runes.

Every successful run was absolutely epic. Big brain move from Radahn. Malenia finally starting to use HER brain and then keeping you on the edge of your seat right to the end. Radagon (debatably unsuccessful) taking them apart with true class. And Godfrey stomp-spamming his way to victory, while even taking the time to pick up the ash of war from the scarab.
Godfrey taking all of the challenge out of this by foot stomping everything before it could even get onscreen was so funny-chadly cheese Daddy Placidusax is too good to be engaged in these sorts of frivolities, I guess

@@davidtsmith33 My guess is that all the bosses were auto-aggroed on Godrick whenever nothing else was in their range to make it work and them go towards him, and this played a trick with Radahn's phase transition. When he initiated the meteor attack, flew up in the sky, lost aggro on soldiers and switch targets to Godrick. At least it's the best explanation I can think of.

Indeed, on the final fight he really makes you feel like a bug on his room, and here it's more akin to a being sent to exterminate, no survivors. Other bosses are clunky as hell in terms of movement and attacks, but he seems to fit perfectly in an area he's not supposed to be. Malenia would be very close if she didn't try to walk her way through the door at first.
This is amazing. Radahn gave me a chuckle (work smart, not hard), Godfrey was stupidly powerful and Chadagon stole my heart (so annoying that all bosses are resistant to holy damage...). Would love to see more!
This was so good seeing, specially Radagon, he was like Terminator during the whole run, sturdy af. Godfrey is way to strong for this, Malenia is Malenia, shamefully Maliketh didn't made it, I was hoping for him to do it. Radah was the smartest. Mogh, Morgot and Godrick are slow and with no dodges, Renalla was doing so well, but she uncover herself, bad thing. A shame the bigger bosses didn't enter, considering their size it's fair, but it was a reallly interesting idea, looking for the next location/castel runs.
Godfrey, by right, are the most gruesome bosses ever reached on the top without feeling struggle. Unlike other bosses (except Melania) who couldn't make its way to the top 😂
How were the ballistas able to target Malenia so much farther out than the others? Were they just that afraid of her? I REALLY hope you do more videos like this! Battle Royale fights are fun to watch but seeing bosses run a gauntlet using their powers was a whole different level of interesting.
The reason why the ballistas target her so much farther is because once they are aggro, their range increases by a lot. You can try this yourself. Aggro them and then turn back
If Godrick's last hit of that 5-part combo hit (11:30 for those who want to see), HE WOULD HAVE BESTED MALENIA. IT WAS THAT CLOSE! If her Ai had chosen a move other than Waterfowl Dance or the clone combo, HE WOULD'VE BESTED HER!
Amazing how a pure strength Chad has the best range in the game. I dont think any spells/incantations reach as far as Godfrey's shockwaves/fissure attack. Spectacular
I am incredibly amazed by the game playing the phase transition scenes for the bosses in the locations where they actually died, keeping the background and everything, instead of it being "premade" with the area the boss is in normally, how I would expect it to be.
I had low expectations for this video, but HOLY SHIT was I wrong! The runs of Malenia, Godfrey and especially Radagon were so cool and cinematic they made the rest absolutely worth wading through! I'm curious though, how did you program the bosses for this? They were very consistent with following the path to reach Godrick specifically, as showcased by Radahn whose phase transition tracks his target and went straight to Godrick. And yet, they didn't walk in a straight line, didn't ignored the enemies in front of them (except for those who would have been a waste of time to reach, and Malenia skipping everyone after a certain point). Radagon even cleared an obstacle in front of him instead of walking against it as you would expect. How did you do it?
There are patrol programs in the game. For example some minions will walk around an area. This video is made with that.Radahn's Meteor is a procedurally controlled teleportation.Malenia's round was due to modifying Godrick's hatred value, and Malenia saw him halfway. So she ignored the minions around her.

this honestly makes a tower defense mod a good idea, where as you can buy defenders to defend any boss main area(goddricks castle, rennalas academy, ect) with runes from each invader armies or bosses killed.

Radagon has to be one of the best designed FromSoft bosses. His movement is so flowy and deliberate.
Indeed, on the final fight he really makes you feel like a bug on his room, and here it's more akin to a being sent to exterminate, no survivors.
Other bosses are clunky as hell in terms of movement and attacks, but he seems to fit perfectly in an area he's not supposed to be. Malenia would be very close if she didn't try to walk her way through the door at first.
I was about to comment how strong Malenia clone attack was against mobs in the castle but yeah... Godfrey lmao

This is amazing. Radahn gave me a chuckle (work smart, not hard), Godfrey was stupidly powerful and Chadagon stole my heart (so annoying that all bosses are resistant to holy damage...). Would love to see more!

Godfrey is way to strong for this, Malenia is Malenia, shamefully Maliketh didn't made it, I was hoping for him to do it.
Radah was the smartest. Mogh, Morgot and Godrick are slow and with no dodges, Renalla was doing so well, but she uncover herself, bad thing.
A shame the bigger bosses didn't enter, considering their size it's fair, but it was a reallly interesting idea, looking for the next location/castel runs.

I REALLY hope you do more videos like this! Battle Royale fights are fun to watch but seeing bosses run a gauntlet using their powers was a whole different level of interesting.
The reason why the ballistas target her so much farther is because once they are aggro, their range increases by a lot.
You can try this yourself.
Aggro them and then turn back

If Godrick's last hit of that 5-part combo hit (11:30 for those who want to see), HE WOULD HAVE BESTED MALENIA. IT WAS THAT CLOSE! If her Ai had chosen a move other than Waterfowl Dance or the clone combo, HE WOULD'VE BESTED HER!
Malenia phase 1 - couldn’t even get through the main gate. Phase 2 was a completely different story however…

I am incredibly amazed by the game playing the phase transition scenes for the bosses in the locations where they actually died, keeping the background and everything, instead of it being "premade" with the area the boss is in normally, how I would expect it to be.
Godfrey's coming to them is as the literal footsteps of doom!

I had low expectations for this video, but HOLY SHIT was I wrong!
The runs of Malenia, Godfrey and especially Radagon were so cool and cinematic they made the rest absolutely worth wading through!
I'm curious though, how did you program the bosses for this? They were very consistent with following the path to reach Godrick specifically, as showcased by Radahn whose phase transition tracks his target and went straight to Godrick. And yet, they didn't walk in a straight line, didn't ignored the enemies in front of them (except for those who would have been a waste of time to reach, and Malenia skipping everyone after a certain point). Radagon even cleared an obstacle in front of him instead of walking against it as you would expect. How did you do it?
There are patrol programs in the game. For example some minions will walk around an area. this honestly makes a tower defense mod a good idea, where as you can buy defenders to defend any boss main area(goddricks castle, rennalas academy, ect) with runes from each invader armies or bosses killed.
