I think that the best way to address the power creep, that is realistic and wouldn't be a ridiculous banlist, would be some sort of method to make more decks that can afford to end their combos early without it being a death sentence. With power creep being inevitable, with power and consistency more or less maxed out with Snake-Eyes I think that a lateral move of being able to make a deck that can take the foot off the gas is both a logical step and one that would, in the long run, lead into a more healthy game.
Like ignoring the Calamity Lock I'd say Centur-Ion is a step in the right direction. If some drops Mulcharmy and Dogwood right off the bat against Centur-Ion, they can normal summon Primera (1 draw for opponent), add Wake-Up, go into Trudea (1000 LP), Synchro into DEF position Auxilia (3000LP), add Truth Centur-Ion and they're still ending on whatever hand traps they opened plus one negate and a 3K wall and avoided Nibiru as well, and if they don't need to use their Truth Centur-Ion they can go into full combo next turn. It's suboptimal and Centur-Ion is only considered to be around tier 2 even with Calamity but I think that something like this is interesting in being able to address the problems in game speed.
A card like Spooky Dogwood being broken is, to me, less about "Spooky Dogwood is a problem" or "time rules are a problem" but that the game around it is a problem. It's basically a way that overextension can be effectively punished, except it only really applies specifically to a tournament setting with low time on the clock. Casual players don't like long turns. Core players don't like one-sided blowouts. Competitive players don't like losing to luck. These three issues can all be solved without sacrificing the others.

I'm actually so glad that you talking about this topic because this is really ia topics that Konami needs to address

That's the exact reason why I wanted to make this video, it feels like no one is talking about it currently! I'm usually not stressing about cards, but this will most likely result in huge problems if not taken cared of properly (and especially after the release of Fuwaross). It's also one of those "hidden issues" that comes with the current time rules of the TCG

I tried to get back into Master Duel using a Blackwing deck, faced a Yubel/Unchained deck that interrupted literally 7 times in my first turn. I was ok, the game is not playable anymore. Good luck

I think the ceiling for the game is extremely high right now. It’s hard to recommend the game to people since even at a somewhat competitive level it’s hard for newer players to join on the TCG side. The OCG has tried to fix this with the tactical try decks that are a success.
I think the current tier 0-1 decks need to be nerfed, but not for a competitive level but for a commercial Blue-Eyes level with the new support on the rise, players are going to flock to try and play it and the TCG side is aware of how much profit is earned with just DM nostalgia, even to players not aware of the current game at all if you see a yugioh tin at the store it is catered to just extremely casual yugioh viewers not players but just someone who watched the show. Same thing will happen with the structure deck. That’s how the TCG is ran, not based off of players but profit. I can guarantee prior to the blue eyes structure deck there will be a banlist that slaughters the current meta.

I 100% agree. What Konami has done great in previous years are the structure decks to get new/returning players in the game. For example the Salamangreat structure deck on it's release was a really budget friendly option with meta relevance. This year however on national season the fire structure was quickly outshined by Snake Eye, Yubel, Tenpai etc and the ceiling just went through the roof. I believe there has to be a meta relevant structure decks released early spring that would make the national season/game appealing for new players.

So as someone who has played competitively before and has been around for so long, I can say this officaly without worry. So here it goes...
I have watched almost all of the "I quit or I am quitting Yugioh for X reason" and as someone who has stuck through this game for decades now, The game is broken yes, but for a long long time its been broken and hasn't really gotten fixed in a way that would prevent it from going off the rails. Konami needs to do better with a number of things, and has needed to for years, but no one really knows if those problems are ever going to be addressed and looked at. The biggest issue that I have always had with the current state of the game is that cards like beatrice being in decks that isn't locked into an archtype or cards like baronne being banned when it would have been better for everyone to have cards like that errated so that only certain decks play them. All of the competitive decks have cards in the extra deck that are staples, especially snake eyes, because we all know that snake eyes doesn't have extra deck monsters or if they do and I don't know, they aren't really good. Everyone hops on the game is dying argument that it has almost become laughable at this point. I do agree completely with you silent and you as well dale that this game is something that needs to be addressed in a number of ways.
I love this game so much, its my main hobby and has been for a long long time, and it sucks watching it get turned into something like FTK or 25 minutes or more of solitare, but at this point, they would have to completely redo the banned list, and would have to fix prizing for people so that most people who top don't walk out empty handed or have a way to pay for their trips and everything. The whole switch thing is funny because no one wants a 7 year console thats worth less than 200 dollars and a card that is a hard to sell or isn't worth getting, not saying all are like that but its an issue at times. I think the new tins coming out is terrible as well because its a 400 card set with very sought after cards in and it feels like another cash grab at times. We'll have to wait and see with the new banlist which I hope will help the game and not just provide a temporary band aid fix on it. I am Completely blown away by the time rules and how cards like spooky dogwood are allowed to actually decide matches not based off of skill or how well the player Pilots the deck but by time and how much life points you're gaining before the end of the turn. Card games like Pokémon in magic. The gathering all are broken in their own way.But this game is really the only game that I have the most investment in not only financially but emotionally as well.

@@shadowofthemoon8766 Yes, I agree with multiple points you brought up. The game has always had its flaws and some formats are more luck based than others. Yu-Gi-Oh has in my opinion already survived long enough that it would be really hard for me to see the card game die out. There has always been these "I'm quitting because of Synchros/XYZ or whatever" people, but it's true that Yu-Gi-Oh is in a particularly bad place currently. As a dedicated Blackwing player who has always seen the light at the end of the tunnel, the last time I felt remotely like now was during the Zodiac format when Master Peace was around (like 7.5 years ago). I do believe Konami will release a huge banlist next, but if they're not including Spooky Dogwood, then a otherwise good format could be at risk
