- Otis's Transformation and some other funny scenes from Son Of The Mask.
P.S. This Movie is terrible, but for some reason I like otis so yeah.
I also chose to leave the scene where Alvey and Otis fight out because it was too long. - Кино
0:28 I just notice this after so many years but I think Otis said the iconic line of The Mask "Smokin".
The animation at 0:37 is better than the film itself. Also fun fact: Eric Goldberg, who animated the Genie from Aladdin, worked on this.
I'm just gonna say that he tried his best to capture the tex avery vibe when tex avery worked at MGM
It looks like Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
@@provokedrobin608 Personally I get more Chuck Jones from it.
Michael J. It reminds me of the work of Tex Avery and the legendary Chuck Jones, especially when he does a similar facial expression out of his style of cartoons. 😃
@@tonymata8070 the sign on top of the cannon that says “pretty darn long ain’t it?“ was definitely a Tex Avery reference! 😄🤣
0:50-The good ending.
Yeah he’s probably not the only one who wanted the baby gone.
Everyone who watched this wanted the baby gone
0:19 Otis: (narrating) By wearing the mask, I could feel the power growing inside of me! I felt like a whole new dog. If only Alvey could see me like this now.
Thanks

Otis with the mask is so funny that it made me laugh every time he does his actions.
Otis' animation is the only one that isn't taken seriously by the creators.
0:01 That transformation is so insane
Masked Otis, masked wild and probably capable of doubling up Gremlins
You know this movie would have been a lot better if Tim would have been Stanley's son, like he would be a kid instead of an adult who finds his father's mask and becomes the new wearer.
Dude, it would have been fun seeing a father-son dynamic involving the Mask, instead of the other thing that isn't a dynamic (Tim and Alvey).
@@hagane0110 Yeah a baby born with cartoony superpowers and drives the dad insane was not dynamic.
I honestly think son of the mask should’ve been an animated movie
@Fred Sternberger there is no both
0:25 Just noticed he said Smokin' 😂
*Rockin
@@revinhatol nah is was smokin
Yep, he did, but in the style of Scooby-Doo (speaking in Rs).
I absolutely love that they got Richard Horvitz to voice Otis when he has the mask on. Amazing Voice Actor.
And Bill Farmer Too
Both Richard and Bill did a great job as Otis the Dog. 🙂
“Spooty spoot!”
That's the guy who voices Invader Zim in Invader Zim and Orthopox in Destroy All Humans!

I agree, the CGI was really good
@@AverageSynth Yeah you're right. He was well animated

@@AverageSynth ឲ្យ
It’s sad to think that the only tolerable scenes throughout this entire film is the real main character Otis. Voiced by famed actor Richard Horvitz of invader Zen, Billy, Orthopox, and most recently moxie from helluvaboss.
He and Bill Farmer (the voice of Goofy and Pluto) both share the voice role of Masked Otis.

I gave that mask to my dog, God have mercy in each and all of us.

I met him around 2015 or 2016 and it was my second convention I went to in my local area (first convention was based on horror movies), so I remember when they were announcing guests for the con and his name popped up on my feed and I lost it. I finally met him during that weekend and he was a really nice guy. I was doing an impression of Chaos from Skylanders and I had a good laugh with him, it was definitely one of my favorite moments right next to meeting Michael Rooker back in 2014.
0:37 To be completely honest I'd totally watch the movie if all of it was like that
***** Love the Looney Tunes-inspired style. In addition to Ko Takeuchi I'm trying to master that style and those jokes.
The whole movie was good!!!!
SwagKirby ikr! it looks MUCH better than the movie itself and I haven't even SEEN it
SwagKirby I would to but how would time look when he puts on the mask
So would I!

That dog is so insane. Best character
Did you guys know the Mask operates on people's greatest sin? Stanley had Lust, Milo had Wrath, Dorian had Greed with a hint of Wrath, Tim had Pride, and Otis had Envy. Pretty cool, right?
+Tigressa101 Yah know thats really interesting.
It's not really as simple as that. The Mask is meant to bring out their repressed side. For Stanley it was being able to get a girl, Dorian it was being able to face his boss. Otis was being able to get rid of Alvey and for Tim it was being less socially awkward
Pretty much this. In addition to immortal, strength, and reality warping, the wearer who dons the mask has their true desires and intentions manifest in a physical form. For Stanley, he became a goofy romantic, for Dorian, a rebel, tough guy crime boss, Milo, a playful dog protecting his master, and indeed Otis, being envious of Alvey and disposing of him.
That's how Loki worked, the trickster, menacing, pervert, the mask works just like him
Tigressa101 yeah. That dog is jealous of that baby.
I've never seen this, but I remember the TV promos with the possessed dog scaring the hell out of me.

1:06 Otis: (narrating) It was time for me to put my plan into action. But I was about to find out that although Alvey was just an infant, he was no fool.
Honestly this didn't scare me when I saw the tv ad for it. Also I love the animation with the dog and the baby at 0:37 🐶
The animation looks like something from animaniacs

My and I had a good time with this movie.
I didn't even REALIZE Otis says Smokin until someone pointed it out, that's AMAZING.
Honestly, for all that's terrible about this film, Otis with The Mask I actually really enjoyed. Way funnier than Jamie Kennedy, not as awkward as Alan Cumming, and nowhere near as terrifying as the baby.
It would have been cool if the movie was only about this dog, and the movie was renamed to “Dog of the Mask”.
@@hagane0110 That would have been way better, and it could have only been the dog's attempts at getting rid of the baby that wasn't an ugly CGI monster

The entire movie should be animated like this scene from 0:38
Okay...i have watched this movie in my childhood. Yesterday i have rewatcht this movie and Otis is the only thing to make this movie watchable. The Loki Szenes are good to but Otis is the very best of this Movie. He is the light in a Movie of Trash and boringnes.

And we can all agree that Otis with the mask on is the best thing ever since sliced bread
ROCKIN'!
For as dog shit the effects are in this entire movie, the dog actually looks fine even for today's standards.
Maybe that’s where the budget went
I mean you can see the detail in his fur and such, mind you this came out years later after Monsters Inc. in which that film perfected the animation of hair/fur in CG animation, which other films prior struggled with like for example Jumanji with the monkeys and other creatures, the effects in that film aged poorly sadly.
The 2-D animated sequence was done by Warner Bros. Animation.
Sometimes I think if they want it cartoony, they probably should’ve make it like a cartoon

Otis is actually really well animated here. I’d even go as far to say that he’s more well animated than Mask Milo from the first Mask tbh
I hate how everyone gets cartoon related powers with the mask. It's understandable with Stanley because of his inner wild self.
Digital JCW it works with the dog
Digital JCW Well Loki in this mythology his powers are cartoonishly powerful and in the wrong hands like Dorian they’d be like a murderous cartoon character akin to that of his comic book origin, I love the comics but my minor gripe is that it doesn’t make any lick of sense for Voodoo to have any cartoony capabilities, yes the mask’s powers in the comics are derived from Voodoo basically dark magic.
I think having the artifact’s origin be tied with Loki made sense in the first film and animated series.
Otis can talk while he wears the mask and Milo can’t
Fun fact milo mask in the series is voiced by Frank welker and otis mask is voiced by richard horvitz and bill farmer

Milo probably could talk but obviously milo didn’t get enough screen time as the mask when he put it on so you never know if he could or couldn’t
I like how on this movie the dogs name is Otis where on the first film Stanley Ipkiss's dogs name was Milo just like in the movie "The Adventtures Of Milo And Otis." (I wonder if that was the reason the dogs name is Otis here because of Milo and because of the Milo and Otis movie).
