I am attempting to have a relatives death ruled a homicide, the perpetrators were historical personnel. It would be easy to achieve a mansaughter conviction but I believe that murder in the first or second degree describes the crime more accurately. I am hoping for a at least a charge of second degree murder because there was reckless abandon (as in no one in their right mind would have had such blatant disregard for human life), as opposed to simple criminal negligence.
