Bayonetta's gameplay in 3 goes from "liberating" to "downright GODLY" once you realize (and master which doesnt include me) you can pre-program moves to the demon slaves with long windup moves to keep them summoned while you still combo normally as bayonetta
When I found out about the back laser show attack it became one of my favourite moves. I have been trying to find out ways for sending enemies flying multiple times so I can just see the laser show several times. I don't care if I don't get a nice rating, that's one of the most amazing and showy moves in the game!
Looking forward for more Bayo 3 stuff. I dont like this game enemy design (huge damage sponges that doesnt get hit stun unless you use demon slave), but the way you played looked different
Amazing stuff! I'm still trying myself to incorporate this. I can easily combo mixing Masquerade and Demon Slave but I just can't finish any normal combos yet while summoning.
Demon Slave commands can be queued up, right? So, it's a a matter of finding enough time to input these Demon Slave commands without breaking Bayo's combo route. For example, a slow weapon like G-Pillar has extremely slow attack animations, meaning you can input Slave commands during Bayo's combo route rather easily. Faster weapons like the Yo-Yos or CMW are much more difficult, so I usually queue these commands during a dodge offset or the umbran spear equivalent. So in the clip above around 0:15, I'm performing Bayo's combo P P K P while inserting a Demon Slave command 360P during the first dodge. Here are the inputs... P P K -> Dodge Offset + Demon Slave 360 P -> Dodge Offset -> P -> Wink Slave Of course... this is much easier said than done. I'm not sure if I'll make an official tutorial since I still don't fully have a grasp on it.

It’s so amazing cause this is accurate to how Bayonetta would naturally progress these skills. In Bayo 1 the wicked weaves became Umbran climax, in Bayo 2 Umbran climax essentially functioned like Demon slave, in Bayo 3 and possibly 4, Bayo could potentially summon (and does) multiple demons at once! There’s no telling what could be next!!
Easiest way to learn this is by using the umbran clock tower as your summons with the combo finisher and when in use as a regular demon slave use dodge offset to activate the demon while playing regularly

The problem is that Bayo's attacks have been heavily nerfed and/or the enemies' life pool boosted so much in order to make the Demon Slaves worthwhile, that you're actively putting yourself at a disadvantage by not using them. Interesting for a self-imposed challenge run, sure, but definitely not an option for playing the game normally. In fact, there are a couple of enemies that can't even be beaten without the Demons as they have shields against regular attacks, especially some forms of the final boss. Your last sentence is also incomplete: "I hope Platinum understands that [SOME of] their fans are enjoying this system to inferno and back". This is most definitely not a general statement.
@@ILoveBees I definitely think there should have been more areas that have “no infernal entry” maybe even 50% of the verses, with such nerfs subtilely absent. But I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a game encouraging you to use and learn it’s mechanics, especially if they are incredibly well designed mechanics. If they didn’t do what you criticized, the game would be extremely easy for anyone who even dabbles with half of the games main mechanics, and that would be a nightmare
I don't disagree. I just pointed out that your dismissive rebuttal ("as if that's not still an option or something") completely glosses over the fact that the meta of the combat has significantly changed from prior games in favor of Demon Slaves and "just playing as Bayonetta normally" is basically equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot. You're actively punished if you want to play the game as the character which it's named after.
I would agree that I'm not particularly a big fan of how they handled Bayo's attacks when fighting Demon Slave class enemies (ex. Floccus or anything bigger). One of my main gripes with how the game is balanced is that none of Bayo's attacks (both standard and Masquerade moves) actually do anything interesting beyond numerical damage for these types of enemies. No interesting hit reactions, no ability to break enemy armor. Truth be told, I much prefer the first gameplay trailer when it was shown that Masquerade moves could both break enemy armor and push enemies around. Not sure what happened in between the 1st and 2nd trailers... At the moment (thoughts subject to change), I feel that the focus of this game is to absolutely shred through Homunculi using a combination of Bayo and the Demon Slave. You can play this game incredibly fast if you're interested in high DPS play styles and absolutely dominating these enemies. If you're that type of player, you'll definitely enjoy this game. But if you're more interested in figuring out how you can use your moves to elicit interesting hit reactions, you're going to be rather disappointed by a majority of the enemies in this game.
@@ILoveBees I feel like the point about "wanting to play as the main character" depends on what brought someone to this game in the first place. To some, this system will be a gameplay realization of the character's canon abilities that were limited to cinematic quick time events because of gameplay limitations, much like modern Sonic the Hedgehog games allowing Sonic to go through environments at speeds that would have never worked in the original Sonic games. But to others, they came to the product because they enjoyed the exact gameplay of the old original titles, and not for the characterization. Like for example: "I don't care how much faster Sonic goes now, I think the gameplay of the Genesis games was better" Vs: "We now have Sonic games where he can move as fast as he only used to be able to in the animated cutscenes in Sonic CD! This feels more like I'm playing as Sonic than the old games"
Ok so what kind of witchcraft is this? I will never reach thsis kind of level myself, but damn is just overwhelming to see how much stuff is packed on this game
I think I have finally understood what exactly I dislike in the main gameplay portion of Bayo 3. *It's the Astral Chain of the Bayonetta series. They literally crammed in AC into my Bayonetta.* And I can't believe that's precisely the thing I kind of dislike about it, especially seeing how I used to think of how phenomenal it could've been if Bayo could actually control demons in gameplay. Fascinating. Because I can't force myself to replay Bayo 3 for the second time, all while furiously purposefully replaying Bayo 1 instead.
I know my thoughts will change after more time has passed but at the moment, I would say that Bayo 3 does some things better than Astral Chain (manual control over summons, queue system, more independence from summoner) but also a few things worse (summon call burst, heavily affecting level and enemy design, mid-air summon meteor effect except Alraune???, Wink Slave is sorta bad). I'm not surprised that some Bayo fans bounced off of this game because it's an incredibly extreme game that diverges heavily from the combat system established in 1. But I'm a sucker for this kind of multitasking so I can't help but tinker with it despite its flaws.
@@chrysaoravioli oh, go crazy with it - you are great at putting up the show with it and making it shine ! But I miss all of those numerous missing features of the original game. Like, for example, all those punish attacks ? All of those rare contextual commands ? Those hidden mechanics like Kulshedra’s ability to spin the caught enemy around, which never resurfaced with Alraune, a overall similar weapon ? The original game has this thing of going to the max with its novelty of being a game about humiliating opponents in any and every way possible. Gameplay and in cutscenes. So much sass, so much poison in it. People seem to forget just how novel and anti-genre it was to have angels not only being the enemies, but get humiliated by a sexy cheeky witch. @@Aidan8N yeah, I’ll be back to it eventually. And in that game minigames are quite prevalent as well, the main difference being that unlike in Bayo 3 TW101’s minigames are mostly STILL USING the main gameplay mechanics (meaning Unite Morphs), unless we are talking about moments or controlling giant mechs and space ships. They feel organic, unlike Bayo 3, which minigames have incredibly little to do with main organic gameplay. Not like, say, controlling Sin Gommorah is a real mechanic or anything… Phenomena Remnants, you say ? I’ll give it a look, thanks !
@@viewtiful1doubleokamihand253i like most of the mini games in w101 and bayo 3 as well. there's a few annoying ones but they mostly work. thing with bayonetta 3 is that working the demon slave is so weird and complex that you need a lot of time to practice with it, but the game keeps switching gameplay styles on you, so it's hard to learn all that stuff. wonderful 101 letting you draw weapons in most of the minigames meant you could still practice in them. the phenomena remnants are little bonus fights that you unlock for finding the cat + crow + toad. there's no mini games so it's a nice way to practice the combat.

Like for example: "I don't care how much faster Sonic goes now, I think the gameplay of the Genesis games was better"
Vs: "We now have Sonic games where he can move as fast as he only used to be able to in the animated cutscenes in Sonic CD! This feels more like I'm playing as Sonic than the old games"
Bravo sir. Just bravo.

This is the best Bayo 3 gameplay everrrr
How to use Bayonetta exactly as she would figth connonically
Please we need more Gravity Rush love 😢
I aspire for aerial combos like this
How do you summon madama butterfly twice to do those upper cuts so fast 😭
Inputs:
First uppercut is a (360 Punch), second uppercut is a combo finisher Wink Slave. Those can be done back to back 👌
Ok so what kind of witchcraft is this?
I will never reach thsis kind of level myself, but damn is just overwhelming to see how much stuff is packed on this game
I think I have finally understood what exactly I dislike in the main gameplay portion of Bayo 3. *It's the Astral Chain of the Bayonetta series. They literally crammed in AC into my Bayonetta.*
And I can't believe that's precisely the thing I kind of dislike about it, especially seeing how I used to think of how phenomenal it could've been if Bayo could actually control demons in gameplay.
Hell, I myself only recently re-discovered that part of the original game’s concept.
Here’s for Project GG to get shown off next year. I am very interested in what’s Kamiya cooking.
just play the phenomena remnants and witch trials instead so you can learn the combat without mini games every 5 seconds
@@Aidan8N yeah, I’ll be back to it eventually.
The funny thing about Bayo 3’s minigames is that I don’t necessarily have much against them - I’m a huge The Wonderful 101 fan, I personally find it to be Kamiya’s ultimate grand soul magnum opus. Not like, say, controlling Sin Gommorah is a real mechanic or anything…
Phenomena Remnants, you say ?

De todo lo que e visto esto a Sido mi favorito
Bewitching fighting style!
Try he sayd, i cand do even half of it
"try playing the game well"
Whats the song thats playing on the background?
Please check the description for more information.
Behold the rare footage of Bayonetta 3 looking vaguely like Bayonetta 1 and 2
Noice. Tho I already play stylishly
How do you guys dash or chase the enemies so quickly? I forgot the input for it.
Right bumper twice will launch you towards an enemy
@@kpkazan you have to hold forward for it to work in 3. I don’t know why they changed it
The thing is that you play bayonetta 3 like the real bayonetta would slay the homonculi, with grace, beauty and perfection, trully 10/10👏👏
Umbra tower go bong
Next level gameplay chrysaora. It reminds me of donguri990 with Devil May Cry Series and 옹발이 ONGBAL with Sekiro. I can't wait to see how much you improve? Also, have you tried changing the controller layout? Maybe that will help you drop combos less? I had to remap nearly the entire controller layout for Sekiro before I could play the game well.
I currently use the default control scheme because it's the most comfortable. If only Platinum offered rebindable controls...
Really though, I just need to practice more. Looking back on this video, it's way too sloppy in the second half. I'm whiffing too many of inputs because I wasn't paying attention to the armor break state haha
I love this video
