In this video I demonstrate my favorite way to use the material pad in Sculpture, in Logic Pro. Enjoy! 0:00 Overview 1:04 Musical Examples 3:33 Synth Bass 4:29 Sculpture 6:15 Material Pad 9:10 Automation
Soo refreshing to hear music that is NOT Hip Hop for once on RUclips! :) The time signature change from compound 3+3+3+3 to 4+4+4 (without leaving 12/8) sounds great. You can also do the automation within Sculpture in the "Morph" section, under the Material section.
@@RustyKnorr I was gonna say, I hear more tutorials with edm rather than hip hop. Must be because of the amounts of modulation tut I search where in hip hop its pretty basic
@@StratsRUsyou mean instead of tired old worn out guitar-bass-drums cliches? Doesn't matter, certainly whatever you like is the best, you'll be happy to know.
Thank you so much again for another wonderful and informative video! I especially like your tips/ideas on song creation (like this one) and how to maximize what Logic Pro offers. I love using Logic Pro’s arpeggiator thanks to your videos.
Super, I just went through hell with a project.... 😬 ok my first serious project... And my rookiness made pay it expensive. Was putting up a list of recommendations for entry level producers and This very sytnh is mentioned as a "be aware of your tools". Awesome
Hello Josh and thank you for this new video. I'm a guitarist and I often use a Boss looper. Can you tell me if it is possible to do the same thing with Logic Pro and if it is possible to use a sustain pedal for example to record and trigger loops. Perhaps, if you have the time and courage, you could make a video on this subject. As usual, I apologize for my broken English. I am French ……..
Hi Josh! Just watched this tutorial. Great as always. But it gave thought to all the synths in Logic like ES1, ES2, RETRO SYNTH, etc. I’m one of those guys who looks at the all the dials and knobs for a while… and then goes back to Studio Brass and Violin Ensemble. You think maybe a video or two on what the rest of the knobs and dials do might be in store? I’m guessing they could be grouped since a lot of knobs do similar tasks. Always look forward to your next tutorial, Gianni❤
I always like to just test out the entire preset lobby of every stock synth. Play around with midi fx too like arp and chord trigger. Logic has so much in the box the value is insane! 🎉
Is there another physical Modeling synth like sculpture? I’ve seen others that specialise in subsets of sculpture, like bells, springs sounds. Aside the material selector , I like the “exciter*” selector (blow, bow, strike) * Rant:I wasted at least 1/2 an hour to look for the right word on the Apple support site before I gave up. I was repeatedly turned to German although I searched with English, turned my keyboard to English… Fricking Apple knows what’s best for you

Still just a bunch of techno computer crap.
It's easy not to find Hip Hop.
Or any type of music.

There should be other videos elsewhere on you tube aside from the manuals itself.AND Josh has tutorials on Sculpture albeit a decade ago !

Love it. Thanks for this. Are you planning to share the Logic project too?
Thanks for another great tutorial. Will you do an in depth sculptor tutorial? I have no idea what those numbered sliders on the left do.
Great vid bro
Was Sculpture updated? Looks really slick!
This is it!
