I love my 4490! I really wish the high flow option was available a couple years ago when I got mine. Its a great machine but there are a few ways to make it even better. Great video and its awesome to hear the familiar rattle of the knife when you touch it, there's no other sounds like it! Great time on the face cord challenge!
Well, I can tell y'all from experience that if it's Split Fire, it's worth the wait. Never have found any big box stuff that comes close to one of their splitters. No contest at all.
Thx, and we love your legendary after-purchase support, so noticeable due to its rarity is most industries today. Can't wait to see you sell "accessories" made in house, like the round pick ups (don't want to use the popular brand name), log jacks, etc...all metal--right up your alley. @@SplitFireSalesInc
Thats tough to say but, probably two hours or so if you're by yourself and stacking everything by yourself might be even longer. The two way splitting action will definitely save you time on the splitting.
It can be found under the 3455/65 as a product option. CANADIAN 3455/3465: split-fire.com/hydraulic-log-splitter-3455/# USA 3455/3465: split-fire.com/us/hydraulic-log-splitter-3455-us/ Sorry for the confusion.
We've been thinking about recreating this challenge with a different machine and wood. But, we are certainly confident that firewood will not be an issue for the machine or user.
What is the length of your rounds? I would guess 12 inches as you are able to place another round before removing the split pieces. I cut mine at 16 inches so maybe the longer stroke length is needed to place another round then removing the split pieces. That is one awesome splitter. I am trying to decide which model to get and a 2 way vs 4 way. Blessings to all at Splitfire!
You can get 16" rounds in both ends at the same time. Just my opinion, save your money on the 4 way. I rarely use mine. The single makes really nice wood. I would buy the high flow and the extra height beam. I added the extra extra tall kit on my 4490 and it's like splitting wood on your kitchen table. I'm 5' 11" if you're shorter, that might be too high.
@@markw2266 Thanks for your comment. I purchased the 3490 high flow with the 32 inch height. I am really enjoying the splitter and wish I had the 32 inch height years ago! I find I use the singe wedge more but at times the 4 way is just right for the smaller rounds.
No, we do not offer a foot pedal option on most of our machines as they do not meet our safety standards. Our newest 1165V will have an alternative option in the future
Yes it was fast forwarded. I placed a timestamp in the top corner before I sped the clip up. Feel free to compare that timestamp to the videos time on the control bar. Most people would just skip over 4+ mins of splitting in the middle, now its a bit visually pleasing at least.
First Split Fire I’ve seen take part in our 1/3rd cord challenge. I’ll add it to the playlist on our channel!
Sweet! Thanks a lot!
And thanks for starting the challenge!!
Good for you Marco. The number one requirement from folks like me. Cycle time. Hands down important. Wish you all the best.
That looks like a great setup for faster cycle time. Pretty great to see the 20 year old model still serving those families.
Good looking splitter should be a great addition to the fleet.
Nice. I'm really digging that little vertical splitter that's out now. That's on my wish list.
Very nice! Demo was great!
Ordered my 3490 yesterday! Looking forward to using it soon. Thanks for all the videos! God bless & good health!
Thanks Glen, all the best to you too.

Great time on the face cord challenge!
That's great to hear! Yes too bad, maybe it'll be a future purchase haha.
Thanks!
Seems the double action would be the best way for most people people
And it’s fast and safe to use plus the power to get any kind of wood done ✅ 😊

@@dennysmith5284 Thats great to hear, that is our aim! Hopefully we can one day!
That 20 year old machine is quite the testimony to the design of the machine. I cannot imagine how many cords have been through that! 😂
My thoughts exactly
You guys need more videos of splitters with the high flow. There aren’t to many and I’d like to see more of the 3490.
Thanks for the input! We will definitely be shooting more HF videos this year.
If you want to trade a 3490 for my 2265 electric I guess Id be willing to do that. Hahaha. I think you guys got the best splitter out there.
NICE!
Nicely done 🔥💯👍. Andrew from NB :)
Thank you 🙌
In my real life scenario, I don’t like to work that hard!! Looks like a great machine
Haha thats how we feel as well! We are just showing what is possible.
Thanks! They work very well.
Great video If all of your logs were cut and ready to go how long do you think it will take you to split a cord of wood at your normal pace? Thanks

@SplitFireSalesInc okay thank you very much for your reply
I looked at your site but did not see this listed. Please send me a link to price it with what options I might want. Thanks

Nice splitter, thats furnace boiler wood though, what about firewood?

LOve split fire, ordering one from nederlands distributer soon
@@adammac4381 Bonhoff is a great supplier for Europe, they will definitely take care of you there.
Bonhoff dont have the vertical model in stock yet, it is a new machine so I suppose it will arrive in good time

Was this a 24 or 36 bed?
Hi Charles, this machine has our standard 24" stroke.

Noticed no gloves, and no eye or hearing protection. Otherwise, great splitting! Thanks for sharing!!
