A few random observations I have about them! Now that you've seen them live, some of this might make sense. Best live performance of any band ever, every single time (seen them 13 times). Also, probably no other band better than those smooth seamless transitions for sure. So much of their music is an emotional and sonic journey, like they are storytellers. I also absolutely love all the sounds Jordan does, and I think it's underrated how much of a foundation of the music he is. So many times he's doing some kind of grand epic orchestra style sounds. Like the finale keyboard melody of Breaking All Illusions as a perfect example! Such an epic cinematic powerful sounding ending!
Also, I love how they aren't afraid to cover difficult emotional material. This song is a story about a couple where the woman was raped, and became so emotionally unavailable due to the trauma that her husband is ready to give up on her.
James Labrie is a great keyboard player, he actually played the chords on the song Octavarium tour while Jordan played that steel guitar intro. He definitely knows what he’s doing when he’s performing even though some of the fans don’t like his interpretations. oh well haha
@@smittycal it was very good. But James Labrie was sometimes out of voice and sound was too loud. But seeing Petrucci making sonmany solo was impressive and he was smiling all the Time...
@@kativercetti2406 honestly I kind of felt the same. The volume was almost too loud for the venue, but at least at my show James sounded very good. But I could have been fine if they turned the overall volume down a bit 😂
AWESOME!!! Thank you so very much for playing this absolutely fantastic Dream Theater tract. No one can touch these guys. They are an All Star team.
Awwww yeah! That Petrucci outro solo makes me cry every time. Absolutely love this song
I was there for this recording! A top 10 song for me. It gets me every time. Great reaction!

"Some fans don't like his interpretations" aka MOST of them just hate trash vocals and dishonesty with performing "live".
Great reaction Marvin!🙏🏻
Thank you 🙌
