Another great video. Glad you showed us the map. You zap around so quickly its hard to keep up with where you are. I'm very interested in this section of your trip as I haven't seen much from that area. Thanks again.

Minor correction, if I may, Maarten: Belém is considered to be in the Northern region, not Northeastern and it is the capital of the Pará state. That region I am not brave enough to tackle on motorcycle. I would go crrrrazy with that music blasting all that time.

Thanks for the correction! Haha, fortunately I could get away from that music, it was veeeeery loud!

    Great stuff!
What was the gas situation and hotel accommodations from Macapa to the French Guiana border like?
Seeing your apparent fondness for forts, you should visit Fort Zelandia on Fort Island in Guyana
    Be safe

I rode straight from Macapa to Oiapogue. There isn’t much in between. There’s also a 100km stretch of unpaved road which can get pretty gnarly (you’ll see in next week’s episode)!

I did visit Fort Zeelandia in Suriname. Did you mean that one?

There is another in Guyana also
Both Suriname and Guyana were Dutch colonies at some times in the past
