Mighty Mouse gets on my nerves but I gotta agree with this. This ain’t WWE. These are real competitors and they only have so much time to do what they do at the highest level. UFC does it’s best to make a proper main card and some people won’t appreciate what’s in front of them and let the moment build
It'll be a true miracle if UFC 301 makes more than 100k PPVs.
It's on par with a fight night card. You cannot sell a 125lb standalone championship fight as the main card... They just don't pull numbers. I mean you had DJ who couldn't even pull his own cards, it's bizarre they have this as a standalone.

@@brandonfreeman6517 I don't think this has anything to do with weight class, but rather with having a spetachular fighting style combined with a charismatic personality. Conor McGregor was the biggest draw in the UFC's history as featherweight .

After making a breakdown of this fight and researching it, I never would've guessed how close this fight is on paper (Anthony Smith style), Erceg has a real shot, but this is a huge step up in competition. Should be a banger!

This is a challenge for Erceg, he tends to get caught when drawn into chaotic brawls, while in a patient sniping contest he has almost no equal. Fortunately he still has a great chin. Pantoja will probably go batshit for the first round intending to overwhelm, that's where Erceg might do best to focus on defense and weather the storm, while downloading some timing data, maybe spend the round on top if grappling feels favorable.
Erceg 100% will out strike him, but we will have to see if Erceg can not get taken to the ground. This is just striker vs grappler. If it stays on the feet Erceg wins.
