Right at the end of the video at 23:36, you get to hear all of around ten seconds of the bike in ICE mode.

Should sound just like their Ninja 400.

A very cool machine, though I'm not that interested - I have a Honda NC750X so there seems to be very little added value here. However, I wish everyone great time and great experience with the Kawasaki :)

Awesome video. I personally got the ev1 because I wanted a city bike. Both these platforms have room to grow. My big issue with the h7 is I believe it should have used a smaller engine maybe the one from the previous ninja 300 and had a bigger EV side and range. The weight of the big is significant. The E1 is 308 pounds vs the h7 at 528! The silent EV mode is just to small of a range. They're both cool but have so much room for improvement.

My take is: hybrid motorbike is not targeted at existing ICE bikers, but those upgrading from e-scooter and statement maker for car owners.

Well, I've been riding motorcycles for 25 years or more, and I find this very interesting. If I'm being honest, it's a far more practical proposition than my current triumph, but I do find it quite ugly!

Honestly i think they've made a mistake by choosing this "beginner" segment.
Imagine a ninja 1000sx with hybrid motor. It is already a heavy bike so you wouldnt really notice the extra weight. And the extra punch in the low and mid revs will be very much welcome in aggressive riding, and the ability to do city riding in silent EV would be perfect.
You would get really high fuel mileage too, considering the EV engine would drop the fuel usage by 1l/100km.
And if they priced it reasonably (under 20k) it would be the ultimate all round machine.

Cool tech but needs dual clutch and park brake, I have a Zero and miss being able to leave it in gear, I think a park brake is available however for the Zero. Also, it needs kick down for sudden acceleration needs (dual clutch).

?dual clutch, park brake?? →you can leave 1 gear in and what you mean by dual clutch . This bike does'nt have a (manually) clutch.
And with the "Booster" on the right handle bar ..you can have additional acceleration when needed!!

I understand there's no clutch lever therefore no clutch perch. I wish they had something to cover that giant blank spot on the left handlebar. Upside you can add a bar mount with room to spare.

I think it's a really cool bike, but not having a clutch lever is a dealbreaker for me :/

Gear selection and changing modes is far too complicated. Should still have a foot gear changing but treat it like flappy paddles instead of a real gear changer. Have a single rocker switch which flips between modes. EV, Manual and Performance instead of treating it like an Auto making it more like a regular bike. However Auto can still be selected.
I'm curious where this will lead. I'm a fan of EVs for bikes however they need improvement and the Hybrid seems best of both with the correct formula. I'm also more and more curious about technology which removes the clutch like the Honda E-Clutch.

Gear changing on left handle bar isn't complicated at all..and i did'nt miss the food gear changing at all.
