By the time we crossed the Uttar Pradesh border, my friend, Arjunat called me. It was not good news. A cloudburst centred on the town and flooded the area so badly almost nobody had survived. Everything including our family home got sent away. He said that he and his parents were stranded in their car while trying to escape the floods and soon to be landslide after that. He told me the rains began 15 minutes after I left. If I had waited for my sweets instead of going on time, I wouldn’t be typing this comment right now.
So a cloud out of no where just appears and you get flooded? Surely nothing to see here just a weather machine doing what it was made for but y is India under attack you have earthquakes too… what’s there?!

Himalayas are young fold mountains and excessive rainfall causes most of the landslides! Yes humans are a little bit responsible but the rainy season is a big factor for landslides

That's terrifying. Floodwaters are deadly on their own, but giant logs and debris make it 10 times worse.
It looks like the mountain areas had been subjected to severe cutting of trees. Thus it results to flash floods when heavy rains come.
