- In today's video we are going to remove power steering finally. Rip to parallel parking tho.
Told Y'all Double upload this week!
A 1/4 NPT threaded 3/8 hose barb - This is the part needed. I picked mine up from home depot.
Hope you guys enjoyed the video! Make sure to hit that sub button as well!
U wanna keep some fluid in there for the gears
Dude... Go back and throw some power steering fluid back in the rack from that looped hose. There's a hydraulic seal inside the rack that will go bad if there is no fluid. You could disassemble the rack and cut that seal, but that's a whole other project. What I did on my DA3 was loops the lines to the OEM reservoir. Super easy And everything still looks oem.
I don't know why more people don't just loop the line up to the reservoir like you did. Smartest thing to do so you can still add more fluid in the future. Plus it allows the pressure and any air in the rack to go somewhere.
Ohh OK soo you would keep the return line that goes to the reservoir and just delete the pump?
How do you loop it in the reservoir? Any videos to share?
Will this effect smog check?
Or else the rack will go bad fast
You need to fill the rack whit Grease!
Yeah, i also like to ask if its possible to remove all the fluids, belt, power lines, then just inject grease using the holes from the power lines, then just cover the holes with decent rubber, leave a very small hole for pressure to go out, not sure if it will work.. hope someone can enlighten me
Your supposed to keep fluid im n the rack
Are u sure that is 1/4 threaded frm home depot
Thinking about doing the same on my civic since its not my daily anymore and leaks also.
CZ_Mate might as well! I tried fixing my power steering 3x and every time it leaks from a new place 😂😂😭
What would work on a 7th gen, what fittings
How did it hold up fam?
What size bolt is it?
DAmm bro subbed thanks
Sick video where you from
Can someone explain why u have to loop it?
Superior It’s to keep the steering rack lubricated
@@itsriotv what happened if the owner before me didn't loop it. They just deleted it and covered it with foil paper lol
@Courtney Saunders I'm asking cause my rack is wide open. There's no loop. Was wondering if I just get the other parts if it would work good
@Courtney Saunders I've had it for a month. I'm sure its been a while like this. Steering is good. Just at low speeds it's fucking sucks lol
@@oso999x well duh that bcz of the lack of ps 🤷
