Great video and topic, Tom! I've only recently started to try to lure my wife of 20+ years into playing some games and I agree that this is a great one. In fact, all three games that have jump-started her interest -- Lost Cities, Schotten Totten, and Quest for El Dorado -- are all Knizia designs. So I guess he's the patron saint of mid-weight couples gaming! I don't expect my wife will ever become a heavyweight gamer and that's fine with me but I agree that it's nice to have SOME games we can play to further the bond between us. Thanks again!
❤ this!! Thanks for sharing this Tom! Many of us boardgamers of the world owe you a lot for doing all these reviews and content, and now we also would like to thank your backstage support crew, Mrs. Vasel and family! God bless you guys and hope for many happy and fun gaming years ahead!
Wonderful story! Your story resonated with ours as well. I met my wife at a church as a friend, and we played a lot of boards game together back then. We started off with 4-players Lost Cities, and then on to the original 2-players Lost Cities after the marriage, and we love it! Other board games that you've mentioned and more are also on the top of our list throughout our marriage journey including Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Catan, BANG!, 7 Wonders, Puerto Rico, Pandemic, and etc! We sure did experience some ups and down even while playing board games haha! (I tend to hate losing from random factors) 좋은 컨텐트들 감사합니다! :-)
I bought this on your recommendation a couple of years ago and it did the same for me. My wife and I both enjoy playing it and has lead us to other games. My wife is also not a gamer, but these types of games are gold. Thanks, Tom.
Great to hear the love for Mrs. Vasel!
Indeed. - Check out Tom''s two legendary videos on the game Vasco Da Gama, in the second of which she and the daughters join in the fun.

Seven children? That exceeds the car size in the Game of Life.
You don't have seven all at twice ,by the time you get to your sixth , the oldest two are probably independent adults who drive their own
I was searching for a two player game for me wife and I, think I made my mind after this. Cheers to the vassels!
What a coincidence. Just played this game with my wife today! It’s a great classic.
Best of these you’ve done so far.
Great game. My spouse approves as well. We play it over and over.
That's a beautiful tribute to your wife
You get a thumbs up for giving your wife a great shout out. A women can either make or break her husband. Happy Easter!
For my wife, the games that got her interested were Ticket to Ride & Pandemic.
Mine too!
Interesting!
Did you say seven??? 😳
I finally included my GF and sister in my hobby with "Dale of Merchants".
This is one of the game that me and my girlfriend also like very much
