What an amazing hike! I wish in the USA we had so much open land to hike, here, everyone fences off their properties and you can't trespass across them. And no hiking trails either 😥. Only in state or national parks can you hike like this. And your paintings are utterly lovely and totally capture the beauty of the area.
Thanks Adrian, yes, no doubt since the Ullswater way became an "official" route the stone circle is more popular than in the past. Thanks for the comment.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thank you for sharing your adventures - since I am in Canada I will never get over to your beautiful location so I really enjoy viewing while I paint! Love your pup too - so well behaved he is.
Thank you John. Thats a kind comment. I am trying to improve the videos each time but nice to receive a compliment such as that. Its a nice area, a good way to get up onto some of the Far Eastern Fells too.
@@LifeistooshortCK Thats great, glad that it arrived ok. Don't forget to watch the DVD inside the back cover first as it gives more of the story behind the whole project. Thanks for your support.
Great video. Hughscar Hill is the first on my list of the Outlying Fells when I'm next able to get to the Lakes. I especially appreciated the extra details not mentioned in the guide like the lower cairn with the better viewpoint. I'll have to slightly alter my plan now!
Thanks Philip, yes its at the top end of the Far Eastern Fells region. It was actually filmed in the last week of August during a spell of excellent weather.
Enjoying your videos. Wish you made more Plein air painting ones. The walks with your older pup though are very relaxing. I take my pup with me always also. Do you take water for your girl? Thanks for posting your hikes.
Thank you Janet. I plan to make some more art related films shortly but as I don't class myself as an art teacher it is not easy knowing where to pitch content for the channel. yes, my dog, who is now 12 goes with me everywhere. He usually finds water to drink along the way (the lake distrct has plenty of it :) ) but he also gets a drink from my supply if needed.
Great video Andy. Really appreciate all of them for walking ideas and places of interest which could be missed. Loved the pair of glasses on the southern cairn, which really stood out and made the photo-still. The top stone on the cairn also looked like a flat cap. A homage to AW perhaps or just my mind working over?
Haha, thanks for that Eric, yes, your mind is probably working overtime. Well spotted though about the glasses. I did notice them and in fect they were only a cheap set of reading glasses. There was no one around to claim them and they had obviously been there for some time so they are now in my bag. If anyone watching this film claims them I will galdly post them on :)

Fascinating film. Really enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it
Another wonderful video, thank you Andy.
Another great video. I am really enjoying the content.
Thank you Chris
Another great video Andy, brightening up a dreary wet Sunday, I’ve. been to the stone circle walking the Ullswater Way 👍🏻

Great production & editing Andy, enjoyable viewing on unfamiliar territory for me.

Really enjoyed that. Love watching you paint those sketches. Just ordered your book and looking forward to that 👍. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Ken. Not only for the comment but for ordering a copy of the book, that is greatly appreciated.
@@AndyBeckTeesdale its just been delivered. What an outstanding book and clearly so much work has gone into it. We shall enjoy reading it very much 👍

@@AndyBeckTeesdale we watched the DVD and had a tear in our eyes when you had finished it! The book looks fantastic 👍
Mug received and as you know we won’t have to argue over it now. Very kind of you. Thanks 👍😁. Ken.

Thanks Les. There are some rather good fells in the Outlying Fells and they tend to be generally quite quiet.
Thanks. Interesting walk - a corner of Lakeland that I'm not familiar with. Looks to have been quite some time ago from from the weather!
