And Chibiusa is not 8. She is very old but somehow doesn't grow up like a normal person. But this fact was not told clearly in the 90s anime.
@@lunyiea That just sounds like the creepy “Uhm, actually, this little girl that looks 5 is a 8000 year old demon god dragon🤓” excuse
@@NaraBunnii it's not an excuse. She has been like that for hundreds of years being the only child of the forever young Queen Serenity and King Endymion. This isn't some fetishised franchise made for specific readers/audiences.
No he's not her groomer. He's her guardian/companion/love interest. They've stayed like that for hundreds of years and she just never 'grows up' because it's the family traits/perks/aftereffects of staying forever young. Not that she didn't want to grow up, nobody just knows how to help her (and the enemies use that weakness to their advantage and turn her against her own parents for that; that arc was diabolical).

... I... this censorship is just sad
You think that’s bad? Initially, the Sailor Stars arc didn’t even GET a dub in the US and Canada because of the controversial “men transforming into women” thing.
Yep, over here in french part of the europa too. It is that which is so sad at this point!
tf is it sad??
i mean I do understand the censorship but how is this sad
Sailor moon was so LGBTQ+ friendly and all the characters are amazing and deserve to show full representation. It's sad that we live in a world where things like this are frowned upon for no reason. I think these characters were cool ASF and deserve to be apart of sailor moon. "Men transforming into woman" okay well they slayed and look amazing so get over it. Transform into anything you want it's just fun being pretty
Wait the Sailor Healer's Hair flip is so hot
real tbh
lol who?! These are definitely not the most iconic soldiers. Some contraries don’t even know who they countries
I love how they were dudes and they transformed into their sailor sonas. 😅 it tickles my brain 😊
the usa they just stopped airing the show all together before it reached to this point 😂 they did not want to bother putting the effort
Japan literally said, “The future is FEMALE” and transformed those men into women on screen like that. God, I love Japan 😂
They were men or women? I never understood
@@gabrielatheodorescu688 Kinda both, really
@@gabrielatheodorescu688 In the old anime their bodies changed from male to female in the transformation, but in the original manga and SM Cosmos they were female all the time, they just dressed as men
@@ImTheBatmann oh
@Andy_0L At the end of the stars anime they went back to being permanently female. The male bodies were disguises for their infiltration on Earth. Also, I believe while they were male, they were actually different people than their true female selves. So male Seiya falling in love with Usagi was a boy falling in love with a girl. I mean the starlight said goodbyes twice, once as men and once as female sailor guardians.

I'm from Russia and I watched Sailormoon as a kid in 2000s. Realising that we didn't have any censorship while the US and Korea had is mind-blowing
Ill never forget the legendary Fish Eye modeling scene
Omg SAME i was so confused as a child watching it because in my countrys dub fisheye was just a cis woman so that scene of her stripping was so confusing
@@Andy_0017 lol, yeah
90s American censorship was special
Thank God they didn't censor this here in the Philippines
No clips from this dub exist, so there's no confirmation.

First time seeing this group, cause I never watched Sailor Moon, and omg they’re so pretty??? Like WTF????? It’s a good day to be bi 🙏🏼
yeah you can have both in one person *cough*
in Korean version, sailor star lights are boyish woman, not men(like Sailor Uranos) so cut all the transformation scenes
They cut Uranus' too?
well ,in original manga they are boylish woman
@@kou7191I think what they were trying to say is that the starlights in the Korean version were masculine women like Tom boys in a similar way that Sailor Uranus was a masculine woman rather than men that turned into girls.
Because they are tomboys
@@masumi158no. They are actual men. You can see their bodies morphing when transforming

U.S didn't get it at all. I didn't know about it til I searches up for DVDs. It popped up and had to watch it on RUclips from channels that had Sailor Stars. So excited when I got it for Christmas and then when it came on Netflix. Plus when they made all in English with no censorship was even better.
If you meant the VIZ media dub then you must be right
They had their own animation???
Sometimes different countries just draw over what the original country produces. They don't always reanimate it themselves
The genderfluid sailor senshi seriously relieved a tension in my brain. They were always my favorites!
Wait. If they put clothes on them, wouldn't they have to edit a lot of the scenes? Any fighting scenes they're in, for instance.
Thats exactly what they did!

No, Russian version of SM was never censored. And it had a very direct translation, too, like Seiya saying “It was more convenient to be a boy on this planet” or Haruka saying “There is more than love between Michiru and I”.
@@eve_eve1050 Cult according to I found dialogues from the episode in which Nehelenia attacked again and sent her demons to the outer senshi, they fought on the roof of this skyscraper and Uranos fell behind the railings but Neptune caught her and holds her hand. If not shots, then dialogues. And what did this dialogue look like in your country?
Lol wow. Good thing I have the OG Sailor Stars season on DVD
In Russia we had no censorship. As a child it was not clear for me whether they were female or male
Cuz children and not yet developed and the body of a little girl is like the body of a little boy. So to them there is still no difference

The korean version is more manga accurate since they dont change gender
And how did they solve the problem with the scenes when Seya hugged Usagi and his male flat chest was visible? Or what did they do with the episode in which the stars trained for a musical under the supervision of a nun in plain clothes and a director?
The midriff censor is killing me

I think uncensored is acceptable. Especially since RUclips accepts it.
its cool to see a youtuber be so real and open about their feelings like that. keep fighting for the best bro, no pain lasts forever

They actually animated new Heinshins for the Starlights in Korea? Huh.
We actually didn’t have this censored in Mexico (I was lucky to have moved there when this season actually aired), and you’d be surprised how LITTLE censorship there actually is there.
