See I LOVE this so much. And I'm not against a big wedding if that's what someone wants- I think they should do that. I'm not here to judge how people spend on their wedding!! But for us, we were happy to just pay out of pocket with our savings and put all that money we would've spent on a big wedding towards home renovations, and lots of travel to make memories as newlyweds! ❤️

Exactly my thoughts! Photos were SO important to me! I will always choose to spend a bit more on photos to have a photographer that I really vibe with and enjoyed our style of photography because it's such a personal day that's being documented for you!
My husband and I eloped on the top of a mountain an hour west of Asheville, NC $2100 came with photographer, location scouting, officiant and personalized vows. We went to lunch after with 10 family members. (Mainly parents because all our parents have significant others), my 2 brothers and his cousin. It was the best day ever. And we spent a nice pampering week in Costa Rica for our honeymoon
