This prayer, Upalo, was one that Teatr ZAR encountered in the Kashveti Church in Tbilisi, on their first travel to Georgia. You can hear them tell the story in this video, where a fragment of the original song is also played.

Nini met the song in 2006 when I joined Teatr ZAR, as it was sung in the first performance, Gospels of Childhood. It has taken all these years, and a request for a very special wedding, to gather the courage to sing it.
Here is our version, in a small church in the South of France.
