I was just looking around for a cheap strat copy recently for what I needed and came across a very nice candy apple red Yamaha Pacifica for £65 !! What a bargain !! It's perfect for what I need and considering that it has routing to use both single coil and humbucking pickups, it means that I haven't got to faff about wiring my pickups into both a strat AND a les paul, I can test both out in the Pacifica....and because Yamahas are actually well made instruments, it's also a player as well as a workhorse 👍 In my opinion the only things that prevent the cheaper end of the Pacifica line from being excellent guitars are the inferior electrical components and ceramic pickups - the more expensive higher end Pacificas have better quality alnico 5 pickups and better quality wiring, pots, & switches, but that's not really an issue for me because I'll be installing 1 of my own vintage wiring harnesses which use the same components as the higher priced brands such as the usa made fenders etc, and my own hand wound pickups - all made in England - will be going in this guitar so when I've done all that, it'll be easily as good or better than an instrument costing up to 20 times the amount I paid for it. I think that the video transformation of my Pacifica will be a good way of unveiling my pickups and wiring harnesses because I'm sure that people would agree that the stock electrical components & pickups on the 012 Pacificas aren't great, and as this guitar utilises both humbucker & single coils, it's the ideal platform to launch my products on youtube.

Hey , Pacifica 112j vs Grg170 dx
Which has better built quality
Pacifica seems better over all performer
Bro I'm a beginner and have 30K-33K budget..I can either go for a cheap guitar and good amps(Say a pacfica 012/ Squier bullet and Boss Katana MKII) or I can go for a good guitar and mini amps(Pacifica 112v and Boss Katana mini)..I'm 33 already and intend to keep the guitar for as long as it lasts me..which option would you suggest ??
Katana 50 is probably the best value-for-money product in the industry ever. I'd get a cheap guitar and a good clip-on tuner to go with it, and get cheap alnico pickups from amazon if/when I want more clarity and definition from the guitar.
I agree
Going cheap guitar higher end amp will be a better optiob for beginners
and katana 50 is acctually a great amp
even for small gig with a drummer it might be enough
Sheesh! They were both pretty! \m/ You play well!
Thanks a lot aman
which one is better yamaha pacifica012 or ibanez gio gx40?
In 2021 I still Prefer Yamaha
Bro I'm really confused between the two. Which one would you recommend? I'm planning to buy one of these
Gautham Shetty look bro
Yamaha is far more reliable than ibanez and is a bit more versatile
While ibanez sound more better and the neck is very comfortable and fast to play on
Try to play both of them before buying
Personally I guess I will go for Yamaha
But if you are a metal head and wish to play fast go for ibanez
Ashley raji Thanks a lot for replying mate! I think i'll go for the yamaha Pacifica. Your vid helped me a lot :)
One last question. From where did you buy your guitar?
Gautham Shetty local shop
You can find one online
Can i ask you last question ibanez grx70Qa or grg 170 dx,grg 140 or the fender sqier affinity??
170dx
stay away from Affinity man
How long you have been playing ?
10 years
@@Ashleyraji Pretty shitty for someone who's been playing for 10 years

What should I buy : Ibanez grx70qa or Yamaha pacifica
Pls reply
It has a very good sound, in clean it sounds excellent and in distortion even better with respect to the price it is very convenient, greetings from Chile 🇨🇱🤘🏻
Yamaha will be smooth
Yamaha is better...
Hi Sir you play very beautifully can u letme know which ibanez guitars would be best for playing bollywood songs and English rock . jazz .blues pop songs please my budget is 20 to 25 k
Any one with the SSH configure will do
Jackson, yamaha or ibanez?
Never had the chance to play a Jackson. just go out there and try all three. you will get what you want.
believe me
Sometime its not you who choose the guitar but the guitar that choose you.
Which one is better yamaha or ibanez
look if you want versitality go for yamaha
Ibanez has a bit more of a agresive sound more preferbly for rock and metal
Nice video sir. I should buy my son the first electric guitar. If you can some pick for as between
Yamaha Pacifica 112J RM (HSS red)
Ibanez GRX-40 (HSS red)
Fender Sq Affinity (HSS)
Thank you.
You cant go wrong with Yamaha in my case
Its a work horse
@@Ashleyraji ... and one Boss Katana MKII 50 or 100 🤩
Thank you. Best regards from as.
@@GoranArsic2 wow ! You are the best dad ever man !
MK 50 will be a great amp at home / even on stage !
@@Ashleyraji Thanks really for the kind words. I think like this, let's buy a good amp right now and the guitar can change. For now, son are on the classical guitar 4th grade of elementary school.
@@GoranArsic2 beside that boss/roland stuff last an eternity !
And never go outdated !
Which one is better sir?
look if you want versitality go for yamaha
Ibanez has a bit more of a agresive sound more preferbly for rock and metal
Sir which guitar amp are u using in the video?
Ramanuj
I usually use Roland cube 15 XL
But in this i am using the DI signals coming from my BOSS ME-80
nice video, thanks! I was wondering between these two guitars.
Glad I could help!
9:48 is that some track you played
You've got some real good skills buddy
What should i buy
Squire pacifica or an ibanez (all from there base models)
shantanu mishra all three guitar have almost the same configuration but ibanez is more inclined towards heavy music while square will give you more softer approach. Yamaha is the most versatile of all .
So my personal advise is to try all three before you bye one
@@Ashleyraji thanxs man
Which has slimmer neck?
Ibanez has a slimmer neck
Yamaha seems to be a little bit better.
It is better
@@Ashleyraji So why you scored it beside Ibanez?
@@corporeidad score are based on some parameters i decided at time of the video
Over all i love the yamaha
Even if it scored less
Its something about it that draws me towards it
Which amp are you using?
The sound that you are heartbreaking the video is the D/I of my multi effect pedal Boss ME - 80 going into an desktop based amp simulator
But for reference i use roland cube 15XL
Nice! Like your playing!
Nice review man
Ibanez sounds cleaner
Yeah true
from what song sounds to 10:52 ?
Xan714
That's my take on
dorje - catalyst
pacifica cocok buat main clean ngeslow, lebih crunch kalo ibanez cocok buat ngerock
Itu benar
Wat amp did u use?
Dr.chiradipta ghosh Ghosh
I have a Roland cube
But the sound you are hearing I'm this case is actually my boss me 80 possessor going in to the virtual amp
Thanks for your respinse. Wat amp will be good for a person looking to buy his first electric guitar
Any amp in the Marshal MG series
Or fender champion series
Will be the best for you
Is that Yamaha Pacifica 012 Or 112
Its 012 bro
@@Ashleyraji thank you
@@Ashleyraji Sir.. Which one is better...Yamaha Pac 012 Or Ibanez grx40??
@@vishalsaha4379
muje mere students bhi " SIR " kar ke nahi bulate bhai 🤣😂
listen yamaha is really really versatile all the three pick up has a very good decent tone
in case of ibanez the bridge humbucker is great but i cant say the same about the other two pick up in ibanez
so overall if you are not sure go for yamaha you will not regret buying and its extremely reliable
but if you are looking for a riff ready fast neck guitar and mostly play metal and hard rock go for ibanez
La ibanez es mejor comparando 9recios están iguales
ギターが上手くなるとキモメンの僕でも女性にモテるのかしら
Sympa test is there electric indie guitar.
Couldn't understand you

Excuse for m'y english. I wanted Just to know if in your country there is an official mark of Electric guitar

No i dont think we have any such thing
Its very bad because Indie could make à great electric guitar.
yamaha got better pickups, and ibanez is out of tune
Alex Zhi the frets in ibanez is having fret height problem
