Cats are more restrained and express their feelings differently. More often than not, their owners can only guess what their furry companions are feeling. SUMMARY:
- If your cat always bites its nails when grooming itself, you probably have nothing to worry about, since this is basically the feline version of a manicure!
- To their kitty logic, if the water in the bowl moves, then it's probably alright. That's why cats are so captivated by tap and toilet water.
- Most cats prefer to sleep in small cozy spaces where it's difficult to get to them. Things like boxes or sinks make them feel safe and secure.
- If your cat touches your face slightly, it’s simply showing love. Tapping their paws on your face means “Hey I did something, you better clean it up” or “Get up and feed me, please!”
- Even the sweetest little kitten in the world can hiss from time to time, and it’s a clear sign that they’re either frightened or ticked off.
- If your cat ignores you, just let it be. Your pet will definitely appreciate the respect and will love you even more!
- Chewing on plants could be caused by several things. First of all, a lot of cats do it when their tummy is upset or they just wanna eat something with a different texture. Other cats are simply curious or trying to get your attention.
- If your cat has suddenly started hanging out in its litter, it can be a sign of sickness. When accompanied with other red flags like loss of appetite, then this behavior definitely warrants a call to the vet.
- A lot of the time, begging becomes such a routine for cats that they start doing it even when they're not hungry. Another possible reason is your kitty's desire for attention and love.
- When you leave the room, they feel vulnerable to predators, so they decide to follow you. And believe it or not, a lot of the time the bathroom is the place where they feel the safest!
- If your cat always sits on your clothes whenever you leave them, you should be kinda flattered because this is how they mark you as a member of their pack!

I used to hiss at my cat when he was using claws on me, and he was so shocked and then, he stopped, he is a sweetheart, and guess i am just his mom becasue i adopted him when he was 2-3 weeks old.
My cat is an emotional support cat. So when ever i'm sad, hurt, or sick he's there. Sometimes i'm fine and he still shows up with a look of worry and immediately starts snuggling.
If I have my cat locked In a room with me and i start crying (i dont cry alot) they look at me and there like:just let me out of the room

My cat, Kibba, seems to like to try and talk like a person. Sometimes you can ask him a question and he will answer back. He is the most vocal, most affectionate cat I've ever met. The way I found him was he got chased by dogs and laid low on the porch. I was outside searching through the car, so when I turned around I saw him freaked out by the commotion. I carried him inside and he acted very calm. Since then, he loves to chatter with us and "tells" us what he sees outside. He follows us everywhere and thinks he's just like us. And, he knows exactly how to get the attention he wants by acting very cute. Kibba is highly intelligent.

Meows or mixture of other sounds?
My cat uses mixture sounds that come off as a combination purring and short meow, with the occasional light squeak thrown in. Kind of interesting to mimic her to see how she reacts to the response.
Kibba: " meow, mrrrow, meows, mrreow. "
You: " what? "
Kibba: " what part of meow don't you understand? "
Our Ragdoll female is the same. I think she learned to recognize the intonation of a question. She usually doesn't respond to other sentences especially if I'm mad at her. When she saw a pigeon for the first time she kept coming back inside for me to go look at it with her. Cats are awesome.

My cat likes to scare me; when I'm sitting on the couch, she will sneak to the side and jump on the coach. She does that aaaall the time. Once I screamed and ran away, she also became scared and scrambled away 😂 I laughed so hard at her she's so crazy 😂😂😂😂😂

I have a cat that is completely in love with my husband. I mean seriously! He can shout out his name and he comes running from the back yard like a dog. My kitty used to be a little "noli me tangere" (Latin for "touch me not") as a kitten and youngster, but as she got to be over a year old, and we moved to a better home, she started being very loving and asking for affection many times a day (or night). She gets up on my bed, lies down near me, and purrs. She does the same with my BF in his room.
Sometimes I brush her, and that is an extra bonus, because I am grooming her; which cats do for each other all the time when they like or love each other; but since I can't really lick her with my tongue, I pet, scratch, massage, and brush her; all of which she loves, and can't get enough of!
I love my cats so much and after watching this I’m extremely flattered

My aunt's cat slapped her face until she woke to hear a tornado was coming bear their house. An earthquake happened well north of me and both my cats went quiet and stared north. At the same time, the birds, my guinea pig went silent. I immediately turned on the TV to think a storm is coming to find out a 5 or 6 Ritcher earthquake just happened. If you listen to your cat, you'll know if a twister is coming.
goes to confirm that animals are more perceptive/sensitive to our world than we are. I've read about pets acting weird or even going missing (running away) from an area that was about to have a tremor or earthquake. I can believe it.
@@StinzandL I believe it too. I read about a guy who predicted earthquakes by reading the missing pets ads. If he saw a spike in missing pets, then he knew a quake was coming.

I read a book it was called something like "escaping the giant wave" and there was a dog in it that would go crazy when a tsunami was o it's way, even if it was still really far away.

When my present cat arrived she was just a kitten. I had an older Tom who was always in charge. New kitten understood that she was not allowed to use the usual old Tom places to sleep, so found her own.
After two years, old Tom died. Kitten looked for her friend all over, and I let her into all the rooms to search. Even though she had never seen anyone go there, she howled at the attic door in the ceiling. At last, I opened up and put a ladder there. She went up to check for old Tom, but found nothing. she came down again, satisfied that Tom had gone.
However, she still respects those Tom sleeping places and leaves them alone.

My kitty used to be super exclusive to me. I unfortunately had to rehome her over apartment complaints, but she was moved in with my nearby parents and branched out to other people for affection while still letting me hold and pet her.
In days following me brief visits she will eagerly seek to get up onto my mom's shoulders just like she'd do to me. Maybe she sees my mom as a suitable substitute.
They swap owners or ppl they favor if u dont give them the attention and love and trust - i.e you have to move for sometime. U can always gain their trust again.
For me when i have a arguement i my cat gets scared and runs away drom me but a lil time after she comes back again. Lol also if u are the one thay feed them theyll favor u a lot more

Weird things my cats do:
-eats birds
-holds his paw on my nose for long periods of time
-rolls over so far and is startled when he’s not upside down anymore
-drinks toilet water
-climbs under the sheets of my bed
-only pees on MY things. Apparently he’s not MY CAT, I’m HIS HUMAN.

My cat doesn’t hiss at me but she hiss at her friend when they first met. My kittens favorite spot to sleep is in my closet on a suitcase, I noticed them and put a blanket on there for comfort.

My cat has always lived with my parents and I since she was eight weeks old. She loves me and my dad and she follows us around everywhere and has those special little meows for us, but yet she hates my mom for no reason. She’ll randomly go and slap her and claw her and hiss at her for no reason. It’s super weird, especially since mom has only done nothing but show her love and affection since day one.
Ask your mom to try change perfume, maybe she smells like citrus fruits for example

Omg finally an answer, thank you! I go to the bathroom every morning when my alarm goes off and every morning my cat follows me, every time she hears the bathroom door open she comes running. Sometimes she will hear my alarm go off and just automatically runs to the bathroom and waits at the door because she knows that’s where I am going. Thank you, I’ve always thought my cat was just weird or something but now that you have explained it I feel a little bit closer to her. ❤️

My cat will watch tv or climb sideways on our walls/furniture and if there are dogs in the house she'll hide on top of something until they walk by so she can jump down on them. But her favorite thing to play with is toilet paper rolls and shoelaces.
My female cat can’t just come up and cuddle /sit with me . Since she was a kitten she’s always had to sneak onto my lap or next to me and if I look at her she’ll stop then slowly start her ninja cuddling all over again. The pair are 4 now and she still does it and it’s easily the cutest part of my day

Put our cat Rose on the table;
If Rose continuously sniffs your feet, and or rubs her face all over them, you have stinky feet. If she ignores your feet, they smell fine.😹

My cat doesn't drink from his own water very often (according to this video I should change it more often). Instead, he usually drinks out of the dog's water bowl (which is actually an empty coffee grounds container) by sticking his paw in it and licking the water off his paw. When I do see him drink from his own water bowl, he doesn't do that.
EDIT: Then again, I suppose the coffee grounds container does come up almost to his shoulders sitting down so it'd be kinda hard to lap at it normally.

One time I used to see a cat drink water with it's paws at the pet store and I was like 'what is that cat doing?'It was very funny and cute
My cat leans over the whole bowl getting her chest wet and licks the edge where the water meets the side of the bowl. I’ve seen cats that only drink with paws though.

So I have 1 CATFISH and 1 CATbird. Also 3rd CATfish likes to eat Betta food. He also has a large vocabulary of cat sounds for each thing he wants to do or eat. It's like talking to someone with an ability to make himself understood. It really is amazing and he understands what you tell him.
Go figure. They all give us hours of fun.
2. One of my cats is fascinated with the flushing toilet. She will circle the toilet as if trying to figure out where the water goes.

My cat will jump up on you if he wants to be carried around and held. He also likes to drag some small stuffed animal around so he can groom it.

MY cat..used to suckle my mole, on my face (as a kitten) I discouraged that behavior then he stopped, many years later, he went missing. long story short, we were reunited! The weird thing, he started suckling my mole, but only that one time, he has never done it again! I think he was just letting me know, he knew he was home and he loved me!!
My cat was ran over a month ago and I just miss her so much 😔 seeing everyone living happily with their cats still around makes me sad. I’m happy for them but so depressed my kitty is gone 😔 She use to do all of these things in the video too!!
elizabeth carvalho sorry to hear of your loss. Its terribly sad to lose a fur baby, I lost my boy two years ago & still tear up at the thought of him. Hopefully your cat is chasing lots of mice and getting lots of cuddles in kitty heaven.
The Cats Pyjamas ugh I’m so sorry about your fur baby as well. It’s truly so difficult especially when it’s so unexpected. You see them and are cuddling with them one moment and the next you have no idea where they are just to find out they were ran over. It’s truly the worst & I can’t seem to get over it 😔 it’s slowly going away but my house feels so empty without my cat 🐈
