- Video of the lads training in the skills house we have here available to us. Currently deployed on operations. Spare time gets used on ensuring there is little to no skill fade. The job Rangers have at the minute, sees them having to operate and work in confined spaces.

Do you lads know if the Fusiliers would do Urban training as often as you lot? Not that im dissing the Irish its just my local infantry regiment.
Major Stroothy 100% go for your local Regiment mate. For that Regimental pride. That’s something we do really well in the British Army especially in the Infantry. You will do urban training in all infantry units as it’s one of our core skills. The amount is just so to the instructors. Even in our battalion some platoons might train urban more than others.

This is a little of topic but how similar are Irish rangers to USA rangers
Why Not, so the US Army’s “75th Ranger Regiment” are a special forces unit. We are not. We are a normal Infantry unit. But well trained and extremely keen and positive

Quite abit. Urban skills is one of many areas a Ranger and infanteer must be effective operating in.
