God, I remember unloading my whole ammo reserve of both shogun and pistol before being able to get him down. It took me 3/4 tries as well. If only I knew.

I always kill bloaters with molotov and bombs and noticed that the legs were always ripped off. I should have realise that leg weakness before.
As a second thought could be cause of all the armor crap on the body taking out the legs meant to make it crumble over its own weight?
I like how in TLOU2 a major plot point is that Joel decimated the Fireflies, but according to this run, aside from cutscene kills, Joel killed like one Firefly

I don't know why but the mental image of a zombie trying to break into a car and getting sucker punched once as a random guy runs by, causing it to go into a full existential crisis so deep it just lets the same guy run laps around the car until he punches it to death is the funniest god damn thing i have ever heard on this channel.

8 years after playing The Last Of Us for the first time and I’m only just now seeing that the weak spot on bloaters is their legs/feet. That would’ve saved me so much heartache.

Alternative Title: Streamer plays Mike Tyson's Punch Out in Zombie Apocalypse
The reason the bloater's weakspot is its legs as it's the most vulnerable part of the body. The rest of it's body is covered in layers of hard fungus, but looking at the legs its very clear theres a lot less of it.
From what I've researched years ago I remember nothing of a "Leg damage mechanic" that the devs wished to program, they were just very intelligent with their enemy design and how they would react realistically.
most people wouldn't drop dead if they were shot in the foot. I don't think any of the other unarmored zombies get one-shot from the foot. so why would a bloater?
@@AuroraAce. Bloaters are extremely heavy, shooting their foot with a rifle would break it instantly, and since the AI cannot run around with a broken limb, it counts as death. It's good real life logic on top of video game logic you gotta take the good with the bad. And if you were shot in the foot with a rifle like the one ellie has, your foot is gone.

Wanna know how to make this game even more of a horror story?
Cordyceps may not actually control the minds of the insects it infects; instead, the mycelia grow into their "muscles" and force them to move the way the fungus wants. The insect is still conscious but in incredible pain while infected.
So... there's every chance all the "zombies" in this game are still entirely conscious of what's happening and unable to stop themselves from attacking you, and are aware that you're trying to kill them.

They're very hard. Especially on Survival Ranger Hardcore and whatever the hardest modes for Dishonored games are, I haven't played in a dog's age.

The real horror was how progressively edgier all of the box arts got; seriously, was there a single person who saw the face on the second game's box art and thought "I want to play that game"? This game's DLC (or standalone thing? Apparently, it's been both) was like that but less so. I guess once you get big enough it doesn't really matter how appealing or interesting your box is, the name is good enough.
What I love most about these videos is how I always look at the title and think ‘well that’s not possible’ and by the end of the vid all I can think is ‘oh yeah, that makes perfect sense’.

Given how well it sold, I'd say the majority of rational thinking adults (whose minds cannot be shattered by pixel lesbian kisses) have conquered the challenge already.
Can you make the last of us part 2 without killing off your main character in a way that relies on a massive contrivance and your main character acting like an idiot, making fake trailers showing him alive later in the game, and falsely copyright striking people who criticize you for this? The fact that she looked like "It's Mam" was like the least important part of that.

After finishing the Last of Us show, I've been wanting to replay the game. I have to say thank you for these amazing tips, cause I'm playing through grounded and the "aiming while walking" strategy is a godsend. So is the stay close to your partner and kill strategy. Thank you! 🙏
