You give someone a cashiers check because you do not want strangers having your account number at the bottom of a personal check. You can stil get proof from the bank via your bank statement showing you withdrew money from the bank to buy the cashiers check.

Nurses usually do the job because they have the heart for it. A medical setting that she's used to and is where she is valued is a whole lot different than a courtroom , especially one with cameras. I'm a retired dental hygienist. I loved my work and the people I met. I would have an anxiety attack before even walking into a courtroom.

If I was loaning someone money I’d give them a cashiers check or do an electronic transfer. I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving someone a personal check with my account information at the bottom.

A cashier's check is almost always better. It's the bank letting the recipient know the money is guaranteed versus a regular personal check you can write, but then when the recipient tries to cash or deposit it, it bounces cause there's not enough money in the bank. A cashier's check is guaranteed money. Personal check is not. But personal checks are useful cause they can be traced directly back to you, versus cashier's been issued by the bank. Either way, plaintiff has good records of the checks.
