We had just won a title so we were high on everyone. TJD is a proven college force, his summer league was mighty impressive if you watched. He does everything Wiseman should’ve but with more skill, at 6”10 he’s a steal oh yeah and his dad was Dale Davis who played for several years in the league.

I don't think he's going to shine as instantly as some people seem to think. All that shot blocking and dunking was against smaller, slower players than he will face in the league. He and the team should keep their expectations and his role in check in his first season. Offensively he's going to need a midrange jumper and the ability to finish with both hands, currently he really only finishes with his left.
give him spot minutes where it makes sense and try and get him in the pick and roll with CP3 to maximise his impact in the few minutes he will get.

TJD is needed to give Loon a break. Loon needs less minutes. He might work well with CP3 too. He fits the system except the spacing. So, he could be Loon 2.0 in maybe 3 years which will be huge but the Dubs still need a legitimate big for the ADs of the League. Very excited for him.

Some may not know this , but this is Dale Davis son. He played 17yrs 8rpg and 6.6ppg for a career. He made one All Star ⭐️ game. Many nights He had double doubles. So TJD has the pedigree. He is a better scorer and Rebounder than his dad . 6-8ppg and 6-8 rpg as a rookie not a stretch. Plus assists and a bigger Draymond starting a fast break. Plus he’s hungry and felt disrespected being drafted so low. So yeah a steal .😅

I was so frustrated last year when he came back for his senior year and wasn’t taking any threes. I figured that was the only reason he came back was to at least develop a corner 3 so he was NBA ready.
Obviously I’m not in practices, but there’s no evidence he can’t make threes! He has a pure looking shot. I felt like Mike Woodson was holding him and IU back, because the only way we make a run last year is if he could stand in the corner for 10 minutes a game and still be a threat.

Let's not make a big deal about TJD's non-existent perimeter game. As a senior at Indiana, TJD never missed a 3-pt. shot--because he had zero attempts...zero! Which only speaks the role he was asked to fill, in the paint, at Indiana, under a head coach, Mike Woodson, former NBA player and former NBA coach. TJD was a consensus All American at center, as a senior, and he won the Karl Malone Award as the nation's best college forward. As junior and senior, TJD was B1G All Defense. Later, in a pre-draft combine, in a 3-pt. drill, TJD shot 10-25 (40%). So, he is multi-tool package, but GSW will decide where his development focus will be.

Here's an honest opinion from an IU fan that watched TJD for 4 years: He's better than the 57th pick, but he's not worthy of a lottery pick. I think he'll have a decent career as an NBA role player, but he's not going to be a "go to" guy. He is smart, mature, fairly athletic, and well-rounded. But he doesn't stand out in any one area of the game, especially when compared to other NBA players.
His one obvious shortcoming is shooting. It's not that he's necessarily a bad shooter. He just never took jump shots in games, so no one knows. That 18-footer he made at the 1:52 mark was literally one of about 10 he attempted from beyond 12 feet during his entire career at IU. He attempted 3 shots from beyond the arc at IU and made zero. I'm not saying he can never be a jump shooter, but he's completely unproven at this point, so I think it's a big risk to assume he could. Regardless, I think the rest of his skills are good enough to make him a serviceable NBA big.

@@brianb2783 From what I've seen, the team seems to be interested/sold on his passing, rebounding and ability to screen, which is something they get from Loon. Where he shines above Loon is the vertical spacing. Being a high IQ player, they expect him to fit within the team offense and seems to function quite well defensively in providing a presence in the paint. If he hits, they'll start him over Looney at some point. They will definitely take a look at his shot, but with him not shooting it at all in college, he may have Ben Simmons syndrome. Thankfully he shoots his free throws tho!

In all due respect, I'm will aware of his name I'm old enough now to say I follow his career and believe me he is human just like every other media personality like Barkley, Shag and the many who were layoff recently by ESPN. has made more than his share of predictions particularly with his so call lottery picks and when they are selected.
Your response is childish indicating only those who played in college that have professional pedigree have the right to speak their opinion if that is the case you wouldn't have plain fans who love the game as much as anyone participating on your so call Sculture!
If you comprehend my statement I said wait until he actual plays and to be honest for the Warriors this season I hope Jay is right cause unless a surprise happens in the middle they aren't going too far in playoff and I love the Warriors since they arrived in 62. Jay might be right and he might be wrong just like all those so call Jays who were parading around with the former players and as late as Baldwin!
Until it happens Jay opinion is no better than anyone here. I'm personally tired of all these nonsense predictions like with JK since he was drafted, next MVP, HOF, I say it again STOP!

He's got the lob threat. Chriss was learning to shoot the three, but JD seems to be more the passing type than shooting.

hes not going to get a chance regardless of how good or bad he is. Kerr wont play him. the only way he gets significant minutes is if something terribly goes wrong like looney or draymond going down. maybe he might be our Brock Purdy. most likely not tho...

I think not this year whether KERR admits it or not he screwed up last year as to what he did to the rotation. He will need or try harder to get minutes for them. His main responsibility is to make sure the 2nd unit Paul, Joseph, Moody, JK, Payton. Saric, priority, Jackson should be much easier due to his size and position. If it doesn't happen I see Kerr out the door unless he rides the top of the division and if that happens he should be able to get the minutes.

He’s not better than Boucher and we let him go for nothing and the Raptors scooped him up.
He looks like another Jordan bell, it doesn’t matter what he does against a small ball lineup of 22yr olds, what is he going to do against JOKIC AD ZUBAC JJJ STEVEN ADAMS AYTON etc? He’s not even better than Kuminga tbh and we rarely play him!! We need to chill and demand a real big man, we are gonna run Loondawg into the ground and regret it!

@@SwishCulture I wish we called mike brown and made a play for richaun holmes he would absolutely elevate us back to contenders and make us multi-dimensional again. Regardless we need a real big man because Chris Paul barely made Ayton and bismack better!!! I can’t believe we think he’s going to magically turn shit to sugar over here. Real warriors fans don’t rock w Chris Paul and can’t wait till we move on from this experiment foreal! I just hope it’s not embarrassing and we don’t lose kuminga in the process.
