    How come your videos do not have lots of views? Really people have no clue and worth of the real information. Your videos are way better than those buttery vloggers, no content, just blabber PPL.
    Big Fan Ben 😀

    You had already made a video about this fogging issue. Last week, I have done the same by inserting a small silicon bag and there is no fogging now! Thanks Ben!

      glad to hear that brother. you will have to change or re use the silica packs every 6-8 months though.

    Ben.. RE really needs to hire ppl. like you for their R&D department. They make good products, just rough at the edges. Small details like this go a long way in terms of RMA and finesse.

    Great video again .... I used fishing pole elastic ( number 11 red) to make a nice rubber seal. Polished the inner glass with some washing up liquid, added a silica gel pack. also added a few drops of ACF50 into the female speedo plug and then made a boot to cover the plug using self amalgamating tape. 6,000 miles. I also did the whole job in a nice dry environment.

    Brill Vid! 👍👀
    I have had my UK 2021 Himalayan for 5 months now and have had fogging by the LCD screen within the first few days..people say get them changed under warranty, but why waste my time riding nearly a 6 hour round trip to my local dealer to get another set of clocks that will fog up too? then keep wasting time going back for more and more replacements 🤔
    Every Himalayan I have seen has had the same issue so i have chosen to live with it for now (dont want to void the warranty opening the dash) as it doesn't really bother me, I can see the speedo, fuel gauge and rev counter just fine and that is all I need 😁
    new sub! 🤘

      No I haven’t . It should be a hardware issue . You may have to get a new instrument console

    And, with the passage of time, have these measures worked? I note below you speak of the requirement to change the silica gel bags, so presumably, moisture is still entering the instrument console somewhere? Great video by the way.

    Just a doubt - did you poke holes in the silica gel packet before fixing it into the cluster? Because, if you didn't, it's as good as not being there as it won't absorb the moisture in the cluster, right?
    Also, I joined your team by painting the taillamp matte black and installing the orange reflector on the side of the rear number plate, Have been a big fan of your DIYs! Thankyou for your videos!

    • @ONTWOWHEELSBEN
      @ONTWOWHEELSBEN  3 года назад

      I have the packs inside a small air tight metal container . No chance of moisture getting inside . Also I have 5-6 packs at any given time inside the container . So nothing to worry .

    no one cares about the o ring, its not airtight any way, otherwise it would not fog up. My speedo also has this problem. i think we have to live with that probleme. I did not find a solution becaus the silica pack does not help that much (i think...)

    • @ONTWOWHEELSBEN
      @ONTWOWHEELSBEN  3 года назад

      The silica pack helps for about 5-6 months ( depending on the amount of Rainfall your area receives) . I don’t do a lot of rain riding .
