Centruy, Azul, Ticket to Ride, and Cascadia are great picks that I would absolutely agree with. I would add to that list: Welcome to, Potion Explosion, Junk Drawer, Similo, The Bears and the Bees, and Jamaica.

Thank you so much! They are all wonderful introductory games that have plenty to offer. Jamaica is one of the best racing games around, still!

Fun idea for video sometimes it’s hard to look at what is good for start if you are playing for years and what you think is easy for beginners, new to our hobby might be actually a bit hard and overwhelming because we use so many terms and so many similar moves and mechanisms in so many games over the years our level of understanding is different. One more note i found that some first players like Ticket to Ride Europe map a bit better because there are that train stations allowing you to use someone else’s tracks. Anyway cheers in new year 2024!

Great comment Max! That was our thinking with this video, to make these suggestions nice simple games that anyone can play, the intermediate video will provide games that have more of those mechanisms that we all know. It's very hard to look outside the bubble when you've been in the hobby so long!

Finally got around to making a RUclips account to comment on stuff because you guys deserve more comments. Awesome idea for a series. I can't wait for the rest. This is going to be such a heartbreaking series for me because the later in the series that you mention the games that I love, the less likely I'm going to be able to find people to play them with me.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and check out the videos!! So kind of you to make an account to show some love, you're awesome. We can't wait to get to the advanced and expert games, but you make a great point, the heavier they get, generally, the smaller the pool of people to play them. I hope you have a good board game community nearby!

Just a quick note about Cascadia... Cascadia is actually a mountain range within the Rocky Mountains that stretches from British Columbia, Canada right down to Northern California.

Really love the golem versions of the century games! As a huge fantasy game fan it’s the perfect reskin for me!

They are the prettiest versions of those games! I think if I had bought them again, I'd possibly go for the golem versions instead of the standard ones, but in any case, the games are amazing! Thanks for checking out the video!

Railroad Ink (especially the newer Challenge version) and Ticket to Ride are amazing games! At least for me as a beginner. Azul and Patchwork are not my cup of tea but here is my suggestion: Zombicide: Black Plague is easy to teach and to learn and very atmospheric, if you're into this kind of medieval fantasy setting.

Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoy those games, check out the intermediate video and you might see Zombicide black plague...
