    Good review, I bought mine together with the falcon. I built the stand first then mounted it after step seven of the falcon build. It made it much easier to work on, on the underside.

      I would imagine it would. I had that thought as I tried to affix it. It seems like it would make handling the build beyond step 8 or 9 much easier (unless you have super strength in your fingers to grip the set 8). Take care and thanks sorry for delay. I am not a social media type.

    I got the same stand and it’s great. What I ended up doing to mount the stand is removing the 4 legs in the middle in books under the remaining 3 legs (front and 2 rear). It seemed to hold the weight ok. I did remove all the panels I could from the top as well. I kept the falcon on the edge of a table and slid the stand under and pushed the red pins (the ones opposite from the cock[it) in with a thin flat head. I then stood it up and pushed in the top pins. Things didn’t fall apart and had it done in about 8 minutes. What started off as scary ended up being a success. Thanks for your video showing me where the pins go! I too had the issue with those 2x1 pieces. Had to take them all off.

      Hi and Soz for delay. Didn't think anyone would watch these. Thank you for the tips also. I'll try that when I do a rebuild. 8)

    Thanks. I actually didn't have to remove any 1x2s from mine. I installed mine right at the end of bag #4 (Lepin set). The top two solo red pins went in easily. I then held it by the frame at the upper turret and leaned it back to pop in the lower pins. The ones one the left were exposed and easy, the one on the right is hidden behind a skirt that hides the landing gear a bit, but it's easy to pop it out with one hand to connect that final red pin.

      Yes. Had I the forethought to order the stand (didn't even know it existed) before building I would have done similar and it gives you something easy to grab onto when flipping.

    I assume this ko Set is made by Lepin. The stand is called “Effermans vertical stand” which was created by Efferman. You don’t need magnifying glasses, just google for the instructions. Much nicer than this mini printed manual. Helped me a lot.
    From my opinion it’s best to put on the stand while you building the falcon. After finishing bag no 4 seems ideal.

      Ah Ok. Thanks for the heads up and crediting the original designer. I had built the falcon already, but for those of you who have not, take note of Xul Nag's recommendation and see if that works for you. The falcon gets difficult to move about towards the end of the build and the stand might make that easier.

    Any idea of shelf depth requirement? Do you know the measurement from front the stand to the back of the falcon?

      @@studsmcsnap7672 haha, no worries. I've already built it and displayed it. Just wanted to get the right shelf for it. Thanks for replying 😉

    Does anyone know if this stand will fit the original UCS Falcon (10179)?

      Looking for this answer too - I bought it for the 10179 - and I don't see how it can fit.

      Hi and Soz for delay. Didn't think anyone would watch these. Probably not as the 2006-7 undercarriage was reworked a lot in the 2017 version. Maybe with some reworking. Let us know if this isn't waaaaay too late and you try it

    What is the height of the falcon once it is in the stand and slightly tilted?

    • @studsmcsnap7672
      @studsmcsnap7672  5 лет назад

      Probably a lot to late in response. Sorry. Um, the height in my best guess is basically the width of the falcon at its widest point give or take. I have since had to disassemble mine and can no longer measure. Again, sorry for delayed response.

    have you seen the Lepin 05079 hammerhead set? if you haven't already please do a review on that. it's become my favorit after I learned it exists..

      Hi. I have not. But I am looking at it now. I do not know If I'd review that one as it is a MOC. But it is a nice looking ship and has me interested. If Lepin (or better yet Lego) produce a UCS ghost on the other hand... At heart, I am a core Lego fan. Only Lepin sets I purchased are the Venator, this stand, and UCS Falcon. I only did the Lego V Lepin UCS falcon review because I got tired of waiting to buy a Lego version and bought the Lepin version (sure enough I was able to get the Lego one two weeks after I ordered the Lepin… Go figure). Also the Lepin Falcon has been IMHO the only set where the savings of buying the lepin version was worth it (about 1/3 of Lego). Otherwise, the service and quality of Lego in every other set I have is worth the bit of premium you pay for Lego sets. Lego puts the time and effort of creating sets and the deserve compensation for that IMO. That said, my respect for Lepin would be higher If they compensated the MOC designers for their designs. I'd be more likely to buy other Lepin sets if they did (especially for sets like Ghost Or Hammerhead). Thanks
