Trumpet Guy I really love these kind of songs but I can’t always play it because it is to high pitch and then I’m thinking that it is really high so I’m stressing myself and then I cannot play it therefore I was wondering if you had some kind of tip to help me out?

@@yelhsaviolet There is something called second octave. First octave: C=0,D=1 3,E=1 2,F=1,G=0,A=1 2,B=2,C=0
Second octave: C=0 ( same C note as the last C in first octave),D=1,E=0,F=1,G=0,A=1 2,B=2,C=0. the last C is the highest from second octave higher than the First octave C

Hey. would you mind doing a short video tutorial playing the notes upper F that circles the top line of the staff and up to the high C? I know what F, G, and upper A pitches sound like, but I need to hear the upper B that sits on a ledger line and the upper C that circles a ledger so I can get those pitches burned in my memory.

I have been taking Trumpet lessons for a while. I am still getting use to things, but I am doing well. I still have to get use to the upper notes and still getting use to reading the music. If I have any questions, is it alright if I ask you?

Thanks, I need all the encouragement I can get. I had band lessons with my instructor today. I apply myself and I practice 7 days a week, 2 to 3 hours per day. How long did it take you to get good at the Trumpet?
It takes a few years, but if you practice that much, you will get there faster

Hello! My name is Jadyn and I am in 7th grade on my 2nd year of playing trumpet. I'm planning on doing marching band in high school. I was wondering if you could give me some tips on hitting high notes, like high A and high C. Your playing is great, and thank you for this turtorial! :)
honestly, building range is really about persistence, and doing range builders every day that can help you expand your range. There are all kinds of range builders out there. I made a couple of videos a while back about range building, which I think are in my beginners playlist.

Step 1: Sit up, shoulders back, trumpet fixed position, (posture)
Step 2: Make as tight as lips as possible while still having a little open to let the air out, as little as possible.
Step 3: Take in a breath and blow hard while keeping your lips like that
You should then have your high note.
You could do toungue slurring, you pick any random fingering and you just keep playing the next highest note until you can't go any higher. I do this a lot since I play French horn and trumpet in highschool plus I play mellophone in marching band

I'm having trouble getting use to the upper F that circles the top line of the music staff and the other high notes above it. Everything other pitch under the upper F I am use to and can do well. The upper F up to the C that circles a ledger line I desperately need to get use to.

Do you mean, how do I play high notes? Just practice. You have to work on expanding your range every day. There are many ways to do so.
To get a higher note you should make your lips a bit closer together but not too close where your air won’t go through and blow faster air I hope this helps

Hey, I saw you commenting on other people's comments so I was wondering if you could help me out here. I just wanna know what's a good trumpet to buy. I'm a freshmen in highschool and I can play up to a solid D in the staff. Just wanna find a decent trumpet where I can build my range. I've been thinking about buying a Jean Paul TR-330 since it seems to have the whole package and is said to have every one tested by a guy. Not sure though :/
It looks like a decent beginner to intermediate trumpet, so I would think about how serious you are about playing. If you want to play through high school and into college, I would recommend a trumpet that is more on the advanced side. My Trumpet is a Bach Stradivarius, which I got my Freshman year and it still does everything I need it to do. These trumpets will be a bit more expensive, so if that's a problem I would suggest buying one used(ie. from craigslist)

Hi I am 12 years old and I started playing instruments when I was 5 ik how to play 5 and the best one is trumpet and my mom say that music just leaves you to a hopeless person and you can't make a career about it and she say that my dreams are not gonna work out my dreams are to play in a band but it's hopeless what advice can you give me to improve
honestly, you can definitely make a career out of being a musician. It isn't easy, but you can do it. My advice would just be to keep practicing all the time. Work on getting better every day by finding the spots in your playing that are the worst, and then getting better at those things. I would also suggest asking your band teacher, and if you can take private lessons, that really helps too.

My trumpet is a Bb. I would definitely suggest a Bb for a beginner. Professional trumpet players are about the only people who really need a C trumpet.

You start off saying it goes "A, G, A, E..etc" but then you start playing G,E,G,D..etc. I think your sheet music is in a different key xD. Otherwise, nice tutorial!
