I’m a big fan of female artists but usually bc of my own taste don’t usually love the more pop and pop adjacent singers, but I actually really like Billie Elish. I feel like she’s an example of how to do your own unique thing within the mainstream. Like I’m not reflexively against mainstream music bc get that bag, I just don’t like how a lot of times they have a cookie cutter sound that’s made to appeal to as many ppl as possible. I’ve hoped that Billie being successful means more artists with their own vibe can get big. Like anytime an artist makes interesting music and pops off I’m happy bc that’s how you get more interesting music made.
As a metalhead, there is a vibe to her music that feels metal in some way. The music itself is FAR from metal, but there is an underlying current of metal or punk that really hits. I think its just the desire to make you question and make you uncomfortable. Either way - I love it. If you understand and appreciate music, Billy is amazing in all her complexity and simplicity.
I think you're a little confused, those sounds are noises that have been used in horror movies before, but she did have a recording of a drill that she recorded at the part where she's dropping to the different levels of the music video with the hands all over her
Actually it's the same guy who's singing the words like "billie" at the start but finneas usually would sing in some songs just not this one I think :) ur not wrong tho it does sound like him
Billie wrote this song as a way to help her deal with her night terrors. If you've never had night terrors they can leave you paralyzed while your semi conscious it's very terrifying because you can't scream for help when they happen.

Billie Eilish's “Bury A Friend” serves as the title sequence music for True Detective's fourth season, but as the show's director and showrunner Issa Lopez explained in a new interview, the pop singer's influence on the show goes much deeper.Jan 15, 2024
It's worth checking out "Therefore I Am." This song hasna lot of bass, and so worth a listen to when y'all have a chance. Great reaction! Fun watching y'all react to Billie Eillish and going down this unexpected and unpredictable rabbit hole.
She made it via SoundCloud, and the internet. Natural social media, word of mouth explosion. You Should See Me In A Crown.... sich a damn good song When The Party's Over, oooooh, that video. It's a slow one, but... Also, Billie and Finneas come up with, and now, direct/produce the videos.
Omg Billie is so talented. I’m so happy you liked it! And don’t forget: she’s super young here, I think she was 17 or something like that. It’s a crazy amount of talent at that age! I’m so happy she has Finneas (her brother) as her support system. They are just amazing together.
Her first EP and this album were written and recorded by her and her brother in their bedrooms in their parents' tiny house. Many of her videos are very cool.
Billie is on my everyday rotation when I listen to music! She’s one of my favorites. A couple songs that show her vocal range are No Time To Die, Ocean Eyes and Happier Than Ever! 😊
Definitely, I've not paid attention to her either, but wow, what an introduction to Billie. But I get a Ren vibe in her lyrics. Also that male voice is her brother, Finneas. And yes, I only know that from 'Bad Guy'. After hearing this song, I realise how close the sibling bond is. WOW!
i think ‘copycat’ was the first song that made me want to listen to more. some of my favorites are ‘idontwannabeyouanymore’ ‘you should see me in a crown’ ‘therefore i am’
You might already know this, but Billie and her brother Finneas have won two Academy Awards for original songs they wrote /performed for a couple of movies. (the James Bond movie No Time to Die and The Barbie Movie)
She and her brother did this entire album in his bedroom (there's a Carpool Karaoke episode where she shows the room). Their parents are in the movie business, but they're not huge names or anything. They might have had contacts to help and get the music out there, though. But whether their parents played a role in getting her music out there or not, the talent is still undeniable and she could have easily become just a one hit wonder. But she didn't, she's a huge star.
Metal head here…I think she has just an amazing voice and seems like a very genuine person. She is Definitely a style all her own! Very talented!
Completely agree! I’m a metalhead too and I do occasionally like listening to her

As a metal head that also grew up on punk rock (42 yrs old now). What’s a song of hers to check out anyone think?
Random Fact: The little noise you here during the "I wanna End Me" segment is an actual Dentist's drill that she recorded during a dental visit.
There is also a shovel full of dirt being thrown under the lyrics "Bury a friend"
I think you're a little confused, those sounds are noises that have been used in horror movies before, but she did have a recording of a drill that she recorded at the part where she's dropping to the different levels of the music video with the hands all over her
@@Jsv_1021O4 I definitely know what a shovel filled with dirt being thrown sounds like... 😀 or I could be crazy 🤪
@@Stinger_tbx Clearly not because that shovel noise appears in a completely different part of the song, but hey maybe you are tripping. 😂
The male backing vocals are actually Finneas. He also produces his own solo stuff, and he's really great too.

Please do more Billie!! NF, Ronnie, and Billie are my favs!!
I haven't heard a lot of her songs but Ocean Eyes is amazing. Probably my favorite of hers.
Billie Eilish's “Bury A Friend” serves as the title sequence music for True Detective's fourth season, but as the show's director and showrunner Issa Lopez explained in a new interview, the pop singer's influence on the show goes much deeper.Jan 15, 2024
I heard this song as opening credits for True Detective with Jodie Foster and Kali Reis
It's worth checking out "Therefore I Am." This song hasna lot of bass, and so worth a listen to when y'all have a chance. Great reaction! Fun watching y'all react to Billie Eillish and going down this unexpected and unpredictable rabbit hole.
Metalhead here but billie is one of my musical guilty pleasures
She made it via SoundCloud, and the internet. Natural social media, word of mouth explosion.
You Should See Me In A Crown.... sich a damn good song
When The Party's Over, oooooh, that video. It's a slow one, but...
Also, Billie and Finneas come up with, and now, direct/produce the videos.
The aesthetic is Metal, the music is pop and THIS metalhead since 1983 luvs her music. “When the party’s over” the original song should be next.
I'm actually subscribed because of Sleep Token now I'm binge watching your videos 😅 You two are fun to watch!!! 🤍🤍
I'm so happy you are reacting to Billie!!!
You both should react to the rest of her albums!
A series on tv uses the beginning of this song on their introduction to the series.
I'm obsessed with your Ronnie shirt 😂❤
Yes! Please more videos of Eric getting his mind blown by Billie haha. Happy New Year yall
Lovely is my favorite song of hers but she has many that are good
That whole album of hers is SO good, she's an incredible artist
Definitely, I've not paid attention to her either, but wow, what an introduction to Billie. But I get a Ren vibe in her lyrics. Also that male voice is her brother, Finneas. And yes, I only know that from 'Bad Guy'. After hearing this song, I realise how close the sibling bond is. WOW!
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE
i think ‘copycat’ was the first song that made me want to listen to more. some of my favorites are ‘idontwannabeyouanymore’
‘you should see me in a crown’
‘therefore i am’
You might already know this, but Billie and her brother Finneas have won two Academy Awards for original songs they wrote /performed for a couple of movies. (the James Bond movie No Time to Die and The Barbie Movie)
Finally!! I love me some Billie
yayyyyyy. more billie please
little funfact from production , the inversion scene in the hallway they built a whole camera and chair rig to actually flip her for the shot
her first song was ocean eyes and she made and released it at 13
She and her brother did this entire album in his bedroom (there's a Carpool Karaoke episode where she shows the room). Their parents are in the movie business, but they're not huge names or anything. They might have had contacts to help and get the music out there, though. But whether their parents played a role in getting her music out there or not, the talent is still undeniable and she could have easily become just a one hit wonder. But she didn't, she's a huge star.
