Leeds Beckett University and LEEDS 2023: a year of culture

Leeds Beckett University was a Principal Education Partner of LEEDS 2023, playing an active role in celebrating the arts and culture scene in the city.
LEEDS 2023 showcased Leeds Beckett’s creative industries and communities, celebrating the culture which is everywhere in the city.
We forged new partnerships with creative industries, communities and businesses, that offered new opportunities for our staff and students.
Over 300 students engaged in over 40 Leeds Beckett and LEEDS 2023 events. The partnership provided 36 students with work placement and internship opportunities.
Several of our alumni and Honorary Graduates were also involved with the celebration, including Sharon Watson MBE, Kadeena Cox OBE, and Jamie Jones-Buchanan MBE.
