I looked up the lyrics and I still don't know what mistake number 3 means, it didn't even say what mistakes numbers 1 and 2 were. In fact, the lyrics were bizarre and incomprehensible, I don't know how George even thought them up.
From what I gather, "Mistake No.3" would mean a third world war. Being that we already had World War I, then World War II. The mistake would be in the killing of innocent people. Listen and try to comprehend the lyrics. It's laid right out for us to see and hear.

I've heard it said that the first 2 albums were written for Jon, then George decided he wasn't going to write songs about Jon anymore.

The mistake would be in another World War. We already had I and II.
