I've seriously watched this video about 5 times and learn something new every time. Thank you for this great tutorial!
Thank you, Sarah, as a Cricut newbie, your video was very helpful to me.
I can say thank you enough for this video. I have had my Cricut for a week now and haven't been able to figure it out. Thanks to you I now know how to make the headers, weekend banner, and heart check boxes. I have seen other videos and by far yours is the best. Thanks again and please keep these videos going. Can't wait to learn more. 💓
Enjoy and it was very helpful. Thank you
Very informative video! I can't wait to get my planner and look into purchasing a cricut!

Thank you, this video was so easy to follow.
BeeBeauty Glad it was able to help you!
thank you so much! I took the plunge and ordered my Cricut last weekend and it should be arriving to me on Wednesday I can't wait to start using it.
I recently purchased a cricut and have been so frustrated trying to understand what all the buttons do, how to line things up properly, and size them appropriately. Loved this video, great step by step. I would love to see more with the cricut!
+4myRN I'm so glad you found this video helpful :-)
Awesome!!! I learned so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
To align things just select what ur trying to align and what ur aligning it to, and click the align button. It's up there next to the go button :)
+Cristal Yellen Thank-you, I had not previously known about that feature. It's amazing, you really do learn something new everyday!
+Simply Sarah Marie yup!! I suggest u watch some videos by melody Lane she teaches how to use every button on ds
+Cristal Yellen I hope that didn't sound offensive. I loved ur video but it's always nice to learn an easier way to do something
+Cristal Yellen Thanks Cristal, I'm no pro when it comes to the cricut. I'm glad for the advice. I'll definitely check out Melody Lane's videos :-)
Oh My Word! You are the best!! Thank you so much!!!
Loved it. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this video. I've learned how to make my own stickers on my Cricut
+Allycatscraps I'm so glad you found this video helpful. Stay tuned for my upcoming video on how to make Bill Trackers for your monthly spread! :-)
love this tutorial. thanks so much
This was so wonderful and helpful! Thank you so much for making this video! :)
very helpful - great video!
love this tutorial , please do more. thanks
Yay! Yes, I have another DIY sticker video coming out in a few weeks :-) Stay tuned!
In cricut you can use the align button to line stuff up. It will make your life so much easier
Lovely video! Would you mind sharing the model of your Cricut please? Xx
+Hayley Of course I don't mind :-) I now have a Cricut Explore Air. The first Cricut I purchased was about seven years ago and it was the Expression. It still works wonderfully and I keep it at school to create bulletin boards and all sorts of wonderful educational activities for my Kindergartens.
+Simply Sarah Marie thank you so much! The video was really helpful!
😁
for your first time you did a great job...
How do you make Morning Day and Night perfectly centered?
+Katelyn Calderone You can click on you rectangle, hold down your shift key and then click on your words. Once both are highlighted, select Center in the Align button at the top of Design Space. Hope this makes sense. :-)
Great Tutorial and Info! TFS!!
Great tutorial!!!
I have cricut explore air but I also use xyron machines!
Can u make a video where you cut stickers printable you have brought on etsy?
+avholland I am actually working on something like that now. It's scheduled to go up on Wednesday :-)
Please do more of these!! 👌🏼😊
This vid is sooo helpful, tfs
Wow, you are amazing! I was looking for a video just like this. You did a wonderful tutorial and made it look pretty easy. Thanks a lot! New sub here! 🙂
Great tutorial!
i have Cricut expression, I am going to try to make some stickers for planner Thank you for your video.
Omg thank you so much there are no videos that show this! Please make more :)
+Mayra Caldera Thank-you! What other kinds of stickers/cricut videos would you like to know how to make? I can't guarantee I'll know how to make them all, but the ones I do know how to make I am glad to share.
I would like to see how to do the ombre checklist.
Mayra Caldera Ok :-) I can definitely share how I make mine.
+Simply Sarah Marie Thank you! you are awesome!
So I’m trying to do white boxes with black lettering. How do I get the cut line OFF the text?
How do you keep the paper from curling up after pulling it off the sticky mat? After cutting my images they peel off since the paper is curled. Thanks for the informative video!
+Dok Chon I know this may sound crazy but I always leave my new cutting mats on the table for a day without the cover. It make the stick a little more manageable. I then peal the paper from all four corners instead of trying to take it off from all one end.
Simply Sarah Marie I will definitely try that! Thanks Again!!
Hey,
I don't know why you flatten and attach the headers in the way you do. But I would just select all for the header and then flatten which will automatically attach the writing to the box. And instead of using copy and paste you can just select 7 in the preview.
Also if you want to use the same colors in your banner as you did in your header you can use the sync tab nex to edit to drag and drop them into the same color.
And using duplicate is faster than copy and paste.
thank you for making this video, it helped so much. if you get a chance you should make another with full and half boxes :)
Did the cricut cut thru the paper? And did it cut the white space... or the hearts and words
Can you make it public on cricket
Keykey family I can in try in a week or so. I am currently moving and everything is packed up. I am more than happy to share it if I can. 🤗
How do you do this with your own artworks?
Hi! I've been debating on investing in a cricut for planner stickers, I just have a (possibly stupid) question! Are there any pros or cons to using the "print then/and cut" option on the cricut? I don't have a separate printer, so I was planning on using the cricut for both the printing and the cutting of the stickers. Is this a good idea or should I invest in both a printer and a cricut? Thanks in advance!
The Cricut doesn't actually print anything, you have to have a separate printer. Then you put it on the sticky Cricut mat & it cuts it out for you
Does this work to design stickers, but print on a normal printer? (vs a cricut) This seems easier to use then inDesign, which is what I use, but I don't have a cricut, but do have access to the software
+Amy Linton I believe you need to have purchased a cricut.
what speed and thickness do u have your cutter settings on so it cuts perfectly and not all the way threw the sticker paper
+JACKIE TABACH On the Air there is only one speed i believe. However the cut pressure is 158.
Ok Thank you for your reply i appreciate it can you do a video tutorial on the full and half size boxes with the ombre affect on them or a pattern please thank you
+JACKIE TABACH I can definitely do a video on ombre boxes. I'm still working on a better method of doing a patterned box but once I "perfect" it I will share.
This helpt So much !! Can you do full box images next time
+michellefromtheblog I'm so glad that is video was helpful :-) I can definitely do a tutorial on full box images.
thank you so much for this, do you think you can do patterned boxes too.
+Cindi Atkins For a future video...definitely :-)
Hi Sarah, I'm wondering if there is any way print a set of stickers to cut but also having a small logo without cutting it. I've looked everywhere for this info and i can't find it anywhere. Please help if you can! Thanks!
+Hannah Frasier You know Hannah, that's something I've never thought about looking into. Let me investigate and get back to you.
+Simply Sarah Marie Thank you bunches! I so appreciate it!
Do you know if this works on older Cricut machines?
+Kaia A If you can use the Design Space you should be able to do it. However, You might need a slightly thicker sticker paper. Cricut's sticker would probably work best for the older machines.
Hey Kaia,
Unfortunately the print then cut feature that is needed for this is only available in Design Space which only works with the explore line of cricut machines and not the older ones.
i dont see a command key on my keyboard...i have a shift key...tab key..enter key...control key...alt key...what key to use to make letters stay in after you flattenen..
+Sheila Moore Do you use a pc? Mac computers have command keys, so if you don't use a Mac then that is probably why you dont see one!
ok
+McKenna Thanks McKenna for responding for me :-) Yes Sheila, If you are using a PC you will not have a command key, however your Alt key will work the same way :-)
Do you have a video for half boxes
(stickers) for planners? Have ou ever made foil stickers?
Quick Question!! How can you put a full layout on one sticker paper, I'm having the hardest time trying to keep it all one sticker paper.. Please help.. I been having to use two or three sticker sheet per layout.. not cool...
+Le Le Ok, make sure the images are close together in your design space but not touching. Then drag your mouse over the whole project and attach it together. This will lock the project in place. If you jump to 19:00 in the video I show you how to do that.
Ok thank you so much, I really appreciate it.. Your te best looking forward to more videos
No problem, glad to help :-)
Dont be discouraged! There is an easier way to line things up! Just select the hearts and go to the arrange button and choose to align to left and then align vertically. So much easier!
Sorry click the "align" button
where is the command button located?
On a PC the command key is the Alt key I believe.
ok thx...
What sticker paper(s) do you use?
+Hot Cocoa I use Staples White Mailing and shipping labels for Inkjet/laser printers. I have a link in the description box to the store I buy it from :-)
+Simply Sarah Marie thank you! I just subscribed!
Hey Sarah, the larger flag that you used for the weekend what is the numbers or the cartridge that it came from I too have the access but am unable to find it. When you did the checklist banner I was able to find it using its number. Thanks, I absolutely loved the tutorial. My husband watched a little bit of it and was excited because he thinks I will stay away from Etsy now and just make my own stickers. Hahaha
Hi Stefany, I can definitely look the number up and let you know this afternoon. Glad you found this tutorial helpful :-)
Stefany Atwood what was the number or the place to find the flags for the weekend banner please
Is this for Erin condren?
Yes it is 😀
As long as you purchase the shape or pattern from cricut, can you use that shape to make stickers intended to sell of Etsy? Also, do you ever make full box stickers?
I was wondering if you know how to create a sticker that is just a word without having the cricut cut each individual letter? I've tried a few different things and can't for the life of me figure it out?
+Rubi Valdivia Yes I do know how to do that! :-) Ok, Type your word, choose your font, then go to the edit tab. Once you're in the edit table movie the letter spacing down until all letters are touching. Lastly, head to the layers tab and hit the weld button. Voila! You have a connected word.
+Simply Sarah Marie I'll give that a try! thank you so much!
Let me know how it turns out!
thank YOU thank YOU thank you!!! TRULY TRULY helpful!! New subbie by the way. :-)
~diane
+DiValenz145 I'm so glad that this video was helpful to you :-) If you have any questions or future video requests let me know!
All I use is blank glitter headers so would those measurements work for any kind of headers cause I thinking about making and cutting my own as I can never find of the colors I want on Etsy
The measurements should work for any type of headers designed to fit an Erin Condren or Happy Planner ;-)
When click "GO" mine is not colored...its just the outline of the shapes..what am I doing wrong?! :/
Have you flattened them so that they are a Print and Cut?
+Simply Sarah Marie not sure. I will check! no really nothing about the Cricut, just got it last week. Thanks for ur help!
No problem :-) Let me know if that works.
Thank you so much! One more question you may be able to help me with? When I go to print from my printer it makes my project larger for some reason. Like way larger than 1.5 inches. Do you happen to know why? Thanks again!!
+Katelyn Calderone Oh my, I'm not sure what to tell you about that. I've never come across that problem before. If I can think of something I'll let you know!
when I do the flatten an attach it moves the cut line for the image and I don know how to fix this .Any ideas on how I can fix this?
wow this is GREAT!!! I have had my Cricut for almost a month and I go. crazy trying to make something and fail ever time. You have explained this so well, that I'm going get computer fired up and try this. I'm watching this on Amazon Fire, so I can watch you step by step at the same time. The things you can make and put in my planner is the reason I got the Cricut. I have not been very successful so far. what is the command key?????? This is the only thing I am confused about.
I am new to all of this... do I need the internet to use Design Space if I use my own designs?
Also can the Cricut images be printed and made into stickers and sold on Etsy?
what paper did you use? thank youu
Loved this video! I was playing around in design space trying to make some check lists similar to yours. I've been using some of the options in the "align" menu to help me evenly space out the hearts on my flags. I usually copy and paste several hearts and line them up roughly how I want them to appear. Then I select all the hearts, go to "align" and select "center horizontally" to line them up. Then I select them all again, go back to the "align" panel, and select "distribute vertically". They come out perfectly aligned every time :)
what software is this? The one I downloaded doesn't look like this at all :(
+Jennifer Mercurio You could have downloaded the Cricut Craftroom instead of Cricut Design Space.
+Simply Sarah Marie is their software free or is there a fee
Mercedes Perry Yes :-)
+Simply Sarah Marie yeah I did. I commented before I even bought my Explore One. Lol
